"You don't know what you've got until it's gone..." Truer words have never been spoken. Rest in Peace, Chester Bennington. In The End, it really did matter.
Simple lyrics, Big message... With the instruments and the whole feeling through the song it really gets me the feels. great execution, Love the guitars too, They are not 25 anymore. They are around 38 years old. People change, And if they kept doing the same music over and over again these 15 years, You, the people that grew up with it. Would be sick of it.. Look at avril lavigne getting the hate for almost being 30 and still being that post teenager girl. Nonetheless whatever direction Linkin Park will go there will always be people that say ''not good'' I admire them for having the guts to make the music they want, And they have such a versatile discography, And it did not even break them! It made them stronger! Love this song!
This here, is exacty my opinion! You have my respect. Yeah sure, I am just a stranger from the internet, but I assure you you're not alone in this. LP, just like anybody else, change, and they still are a legendary band. My favourite band actualy...:)
you can't compare THIS to the old songs....they should change their name at least...if you want to change, then do it for GOOD and please check your hearing...
Only Linking Park songs can give me a huge rush feeling of liberation. I mean I'm sure other songs can give some rush of the feeling, but Linking Park is number one. Ya know?
This song is now dedicated to all the people who did not appreciate the recent musical change of Chester, those who did not appreciate "One More Light" ... Rest in píece wherever you are, Chester.
Trust me, I know exactly what we lost. All I've been listening to for like the past 5 years is Linkin Park, over 90% of the music I listen to is them and Mike's new stuff
Most of my favorite bands constantly are evolving with every album they release, and all of their fans like that about them. Why is it that Linkin Park fans want the band to NEVER evolve?
something only needs to evolve when it has to adapt to survive..linkin park could live on forever with there rock & rap style, and that's what they shall doo
Am I the only one who thinks that Linkin Park's music has improved over time? For every In The End and Figure.09 in their early work, there was also a ton of generic whiny stuff. A Thousand Suns, on the other hand, is one of the most original and exciting albums I've ever heard.
For sure dude, their sound is way more interesting than back in the day. Not to say that back in the day wasn't interesting or awesome, but I am glad they didn't say the same!
Henk Plaggemars I think if they had kept making nu metal, people would have lost interest a long time ago. Nu metal died in the early 2000s, but Linkin Park sure as hell didn't!
r.i.p. chester, you were right, we didn't know what we had, until now, that you're gone. Every song i listen back to, they mean so much more now. You were letting us all know it was going to eventually happen. Thank you for everything.
Linkin Park change genre a lot, all you genre specific fans are what make every album "not like linkin park". The fact is that they made all these albums, get over it and wait for something you like.
That was better than I expected! Linkin Park did say "The Hunting Party" will be a heavy album. "Guilty All the Same" was a very heavy single and shows a good example of nu Metal music. "Until It's Gone" was slightly not metal and wasn't really bringing an example of heavy music but instead Alternative (I'm not saying that's a bad thing). But I do think this is the one of best songs I heard and is now my second favourite Linkin Park song (number one being Castle of Glass). Fans of Hybrid Theory and Meteora should be excited about this new album.
Steve Lycinadale Get your facts straight, Guilty All The Same is nothing like nu-metal. I think guilty all the same and until it's gone are the most radio-friendly songs, therefor imo the most crap.
TraianCovers get your facts straight. LP never plays nu metal anymore. Guilty All The Same is too long to play on the radio, it's never the song for the radio. remember that. GATS is the combination of heavy metal, modern rock and rap. Until It's Gone is totally the hard rock song.
Duy Hoang Ngoc Get your facts straight. They cut out Rakim's part on the radio, just like they cut a lot of 'The Catalyst'. They said themselves it is one of the more radio-friendly songs of the album. And I know that LP never plays nu metal anymore, but they never did. Learn2read.
Duy Hoang Ngoc i never said until it's gone is not a hard rock song, i never said LP plays nu-metal nowadays, your reply doesn't even make sense. all i said is that guilty all the same and until it's gone are more radio friendly then the rest of the album. and i said that guilty all the same is not nu-metal.
I don't care what type of genre music Linkin Park produce as long as they keep producing. I've supported them since day one and will continue to until the end.
+Andre Garcia lmfao... its so hilarious to see how you people actually buy this shit. They sold themselves the first chance they had, it's sad to see good bands die for commercial purposes but it's still funny to see the kind of brainless followers they have lol.
I don't care if Linkin Park returns to their "old style". I just wanted the heavy guitar parts back and I'm SO glad they are! This is the first time I'm excited for a new LP album since Minutes to Midnight, and damn it feels good!
Chester said in an interview that there were so many songs on the album that were intense, that they had to put at least 1 or 2 slow songs on the album so you could take a breather. I assume this is one of them. But I honestly like this song a lot. I don't understand where all the hate is coming from.
