Simple lyrics, Big message... With the instruments and the whole feeling through the song it really gets me the feels. great execution, Love the guitars too, They are not 25 anymore. They are around 38 years old. People change, And if they kept doing the same music over and over again these 15 years, You, the people that grew up with it. Would be sick of it.. Look at avril lavigne getting the hate for almost being 30 and still being that post teenager girl. Nonetheless whatever direction Linkin Park will go there will always be people that say ''not good'' I admire them for having the guts to make the music they want, And they have such a versatile discography, And it did not even break them! That was better than I expected! Linkin Park did say "The Hunting Party" will be a heavy album. "Guilty All the Same" was a very heavy single and shows a good example of nu Metal music. "Until It's Gone" was slightly not metal and wasn't really bringing an example of heavy music but instead Alternative (I'm not saying that's a bad thing). But I do think this is the one of best songs I heard and is now my second favourite Linkin Park song (number one being Castle of Glass). Fans of Hybrid Theory and Meteora should be excited about this new album.

Duy Hoang Ngoc Get your facts straight. They cut out Rakim's part on the radio, just like they cut a lot of 'The Catalyst'. They said themselves it is one of the more radio-friendly songs of the album. And I know that LP never plays nu metal anymore, but they never did. Learn2read.

Am I the only one who thinks that Linkin Park's music has improved over time? For every In The End and Figure.09 in their early work, there was also a ton of generic whiny stuff. A Thousand Suns, on the other hand, is one of the most original and exciting albums I've ever heard.

Well people tend not to like change. this isn't what LP used to be, not meaning it's worse, just different, and for those who liked the first albuns this is REALLY different. I must say i'm also one of those who still considers the first 2 albuns the best ones, but it's cause i prefer that kind of music. still! they are way better than the last albuns and i still love them! Linkin Park helped me passing through tough moments of my life and still helping me to fight against myself. We miss you, Chester. I wish we could helped you just like you helped us.
I wish the people who all repeatedly come back to say "Uhh well its not as a good as the old Linkin Park" would just fall off the planet already. Some of us actually SUPPORT our favorite bands and LIKE their new stuff!

People can comment whatever they want. If more than a handful of people feel this way, maybe they have a valid point. But even if they don't, they don't need to fall off the planet; they have an opinion. And frankly, would you say that Living Things was half as good as say Meteora?
I would say that it was. Living things was amazing but that's just my opinion. I just find it annoying when people live in the past and constantly compare their music to their very first album. And anyone who knows LP knows that they experiment and try out new sounds.
Linkin Park has openly stated that they are not a Nu Metal band, they are Experimental. Which means that they don't want any of their albums to sound the same. Chester Bennington has even said that he didnt even like the kind of music they made with Meteora and Hybrid.
So the question is, do i want them to make music they hate so they can hate what they do and quit? Or do I want to just enjoy their new stuff anyways because it is good on its own merit? I will take number two, thank you.
Lastly, if you want to listen to Hybrid and Meteora so badly, then go listen to THOSE albums and quit annoying the rest of us with your terrible whining. Those albums arent going anywhere so just go enjoy them and let the REAL fans enjoy what the band enjoys making.

I really find it annoying that every time Linkin Park Puts a video on youtube, people always start commenting "I want the old Linkin Park back", "Hybrid Theory and Meteora all the way", "I want another A thousand Suns", "Linkin Park is death to me ever since Minutes to Midnight", "Old vs New Linkin Park" COME ON PEOPLE GROW UP, JUST ENJOY THE SONG AND SHUT UP.
This guys work their asses off to make this album, just enjoy it, if you don't like it than don't listen.
It is a lot of work to make a song, and even an entire album, you people should be grateful that Linkin Park never leaves us for too long without an album or solo single, Might it be a Remix or Studio album, but we always have music from them almost every single year.

More importantly: Chester is getting older and his screaming did take its tolls on his vocal cords, so he can't scream as well as in the past.
Jason Bouchard the technique of screaming is using your diaphram and not your throat, unless he screamed wrong the entire time his voice should be fine
ShadowKiller571 While that is true. Screaming always has an affect on the voice and the cords. You wont ever sound the same and over time you will start to change and lose your voice. Not to mention he went from screaming back to cleans and that really does put a major strain on your cords because their is a point where the scream must come from your throat for a second and he was doing it for how long? 15 Years? It does start to take time. But hey, this is good. I like it.
Until It's Gone is to The Hunting Party as Pushing Me Away was to Hybrid Theory, with that in mind- RELAX people

I personally like this song. It proves that even after the epic song "Guilty All The Same", Linkin Park is still very down to Earth. Really looking forward to the new record.
I love this song, but then again I love all their songs. They never disappoint me. The only people who disappoint me are the people talking crap about my favorite band. If you don't like their sound just don't listen its that simple. Don't bother leaving negative comments, negativity solves nothing so keep it to yourself.

Why is the 'heaviness' of the song so important to you?You don't need 'heavy' stuff to make a song sound powerful,it would be stupid to just bash in some random guitars with too much overdrive and aggressive drums and screaming.Feel the soul of the song,in my opinion this is absolutely stunning,I am amazed that they still manage to pull off this awesome sound.I was having a horrible gloomy day today and since I heard this song I awaited for so long,it made my day and drew a smile upon my face.

The lyrics, though simplistic, have a deep meaning. The beat is powerful, very thousand-sunsy, yet epic. I bet you LP's doing what many artists are doing: releasing their more pop-sounding tunes first, then releasing the most epic stuff ever with the album. I remember people being annoyed when "Burn It Down" was released, yet when the rest of LT came out we heard heavier sounds of "Lost in the Echo", "Lies Greed Misery", "Victimized" and the very beautiful "Castle of Glass". Calm down everyone, I guarantee you there is better stuff to come!!
I feel like its the Rock-y head boppin' cousin to "Lost in the Echo" for some reason. haha even though Mike's not in this much. If I'll be Gone and Lost in the Echo and What Ive done were meshed --- this would be that song...maybe.
What are you people talking about? LP's recent songs were awesome one of my favourite LP songs if you ask me, can't wait for the album. People have complained that they want something heavier and raw, not that pop shit, and there you have it, and now you all want that pop-ish stuff back...

BoilingJD Yes, LP used to be nu-metal, they are combining nu-metal with alt rock and prog-ish rock on these new songs, okay the intro is probably a bit pop-ish but I don't mind it, the rest of the song is pure rock with synths. Go listening to popish songs and hear the difference.
I think most people want to hear more of the guitars, which is what Guilty All The Same was. However, knowing Linkin Park, one could expect this not to be the case for the entirety of the album. This sounds more like Living Things than Guilty All The Same, which is fine by me, but I think the kind of people that still yell out 'Hybrid Theory' at their concerts would prefer more raw guitars in their songs.
This has to be one of the best albums by Linkin Park.

so Three Days Grace's song I Hate Everything About You is incredibly repetitive and it's still awesome, it's my opinion that this song is good, but a repetitive song doesn't always have to be bad. i mean look at some rap songs, they are more repetitive than this and a lot of people still listen to them(not me personally but i hope you get my point)
TDG song sounds better and if something repeats it must be great song. This chorus simply doesn't work for me. Sorry
