This was the first band I was introduced to at 7 years old. Now 19 years old, Linkin Park played a bigger role in my life than I plan to admit, reading this almost made me want to cry

I didn't get the chance to go watch the movie, so I read the book instead. I think the movie would be better simply for visuals. I liked it, somewhat, Usually I can't stand one or the other if there is a book with a movie adaption :D

I somehow feel that Chester had been giving us signs and crying for help from the very beginning through his music, but his messages were hidden so well that probably most of us failed to see the meaning behind... I don't know... it just feels so weird that even after more than half a year, I still cannot get used to the fact that Chester is not among us anymore... I just cannot cope with it, cannot accept it... it's a loss that is so hard to bear, that we'll probably never be able to recover from it...

Chester B knew he couldn't fight forever. He accepted that he couldn't. He took each beating from each attack he had ever had. Some people are able to withstand life long torment, others like Chester fall victim to it and he knew it. Than life caught up to him, he had a family, a loving wife, kids who looked up to him something I would believe he'd always wanted. He left this world with bad thoughts but also the memories of his friends, family, wife, and kids.
What he did was unforgivable, but what can you do when you're that far gone like Chester?
But view his life during all the times he laughed, all the times he smiled without those demons. Those are the times Chester and Mike would want all his fans to remember.
I miss you Chester. I'm stumbling down the same road. I used to think that suicide was for cowards, but now I see it's the last resort when nothing else works.

In fact, i used to think that rock or alternative rock is just screaming. I thought it wasn't artistic. Then one day i heard this song, it was frightening how honest the lyrics seemed that i started crying.
After that, i went on searching and listening to all LP songs(focusing on the lyrics).
Now i am a big fan of not just Chester Bennington or LP, i am a fan of alternative rock.
My conclusion was, songs Don't have to be sugar-coated with nice words talking about trivial things. I now know that Chester Bennington screamed because no body was there to listen, so ha had to scream. And he said the deepest thoughts that i think.

This song is SO. INCREDIBLY. GOOD. I'm sad I never got into this band before Chester's passing. I listened to a few songs at the end of middle school and through high school, but never followed through. Chester's voice is truly incredible. It's a shame how this song can be dedicated to him now. Whoever out there might be reading this, hang in there. Things do get better, I promise. It's never too late to start something new.