+TheAndreagon29 I think he only means one striking similarity, when Mike says "You don't really know what you have 'till it's gone." They sort of have similar themes as well.
Finally some real progression in Linkin Park in a sound that we all wanted more or less. Those last 2 albums they did after Minutes To Midnight were good in their own way, yes, but it simply was not Linkin Park. Honestly, I get they were just writing music that they liked, but the direction they're going in fits much better for the band that they once were. And I get everybody has that age where they want to make crazy music people move to, but they honestly paved the road for the nu-metal type scene. It's good to know they're doing music that would make the 16 year old in them go nuts. I'm happy that this record is coming out finally. It's been a long time coming.
B. Roman So true. Living Things was good, and in fact it made ATS easier to digest for me when I gave it a second chance and wound up buying it, later becoming one of my favorite albums of all time.
If Until it's gone is suppose to be the slowest/softer song on the album then we should be getting one hell of an album if UIG is already guitar driven.
I don't think people know what they mean byt saying "I want old LP back." I have been a fan of them for a long time, in my opinion, I know all their albums and almost all their songs by heart. I don't want the old LP back, they were just angry teens, I do want some more screams and rock and heavy guitar and drums, but I don't want the old LP. I want this new LP, just heavier. I believe they can do it, let's all hope so! ;)
I fell in love with Linkin park because they were angry teens...........Many others are similar, that's all. Avril Lavigne is another example of a angry teen no more, tell me how much better she is now........lyrically I want to die listening to her new albums. more pop than N-sync I'm afraid.
That is true, I get what you say... but, are you still an angry teen? That is the question, that is what Chester and Shinoda probably ask themselves about their fanbase... It's been such a long and amazing trip, they just want to be the playlist of our lives, not just a phase of life. That is what I believe, I have no proofs to say that I am right tho.
Not all, this is just some heads up songs, we all know they like to have some softer musics in all their albums, I believe further songs will be heavier. ;)
This song was not meant to be heavy. This song was created to deliver a message some people listen to pop\electro music and some listen to rock. Now Linkin Park-being a very creative band, did both! They combined music from 2 different genres to create something which everyone can listen to and learn from. Be thankful bands like these exist. Linkin Park is amazing in every way-no doubts!
DexDacozed this is not gonna be used that way :/ cuz it has nothing special. Their latest official songs are much deeper and more creative. It seems that they did not even try :/

Well people tend not to like change. this isn't what LP used to be, not meaning it's worse, just different, and for those who liked the first albuns this is REALLY different. I must say i'm also one of those who still considers the first 2 albuns the best ones, but it's cause i prefer that kind of music. still! they are way better than the last albuns and i still love them! GO LP!
I really find it annoying that every time Linkin Park Puts a video on youtube, people always start commenting "I want the old Linkin Park back", "Hybrid Theory and Meteora all the way", "I want another A thousand Suns", "Linkin Park is death to me ever since Minutes to Midnight", "Old vs New Linkin Park" COME ON PEOPLE GROW UP, JUST ENJOY THE SONG AND SHUT UP. This guys work their asses off to make this album, just enjoy it, if you don't like it than don't listen. It is a lot of work to make a song, and even an entire album, you people should be grateful that Linkin Park never leaves us for too long without an album or solo single, Might it be a Remix or Studio album, but we always have music from them almost every single year. And if you guys are reading my comment, Thank you Chester, Thank you Mike, Thank you Mr. Hahn, Thank you Brad, Thank you Dave and Thank YOU Rob. Thank you Guys for bringing us Another album to enjoy and listen, And thank you for all the years that you guys have gave us the fans.
By far, "Until it's Gone, along with "Rebellion" and "Final Masquerade", are my favorite The Hunting Party songs. By the way, even if "All for Nothing", "Wastelands" and "Guilty All The Same" are not my favorite ones, I love those songs as well.
I love this song, but then again I love all their songs. They never disappoint me. The only people who disappoint me are the people talking crap about my favorite band. If you don't like their sound just don't listen its that simple. Don't bother leaving negative comments, negativity solves nothing so keep it to yourself.
Im with you;) im thinking about the same things... i dont understand why people want still old LP.. i love everything and i like so much like they are doing different things;)
The old Linkin Park will never come back, but that is good. Every song of them has a special meaning and stands for new emotions and impressions in their lifes, so it's absolutely important that they change. I really love the new song and it gives me hope.
