listen mate, I live in the us now, you plug a tv in and watch it, no licence needed, fuck the TV license BBC shitheads, you know how much money the BBC make, tv licencing back in the day funded the BBC because they didn't rely on advertisement.
flip to 2017 and the BBC are raking it in, the TV license does not pay for all their programming, they get funding from allllllll over.

The problem lies not with the officers carrying out the deeds but with the people who send them to do the 'dirty work'

The bigger story here is the police totally exceeded their authority & effectively acted in a prejudiced manner in the interests of a private company.
The police should have confined their activity to preventing a breach of the peace. Instead they actively participated in effecting an entry to the property. No doubt on a bogus warrant, obtained through misreputation.
I can't believe that female police officer threatened him with arrest for refusing to answer questions from a private company, without any legal representation, which he is entitled to under the 1986 PACE act. That is an absolutely outrageous abuse of public office.
Never sign anything, especially if you don't fully understand what you are signing & even more especially, when under duress.

I answered and spoke with him, he said I needed one and pulled bullshit lines out of his arse jokingly saying "well, you can't watch football with your mates on a saturday" and I responded "I haven't got any friends, it's a sad life, and no amount of television will fill that void" and I closed the door.
I haven't got any more people knocking on my door (to my knowledge, I'm at work a lot) but I do still receive a weekly letter saying they will be visiting with a warrant, because I've left them "no choice" - the letters are bullshit and mean nothing, they are just scare tactics.

When the guy came I invited him in. I showed him that their is no way I can receive a signal. It was kinda funny because he kept saying please turn on your sky box. I said that's not a a sky box. It's a Wii game console.
Ok can you please turn on your sky box.
He wouldn't be satisfied until he saw the qui logo up on the screen.
What the BBC is doing is illegal and against our human rights. But no one will Listen. And in the they have expanded it. It use to be just watching live. Now if you have a tv. Moniter. Computer. Or even a phone. EVEN IF YOU HAVE A GOD DAM PHONE.
The BBC are criminals that use the law because they are in part the the government. It would be so easy to just encrypt the channels so you have to pay for it. Like. Well almost every other channel out there that does not use adverts

The thing that gets me with these.... is that apparently, these 'warrants' are issued in a court... well in a court, if a judgement is presiding, then the defendant has the right to put up a defence. So why in these cases, are the defendants never invited to the court? It makes no sense. If they tried to issue a warrant with the defendant in the same room, it would never be approved. The defendant would be able to ask the TV Licencing company what evidence they have to suspect he might be watching live broadcasts.... and he would be able to refute that.
I would suggest that a) you just ask them to take you to court from the off-set... and b) you ask them to stop sending their broadcast signals to your property.

Because the UK is a corporatocracy. The people of our nation have no power whilst they bow down to the tyrannical regime that we refer to as Government. The people of our nation have great power vested in them. Though without the exercise of that power, we are all but powerless to resist tyranny.
Energy companies do the same shit. Eon broke into my house with a warrant that claimed i refused them access to service a dangerous meter. I did no such thing. Instead they installed prepayment meter, because i challenged a ridiculously high electricity payment demand. So now i must either move house, or continue to pay them what they claim i owe. No bill detailing my actual usage was sent. No court record at the local magistrates. No means of redress. Happy days.
