      Yes, yes they did. There are stories, true or not, dating to The time of construction that many are entombed within the structure itself.

      Actually I watched a Video where they said if they actually buried people in in the structure it would have compromised the dams integrity. So that is actually false. Though if they did....This dam is one hell of a monument to their sacrifice. ^_^

    It flooded? Maybe that was God's way of telling people not to live there. And the farmers weren't getting enough water? The farmers in Mexico barely get any now that the Colorado River barely flows a trickle on the Mexican side.

    I would like to know when this was made, not just published. The fact remains that every time man interferes with nature, nature wins in the long run. Lake Mead has been drying up for at least 30 years now. The water level is at a critically low level, water will soon be below the level of the lowest part of the intake towers lowest water intake points soon. Whole sections of Lake Mead have disappeared revealing towns and villages long buried by it's waters . Marinas have been rendered useless now being on dry land. The white cliffs registering the water levels grow increasingly taller. Soon they will no longer be able to grow because all the lake will have vanished completely. I have personally wittinessed this for over the last thirty years, not by constant observation but by returning year after year to conical the decline. This has had the effect of greatly reducing the effects of the damns failure as stated in the above video.

      Jolene Vilis - hi Jolene and thanks for an interesting comment. Are you saying that the water is draining by seepage or evaporation ? Or are these part of an overall Environmental change, like the contributary rivers have lessened through Climate change ? Or do you think that Climate change is the over-arching reason for the, from what you describe, huge losses of water from the Lake itself? And is there any signs of water Rising downstream of the Lake ?
      Sorry for so many questions, and I'm not a Geologist or Environmentalist - although I do believe that everyone should be, in order to form their Own opinions and not rely on biased information from one Side or the other. I firmly believe that there wouldn't be such madness as Fracking, for example, if people were better educated in Schools.
      I must admit a definite Interest in the case of Fracking, as US. Companies are completing "Exploratory Tests" here in the North of Ireland. Sorry - sidetracked as is usual 4 me ! Anyway if you have time, I'd like to read your answers. Thanks. KIERAN☘

      Do you realize how much electricity is produced that is clean

    • @nigtcreature1837
      @nigtcreature1837 6 лет назад +8

      Besides Solar Power, Hydro-thermal, and Nuclear Power. Hydroelectric is one of the cleanest and safest ways to get electricity on Earth. By using water to turn massive turbines to make electricity, you have virtually, limitless energy. Not to mention it's environmentally safe for the atmosphere. But some Dams aren't used for Hydro-electricity. Some are made to control flooding. They are there to make sure that places downstream of the dam don't get flooded. Without Dam's. We wouldn't have Hydro-electric energy. And we wouldn't have a way to make sure towns, villages, and cities never flood again.

      Nuclear Power? One of the safest? :D Hahaha. So funny bro. Yeah it was "one" before it will trigger a nuclear meltdown.

    • @jadodavo
      @jadodavo 6 лет назад +1

      junaid anwar with the rising population, electricity demand is rising every secound. We can no longer use fossil fuels to provide energy due to the amount of green house gases which they produce. Yes I think that rivers should flow naturally, but renewable power like hydroelectric is the way of the future with the expanding population.