Colton Edge - The Viper Studio You're right, the old linkin park not coming back. because it never was, THIS is unwilling or unable linkin park, music is born at a time in a way because it must be so. Hybrid Theory and Meteora were so because the time was that, but Linkin Park will not make other albums as well and does not have to. If they are true soldiers, they have to find a way to love linkin park in all its forms and not try to revive something that never was
The lyrics, though simplistic, have a deep meaning. The beat is powerful, very thousand-sunsy, yet epic. I bet you LP's doing what many artists are doing: releasing their more pop-sounding tunes first, then releasing the most epic stuff ever with the album. I remember people being annoyed when "Burn It Down" was released, yet when the rest of LT came out we heard heavier sounds of "Lost in the Echo", "Lies Greed Misery", "Victimized" and the very beautiful "Castle of Glass". Calm down everyone, I guarantee you there is better stuff to come!!
I feel like its the Rock-y head boppin' cousin to "Lost in the Echo" for some reason. haha even though Mike's not in this much. If I'll be Gone and Lost in the Echo and What Ive done were meshed --- this would be that song...maybe.
Chester Bennington will be terribly missed, he was a large part of my childhood and his music will live forever. He will be forever remembered and forever loved. I wish his family and friends luck. *_R.I.P Chester Bennington 1976 - 2017_*
Mikasa Ackerman a real fan is a person who appreciates all of an artist's work for what it is. they don't necessarily have to like it, and they aren't fans if they criticise something that is a little different then the first thing they heard, so FUCK YOU!!!
Do you guys still remember how hyped you were one year ago with the new album? Every time you listen to a new album for the first time.... It's something really special
It was mentioned by people who got to listen to six tracks of the album that Mike does have rapping in a few of the songs and even sings for one of them so don't worry he ain't being excluded :)
It's good to know Mike is still raping. Linkin Park's style has changed a lot over the years but in my opinion the band would hit rock bottom if Mike were to be excluded.
he will be rapping on The Hunting Party, one of the songs will be like something that could be on a Fort Minor album. edit: also, mike does much more than just rapping in the band, they can't exclude him. he does pretty much everything.
" I've heard said a thousand time, but now I know" everyone saying the lyrics are bland and cliche, well they admit it's cliche, but the meaning is still true, and the way this song is put together gives it emotion and the meaning it deserves. I wouldn't consider it "soft" but the rest of the album is supposed to be heavy so this is just the softer one out of them, I thinks it's great, linkin park is so versatile with their collection of softer songs, hardcore, electronic and rap, they just have a song for ever feeling and emotion
Why is the 'heaviness' of the song so important to you?You don't need 'heavy' stuff to make a song sound powerful,it would be stupid to just bash in some random guitars with too much overdrive and aggressive drums and screaming.Feel the soul of the song,in my opinion this is absolutely stunning,I am amazed that they still manage to pull off this awesome sound.I was having a horrible gloomy day today and since I heard this song I awaited for so long,it made my day and drew a smile upon my face.
I personally like this song. It proves that even after the epic song "Guilty All The Same", Linkin Park is still very down to Earth. Really looking forward to the new record.
They could have done so much more with this song. The very ending and the post chorus had a nice melody that carried the song, rather than making it seem like a stagnant beat with a slow ballad's vocals. I'm still a gigantic fan, and I'm stoked to see you guys this summer, but you were so close!
Seth Pogue lol that makes no fucking sense. The true lp fans cant wait for the new album. You old ass fans back from 05 need to stop crying and move on to another band. I love all lp albums
what? This sentence... I don't even understand... Lorde released a rock song? The only song I know of hers is Royals, and it's more pop surely? That's crazyness.
I have MTV Rocks on my TV. At least two thirds of the time, it's not even rock. I can appreciate some of the indie/folk/hipster stuff, but most of it is really just underproduced pop. :/
QUIT WHINNING ABOUT HOW THEY DONT SOUND LIKE THEY DID 15 YEARS AGO!!! They're not 20 anymore and this song is purely awesome, so quit complaining about how they've changed because NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR YOU!!!
Jason Bouchard the technique of screaming is using your diaphram and not your throat, unless he screamed wrong the entire time his voice should be fine
ShadowKiller571 While that is true. Screaming always has an affect on the voice and the cords. You wont ever sound the same and over time you will start to change and lose your voice. Not to mention he went from screaming back to cleans and that really does put a major strain on your cords because their is a point where the scream must come from your throat for a second and he was doing it for how long? 15 Years? It does start to take time. But hey, this is good. I like it.
Chester. He's gone. I didn't even know he existed until a year after he was gone. Listening to him singing this brought tears to my eyes, and I'm not one to cry to songs. Rest in peace, Chester.
