My son is in his 20s. We aren’t a farming family, but he’s taken to it with a passion. Just qualified as a sheerer, doing an apprenticeship with an amazing farmer. We see the tough side of farming, and anyone farming does an amazing job. Without farmers, say goodbye to the British countryside.

Yes ! Somehow Jeremy is an enabler of “stars” though - the same was true with top gear… the common thread seems to be Jeremy. That’s not to take away from Kaleb, but somehow Jeremy can turn people being themselves into being stars in a seemingly non contrived way. It would be great to hear the things Jeremy has taught kaleb about how media works - I suspect it would be deeply insightful and interesting . Jeremy really knows what he is doing as a writer / tv programme maker at a meta level - it’s notable this does not look like top gear nor like the grand tour… so his knowing how tv “works” is at a much higher level … I think a lot of the shows success is also how it is edited together to each episode create a “story” of what they’re up to - that keeps you engaged every moment. I wonder how much of that is Jeremy - and how much the director / editor ? Maybe Jeremy is very good at enabling enough footage of “good stuff” on camera that then naturally fits together to tell a good story … as I say be interesting to know how that all works. Maybe he’s a good enabler for a director and editor to shine as well … knowing what it is they need for them to perform at their best too.

What a beautiful interview. And Kaleb, you mate, are the man! I love the show, the chemistry between him and Jeremy is soooooooo much fun. And what makes it such an excellent show, is that next to the entertainment, it shows how hard farming actually is. But more importantly, how the bureaucrats in all their ignorance make it basically impossible to farm and provide the population of food. Especially in the UK after BREXIT, things have gone nuts.

Well he was skeptical which makes sense a new never tried way of farming is going to be met with scrutiny but he eventually was impressed with the general idea (especially when they agreed to pay for the crops)
Although his skepticism ended up being correct because the new way didn't work out. It might eventually but you have to understand with any farm you often times have 1-2 year periods to play around with your income. You mess up and end up in the Red too long and you're closing up and selling the property. So the guaranteed crop vs experimental may take a few seasons to get it right could be one too many seasons.

The government needs to ask itself *WHY" young farmers vent their head with shotguns and not try to restrict their access to guns.
People need to ask themselves why they pay 1.80£ for skimmed milk when farmers only get ~0.33£ for their raw milk.

In series 3 he farmed ALL the arable land literally and figuratively by himself, not to mention that of OTHER farms he also works for.
So what do you mean above his station? 🤣 Love seeing him on but if anything he should have his own farm by now.
