Hurricane Beryl brings rain, strong winds to Atlantic basin

- Hurricane Beryl regained its Category 4 status as it made landfall on Carriacou Island on Monday.
The storm brought flash flooding, dangerous surf and powerful winds to portions of the Windward Islands. Grenada recorded wind gusts over 100 mph as the storm moved through.
Parts of The Dominican Republican, Haiti, and Jamaica could see impacts from Beryl by midweek.

Does not look at bad...just a tropical storm. If it was a hurricane you would not be able to see outside. It is a dud. When it gets in the Gulf is when it is time to worry with the extreme warm waters........

Hell so in other words just another severe thunderstorm but ppl get stupid over a storm
Are you serious? The eye of the stop went directly into Carriacou,the second largest island that makes up the tri iskand state of Grenada,causing heavy damage to most of the homes.95 % of the island is without power and very little communication. That was not a stupid storm,it was a dangerous category 4 storm that made landfall! The government has yet to assess the full damage!Go google Grenada and Carriacou and see the devastation that was left behind, especially in Carriacou!
Watching this from Cairns Australia.Looks just like Cyclone Jasper which hit here last December and caused serious damage and flooding.Not fun.