Everyone needs to RELAX and keep in mind that 'Until It's Gone' is the only ballad on the album, plus it was developed in order to play on radio stations. GATS is what the rest of the album will be more like, this song was necessary so they could have at least SOMETHING new on the radio, considering the rest of the album is very non radio friendly
It's really a sad thing when you realize that some Linkin Park fans hate the band even more than people who don't even like the band. You people, all you do is bitch and bitch about their music. Guess what? They're not going back to their old style. EVER. After several years haven't you idiots gotten it through your thick skulls yet? They make the music that they want. If you want the "Old Linkin Park" then go fucking listen to their old stuff and stop criticizing the hard work put into these songs. What really irritates me is that some of you idiots think "OH THIS SONG SUCKS AND ALL LP FANS NEED TO AGREE OR YOU'RE NOT A TRUE FAN" and others think "IF YOU DON'T WORSHIP ALL OF LP'S MUSIC YOU'RE NOT A TRUE FAN" You don't need to like all of their music to be a true fan. On the other hand, if you have criticism, at least have the maturity level to do it in a respectful manner. A true fan of any band voices their opinion in such a respectful manner.
Hey Linkin Park I know you aren´t reading this but i want to thank you for creating these amazing songs that have helped me to get over my suicidal and automutilation story. Thanks for your hard work and amazing lyrics you saved my life.
I wish the people who all repeatedly come back to say "Uhh well its not as a good as the old Linkin Park" would just fall off the planet already. Some of us actually SUPPORT our favorite bands and LIKE their new stuff!
People can comment whatever they want. If more than a handful of people feel this way, maybe they have a valid point. But even if they don't, they don't need to fall off the planet; they have an opinion. And frankly, would you say that Living Things was half as good as say Meteora?
I would say that it was. Living things was amazing but that's just my opinion. I just find it annoying when people live in the past and constantly compare their music to their very first album. And anyone who knows LP knows that they experiment and try out new sounds.
Linkin Park has openly stated that they are not a Nu Metal band, they are Experimental. Which means that they don't want any of their albums to sound the same. Chester Bennington has even said that he didnt even like the kind of music they made with Meteora and Hybrid. So the question is, do i want them to make music they hate so they can hate what they do and quit? Or do I want to just enjoy their new stuff anyways because it is good on its own merit? I will take number two, thank you. Lastly, if you want to listen to Hybrid and Meteora so badly, then go listen to THOSE albums and quit annoying the rest of us with your terrible whining. Those albums arent going anywhere so just go enjoy them and let the REAL fans enjoy what the band enjoys making.
What are you people talking about? LP's recent songs were awesome one of my favourite LP songs if you ask me, can't wait for the album. People have complained that they want something heavier and raw, not that pop shit, and there you have it, and now you all want that pop-ish stuff back...
BoilingJD Yes, LP used to be nu-metal, they are combining nu-metal with alt rock and prog-ish rock on these new songs, okay the intro is probably a bit pop-ish but I don't mind it, the rest of the song is pure rock with synths. Go listening to popish songs and hear the difference.
I think most people want to hear more of the guitars, which is what Guilty All The Same was. However, knowing Linkin Park, one could expect this not to be the case for the entirety of the album. This sounds more like Living Things than Guilty All The Same, which is fine by me, but I think the kind of people that still yell out 'Hybrid Theory' at their concerts would prefer more raw guitars in their songs.
***** Sometimes that's really all you need to hear though. Along with "Leave Out All The Rest" this will be a song that cheers me up when I feel depressed. I personally love this one.
MarioznTuube Castle of Glass, Leave Out All the Rest, No Roads Left, Valentine's Day, My December, Shadow of the Day, Easier to Run... I could name many more, there's just so many songs that affect me like that :D ***** You should check out Announcement Service Public. Just... no comment. XD
Why are people complaining so much? The guitars are hard again and it's not like people can complain that it's too soft because even songs like "Numb" had soft parts but then had the heavy chorus; this song is no different in that way. You see, if people are gonna hate, they should actually give reason and explain what they don't like about it -_-
chester screams a lot on "Keys To The Kingdom" Shinoda raps like Fort Minor in "Wastelands" here is a line from it "This is war with no weapons, marchin' with no steppin', murder with no killin', ill in every direction" you can read the review of 6 songs from THP on Linkin Park association
Haters flocking as always. This is a powerful song and reminds me of Crawling somehow. I can feel it's gonna be a great record, but hey, It's Linkin Park, every single record has been unique in it's own way, that's why they're the greatest band ever.
What's with all the hate? This isn't that bad of a song...if you guys like the old Linkin Park so much, why not go listen to their old songs instead of coming here and complaining that they aren't as good as they were?
i think you mean street soldier. the first big fans of lp, the people who helped them and promoted them...hybrid theory and the singles from hybrid theory covers (picturing street soldiers) are dedications to these people
I like the song over all, I wish the hook was a little bit more catchy for the single to really light up the charts, but its whatever, love you guys. dont stop :)
I've listened to this song while going to the Intensive Care Hospital to visit my mother in terminal phase... Linkin Park helped me passing through tough moments of my life and still helping me to fight against myself. We miss you, Chester. I wish we could helped you just like you helped us.
