This was my favorite of all of his wins, mainly because it came on my birthday.

Mine too because of how hard he had to fight for it and also because of WHO he beat in order to win 85.

One of his greatest wins hands down. On a Monday afternoon vs his protege.

man, you should've seen me when i saw the final laps, i was on my knee's praying for Jeff to hold off Johnson, my heart was pounding, nerves was shot through the roof, but when i saw him win it, i was happy like a child on christmas day

One of my favorite races and fitting win number 85 came at the track of his debut in 1992, the last race of Richard Petty. Regardless of the chase Jeff still won 4 Driver Cup titles and 9 Championships as a Co Owner of Hendrick for a total of 13.

I was there with my 10 year old son and we were elated. Jeff is the best ambassador of NASCAR and is responsible for more than half of the fans following the sport. And Jimmie Jimmie was incredible too and he made this race historic.

Damn right, I wouldn't be very happy with it if Jeff didn't come out the winner though : P

This proved that Jeff was a better driver than JJ. Jeff got screwed by the Chase, while JJ got a boost from it.

Okay what’s next are you gonna say Jimmie is untalented or Danica Patrick is better driver than him?

Honestly this win is probably my 2nd favorite aside from Martinsville in 2015

On Gordons best day nobody can beat him and he truly showed off his skill as a driver in this win being pressured for the win on old tires and out driving Jimmie

Nick Brown restarts weren’t his thing, he even admitted that.

Nolan Cain he was still pretty decent on restarts to win races. He'd choke on them sometimes. Usually when he had the best car on the track is when he was good on restarts

Jimmie was driving a car as sideways as i've ever seen a man drive to try to pass Jeff. I can't believe jimmie could drive a car that loose and even make it a race. Johnson showed why he's a 7 time champ to me here finishing 2nd and I am a life long Gordon fan.

I have no idea why this channel is attracting Johnson fans; the only legitimate 7-Time Champion regardless if NASCAR refuses to acknowledge it officially is Jeff Gordon. Jeff was just as sideways fighting his car; JJ had a faster car and still couldn't get around him. I wonder who that proves the better driver was? Besides when JJ pushed too hard he LOST ground every time; Jeff ran a car so loose in the Busch series that smoke was pouring out of the wheel wells. When you can find video of JJ winning with a car THAT loose let me know.

LMAO I have been watching Gordon since I picked him to win the 97 daytona 500. i was 9 years old. he passed Elliott coming out of the tri-oval below the yellow line to take the lead after he passed earnhard a handful of laps earlier off of turn to which caused dale to get turned by jarret and be upside down.. gordon won the race. gordon beat rusty in 99 by making the same move out of the tri-oval and making it 3 wide. battled skinner a few laps until earnhard pushed gordon ahead and then he battled dale for the last 10 laps to win his second 500. i have watched gordon win so many races in his career, not all his 93 but most. he is my hero. i guarantee i have put more time into his racing than you. I will be watching him during every lap of him running the rolex 24 hrs this year as well. don't be a fool. you heard that same interview of smoke pouring off his tires in bush from rick when he watched gordon for the first time at atlanta as i have. yep that was atlanta were rick said he saw smoke rolling off jeffs tires. dude, i live gordon. you can't fool me. jeff is great. jimmie is great. get over it. jimmie drove that car as sideways as any of us have seen for the lead. show me a vid that proves diff. you can't. move on.

you are such a douch for thinking i'm a jimmie fan cuz i acknowledge his talent it disgusts me. I love gordon more than you know. he is a fucking legend. but to say my comment is just another jimmie fan is bs. you are in denial if you cant respect jimmie driving that car sideways in dirty air for 13 laps is insane talent. denial. enjoy being a fool.

    • @carlsberg24
      @carlsberg24 7 лет назад +1

Jimmie had a vastly superior car. It was loose when he pushed it, but it's only because Gordon made him work for it. If it wasn't for the 24 running up front, the 48 would have cruised to an easy win. The 48 car is WAY better than anyone else out there. It was incidental that they had a somewhat slower 24 in their way in this race.

the car wasn't too lose just Jimmie drove that hard and bad and remember both drivers tires were extreamly worn I mean isn't it obvious Jeff was better driver than Johnson in his whole carrer. As they say how many modern era records jj has? Idk but I do know Gordon has more and was much more dominant. He is the true 7 time champion!