I feel like some things need to all be said in one comment about LP: 1. There is no "OLD" and "NEW" LP. It is perfectly fine that you PERSONALLY like come of their songs more than others or just plain dislike others, but keep in mind that in reality Likin Park have just tweaked their style a bit. 2. There is no such thing as a "TRUE LP FAN". You don't have to like every single one of their songs to be a so called "TRUE LP FAN". 3. Hybrid Theory and Meteora are by no means miles ahead or above their other albums. I wold rank them on pair with Living Things and Minutes to Midnight (just my opinion though) 4. "This new LP shit is so dumb and electronic it should be heavier like "OLD LP" and needs more guitar" Stop posting these dumb comments. The band won't change their style just because of one pissed nostalgic fanboy. If you like their older "heavier" songs then go listen tho them instead of bitching about it on great songs like A Light That Never Comes. TL;DR: Stop being an asshole and just enjoy the music :P
Right on. It's all about preference, and, like anything else, that preference should not be forced on anyone. You dig the old stuff more? Good on you, don't tell me I'm stupid for enjoying the new stuff. You like the new stuff too? Alright, let's listen together and have fun.
Definitely sounding better than Living Things and A Thousand Suns (If you ask me...) I really need to hear the rest of the album but so far I wanna say they definitely took a lot from their roots and mixed it with a new sound as well. I honestly really like it, its refreshing after the last two albums if you were to ask me.
UNTIL IT’S GONE from our new album THE HUNTING PARTY out 6.17.14
very good one mates ;)
Sound is very loud!
Amazing :)
Fuck you Gema!!! -,- FUCK YOU GERMANY!!!
this song is awsomee good work lp ! :)
"You don't know what you've got until it's gone..."
Truer words have never been spoken. Rest in Peace, Chester Bennington. In The End, it really did matter.
Genius
LATIN
God I miss him so much. I still cry every now and then.
No he did not matter. He killed himself and now his kids have no Father. And his music was depressing and shitty. Good riddance to the early 2000’s☺️

agree.. if Chest did not pass, I would not even know tons their awesome songs after Meteora album even exist....
Can you please explain the meaning of this song?

No I started to like their songs 2 months after he passed away and I didn't even know
@@migsrebsaber Well explained
This song is now dedicated to all the people who did not appreciate the recent musical change of Chester, those who did not appreciate "One More Light" ...
Rest in píece wherever you are, Chester.

Most of my favorite bands constantly are evolving with every album they release, and all of their fans like that about them. Why is it that Linkin Park fans want the band to NEVER evolve?
wish i knew man...i hate the hate they get from their fans for doing something new
i guess people like the old to stay old, i c were there coming from. can be better or worse (?) i like it though
I mean, I wish they'd release more consistent albums, but i'm fine with them evolving.
something only needs to evolve when it has to adapt to survive..linkin park could live on forever with there rock & rap style, and that's what they shall doo
EpsilonX there are both people that like and dislike these new songs. I see this happening to Coldplay too :/
"You don't know what you've got until it's gone." Ain't that the fucking truth...
Am I the only one who thinks that Linkin Park's music has improved over time? For every In The End and Figure.09 in their early work, there was also a ton of generic whiny stuff. A Thousand Suns, on the other hand, is one of the most original and exciting albums I've ever heard.
Definitely. They've kept evolving, and have ascended to a different level altogether.
I'm glad I'm not alone on the opinion of ATS. I really liked their early work, though.
I disagree. I think its gotten worse.
r.i.p. chester, you were right, we didn't know what we had, until now, that you're gone.
That is the reason I love Linkin Park. They are not the same crap all over again. They change often, so their music stays fresh.
Matthew French When did they say that? I wanna find out now lol.
David Murphy It's on When They Come For Me
David Murphy It's in one of their songs from A Thousand Suns
"''Cause once you got a theory of how the thing works, everybody wants the next thing to be just like the first"
eeeh
That was better than I expected! Linkin Park did say "The Hunting Party" will be a heavy album. "Guilty All the Same" was a very heavy single and shows a good example of nu Metal music. "Until It's Gone" was slightly not metal and wasn't really bringing an example of heavy music but instead Alternative (I'm not saying that's a bad thing). But I do think this is the one of best songs I heard and is now my second favourite Linkin Park song (number one being Castle of Glass). Fans of Hybrid Theory and Meteora should be excited about this new album.
Glad to read comments like yours! I agree! :)
One of the only artists who kept their songs consistent and awesome through their career. LOVE IT!
Consistent? HA! Have you actually listened to the old LP... that was great music, now this? this is just fucking commercial.
+DS Nightcore your face is commercial
+Andre Garcia lmfao... its so hilarious to see how you people actually buy this shit. They sold themselves the first chance they had, it's sad to see good bands die for commercial purposes but it's still funny to see the kind of brainless followers they have lol.
+Daniel Černý LMAO 😂😂😂
They might have sold out but you can't deny that A Thousand Suns was a fucking masterpiece
I don't care if Linkin Park returns to their "old style". I just wanted the heavy guitar parts back and I'm SO glad they are! This is the first time I'm excited for a new LP album since Minutes to Midnight, and damn it feels good!
I liked ATS (try Wretches & Kings), but this is damn good.
Chester said in an interview that there were so many songs on the album that were intense, that they had to put at least 1 or 2 slow songs on the album so you could take a breather. I assume this is one of them. But I honestly like this song a lot. I don't understand where all the hate is coming from.
the LYRICS are just WOW!!
+TheAndreagon29 I think he only means one striking similarity, when Mike says "You don't really know what you have 'till it's gone."
They sort of have similar themes as well.
Thank you Chester. You're the best rock metal vocalist we could ever have. No one will ever replace you
Finally some real progression in Linkin Park in a sound that we all wanted more or less. It's been a long time coming.
the guitarists are in top of action and chester at his best. loved the song
B. Roman
So true. Living Things was good, and in fact it made ATS easier to digest for me when I gave it a second chance and wound up buying it, later becoming one of my favorite albums of all time.
This new album should be incredible.
Until It's gone is supposedly the slowest song on that album.
But 10times harder than the full LT album lol ^^
If Until it's gone is suppose to be the slowest/softer song on the album then we should be getting one hell of an album if UIG is already guitar driven.
111maxinel11 It is? Now I'm even more anxious for it to come!
I really didn't know what i got untill u were gone
R.I.P Chester
Not all, this is just some heads up songs, we all know they like to have some softer musics in all their albums, I believe further songs will be heavier. ;)
Yep, I agree with you, they are in the right direction!
That's a really awesome song, sounds like a mix between "what i've done" & "i'll be gone". It's GREAT!
I love how the title rhymes ends with Done and Gone then Gone.
PORTUGUESE LYRICS//
[Intro]
[Verso 1]
A fire needs a space to burn
Um fôlego pra acender um brilho
A breath to build a glow
I've heard it said a thousand times
Mas agora eu sei
But now I know
[Refrão]
Que você não sabe o que tem
That you don't know what you've got
Oh você não sabe o que tem
Oh you don't know what you've got

[Verso 2]
Eu pensei que eu te manteria sã e salva
I thought I kept you safe and sound
Eu pensei que eu te faria forte
I thought I made you strong
Mas algo me fez perceber
But something made me realize
Que eu estava errado
That I was wrong
'Cause finding what you got sometimes
Significa encontrar isso só
Means finding it alone
E eu posso finalmente ver sua luz
And I can finally see your light
Quando eu vou
When I let go
[Refrão]
Pois você não sabe o que tem
'Cause you don't know what you've got
'Té isso se for!
'Til it's gone!
Até isso se for!
Until it's gone!
'Té isso se for!
'Til it's gone!
[Ponte]
Até isso se for
Until it's gone
Até isso se for
Until it's gone
Até isso se for
Until it's gone
Até isso se for!
Until it's gone!
'Té isso se for!
'Til it's gone!
[Refrão]
Pois você não sabe o que tem
'Cause you don't know what you've got
Oh você não sabe o que tem
Oh you don't know what you've got
Não você não sabe o que tem
No you don't know what you've got
Essa é sua batalha a ser enfrentada
It's your battle to be fought
Não você não sabe o que tem
No you don't know what you've got
'Té isso se for!
'Til it's gone!
'Té isso se for!
'Til it's gone!

Now it's gone..😢
it's so awesome seing your favorite band getting better and changing
couldn't agree more!
THANK YOU FOR HAVING SOME FREAKIN SENSE!!!
GO LP!
One thing all the songs have in common they all give me goosebumps and
Absolutely, if they stayed with the same sound people would have hated on them for being monotonous and boring.
Regardless what all the people are saying, to me this is in the old style... I love it good job linking park!
More A Thousand Suns but significantly heavier, but great nonetheless. I love it too.
yes...This totally sounds like one step closer...or papercut, or crawling , or points of authority or any other song on the first album......
yeah exatcly old LP this aint 2002 anymore
?
@@spydermannschneidermann5176 lmao you never got what linkin park is all about.
This song is perfect
RIP chester your songs will always be remembered 😭😭
Oh My Gosh! This song is AWESOME......I 've been listening to it all the time since yesterday. Chester you're a LEGEND!
This is definitely my favorite song off the new album so far
"The old Linkin Park will never come back" Who are you to say that? :D They might, they might not. It's completely up to them.
If they are true soldiers, they have to find a way to love linkin park in all its forms and not try to revive something that never was
B. Roman Get over it? I never said that they should get back to the old stuff. Learn to read :) P.S: They never said that they hate Nu-metal.
Linkin park with 23 year olds vs linkin park with 37 year olds
This song is just awesome! I can't wait for The Hunting Party!
Real fans appreciate change!
fuck off real fans appreciate the first few albums for the masterpieces they were.
That escalated quickly.
Well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Mikasa Ackerman a real fan is a person who appreciates all of an artist's work for what it is. they don't necessarily have to like it, and they aren't fans if they criticise something that is a little different then the first thing they heard, so FUCK YOU!!!
FUCKK YEAH!
Do you guys still remember how hyped you were one year ago with the new album? Every time you listen to a new album for the first time.... It's something really special
This and Guilty All The Sane are great songs but I miss Mike's rapping. Hopefully they'll have him on other tracks in the Hunting Party album.
they do was mentioned in a small preview of a few tracks :D
It was mentioned by people who got to listen to six tracks of the album that Mike does have rapping in a few of the songs and even sings for one of them so don't worry he ain't being excluded :)
It's good to know Mike is still raping. Linkin Park's style has changed a lot over the years but in my opinion the band would hit rock bottom if Mike were to be excluded.
he will be rapping on The Hunting Party, one of the songs will be like something that could be on a Fort Minor album. edit: also, mike does much more than just rapping in the band, they can't exclude him. he does pretty much everything.
Oh God. Lmao I meant rapping. Auto correct fail.
"No you don't know what you've got until it's gone." :'( RIP Chester
Why is the 'heaviness' of the song so important to you?You don't need 'heavy' stuff to make a song sound powerful,it would be stupid to just bash in some random guitars with too much overdrive and aggressive drums and screaming.Feel the soul of the song,in my opinion this is absolutely stunning,I am amazed that they still manage to pull off this awesome sound.I was having a horrible gloomy day today and since I heard this song I awaited for so long,it made my day and drew a smile upon my face.
Oh god, you're so right. This song is just amazing.
This song has taken on a new meaning...
Rest in peace, Chester Bennington.
LINKIN PARK THE BEST!
Ok how the hell are you alive like you commented on a few linkin park musics like 5 - 7 years ago so how the hell are you alive like wrf
@@hughannmatthewcaballero6298 I'm 26 so that's how I'm alive.
@@pharmit24 so are u still a soldier ? 😭
Okay. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM.
Me too!
I don't think that anyone one of us true linkin Park fans can wait for the new album.
Seth Pogue lol that makes no fucking sense. The true lp fans cant wait for the new album. You old ass fans back from 05 need to stop crying and move on to another band. I love all lp albums
Felipe Bernardes Finally some sense.
Can't we just appreciate how eargasmic this song is and stop bitching? :)
Linkin Park the masters of lyrical power
how THE HELL did this song lose to Lorde for best rock.. WTF!
Indeed
how the hell do anybody even care about this?
Millennials
I'm a HUGE fan of the old Linkin Park, but I love this song and Gulity all the same. This will be their best album since Meteora.
Living Things was a great album!
mattao1987 in my opinion that the greatest albums are Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, Living Things and i hope this one will also be an awesome album!
Felipe Díaz Bo You must be a new fan
Nope, i've been a fan since 2005
Felipe Díaz Bo In my opinion, nothing will overcome "hybrid theory".
This is probably the softer song on the record. But even as a soft song, it's still obvious that Linkin Park is completely bringing the rock back!
Why so much hate? You like the song or you don't. It's that simple. Don't have to hate on the band so much. I love Linkin Park and always will :D
thank you!
This song got me shivers during your live performance! Thanks to Linkin Park for the awesome concert in Wrocław in Poland!
LP does it again! Just reserved my ticket for the concert in Colorado. It'll be my first LP concert. Can't wait.
great.. enjoy
Amazing song. Congrats!!!
"You don't know what you've got

very clever phrase! replay, replay and replay.
LINKIN PARK!
Rest in peace my dear Chester.
this song blew my headphones off my ears.
This song blew my ears off my head.
More importantly: Chester is getting older and his screaming did take its tolls on his vocal cords, so he can't scream as well as in the past.
I like it.
LINKIN PARK FTW!! #1
Chester.
Where do you get your info? I haven't read any of what you said.
Joshua Cole Just read the news about them. Mike said something about it. ;)
Nice song, great guitar. I only wish there were more words, more lyrics into this. But I love it! And waiting for the album eagerly!!!
This! Cant agree more.
Amen
This is the best comment i've ever seen in this month
Then you can,t call them fans.
You sir, are so fucking right about this. fucking good said!
Hey Linkin Park I know you aren´t reading this but i want to thank you for creating these amazing songs that have helped me to get over my suicidal and automutilation story. Thanks for your hard work and amazing lyrics you saved my life.
I so love this. Only thing missing is a good M Shinoda rap.
R.I.P. Chester
Best song ever
Until It's Gone is to The Hunting Party as Pushing Me Away was to Hybrid Theory, with that in mind- RELAX people
I wish the people who all repeatedly come back to say "Uhh well its not as a good as the old Linkin Park" would just fall off the planet already. Some of us actually SUPPORT our favorite bands and LIKE their new stuff!
Exactly! It's annoying. I like their new stuff and old stuff.
Yep, Like what you want to like but stop constantly complaining about the sound of the music.
What are you people talking about? LP's recent songs were awesome one of my favourite LP songs if you ask me, can't wait for the album. People have complained that they want something heavier and raw, not that pop shit, and there you have it, and now you all want that pop-ish stuff back...
this sounds very much like pop shit to me.
BoilingJD You just said that alternative rock is pop.
MrMusicfan007 Theoretically LP used to be nu-metal. Secondly, this still sounds very popsy
Am I the only one who prefers the "Official Lyric Video" over the "Official Music Video"?
I prefer too
Me too
AMV 八 Nope, you're not alone as you can see (;.
AMV 八 you are not alone XD
AMV 八 I like both equally.
Well... in all honesty, I like the MV a bit more because this lyric video has slightly awkward pacing or w/e.
Vladislav Kluska Chtělo by to návrat ke kořenům aneb něco ve stylu Hybrid Theory.. současná tvorba už není to, co to bývalo :(

Linkin Park your songs inspire meaning..
This is so uninspiring, just the same phrase over and over again, and not like it's an unknown idea
Sounds great, but is virtually meaningless
***** Sometimes that's really all you need to hear though. Along with "Leave Out All The Rest" this will be a song that cheers me up when I feel depressed. I personally love this one.
I definitely enjoyed the song, still more meaningful than Foreward
MarioznTuube Castle of Glass, Leave Out All the Rest, No Roads Left, Valentine's Day, My December, Shadow of the Day, Easier to Run... I could name many more, there's just so many songs that affect me like that :D
***** You should check out Announcement Service Public. Just... no comment. XD
This was supposed to be the "Numb" of this record. I still love the song to this day.
Why are people complaining so much? The guitars are hard again and it's not like people can complain that it's too soft because even songs like "Numb" had soft parts but then had the heavy chorus; this song is no different in that way. You see, if people are gonna hate, they should actually give reason and explain what they don't like about it -_-
not saying i dont like the song, but to calling the guitars hard is real stretch
corkey3210 Well, it's still big step up for the guitars compared to their previous albums
chester screams a lot on "Keys To The Kingdom" Shinoda raps like Fort Minor in "Wastelands" here is a line from it "This is war with no weapons, marchin' with no steppin', murder with no killin', ill in every direction" you can read the review of 6 songs from THP on Linkin Park association
Best Present I could ever get for my birthday!!
Thank you SO much :D ♥
Can't waaaaait for the whole album *sigh* !!
If you don't like it, don't listen. Linkin Park isn't the only band in the world.
A true soldier will always love Linkin Park
yeah
i think you mean street soldier. the first big fans of lp, the people who helped them and promoted them...hybrid theory and the singles from hybrid theory covers (picturing street soldiers) are dedications to these people
i haven't listened to linking park in a long time, but man this song is great.
Listen to guilty all the same
with Rakim? that was a sick track
I like the song over all, I wish the hook was a little bit more catchy for the single to really light up the charts, but its whatever, love you guys. dont stop :)
Epic new tune, LP knows where it's at!
I've listened to this song while going to the Intensive Care Hospital to visit my mother in terminal phase...
Linkin Park helped me passing through tough moments of my life and still helping me to fight against myself. We miss you, Chester. I wish we could helped you just like you helped us.
I feel like some things need to all be said in one comment about LP:
I wold rank them on pair with Living Things and Minutes to Midnight (just my opinion though)
Lyrics is simple but has deep meaning. This is one of the best song....wait all of their songs are best. xD
Love this you can hear a little bit of Bmth cannot wait to hear the album
Is it sarcasm ?
lol
Sykes said their new music is influenced by LP and its also his favourite band... I think thats why:)
Can You Feel My Heart especially.
Michael King Please tell me you're kidding o.O It sounds nothing like it...
What an incredible song, love it and the band too! \m/
