Amber Fort and Garden, how beautiful it is! The lake! Amer Stepwell and the Water Palace! India is so rich and diverse! Great video again Willie! How much I enjoy this Indian series!
Thanks Bip! It is a very beautiful city, despite all the rubbish and other bad elements. India has lots to offer. You thinking of a trip there at some point?
Hi Willie, hope you feel better really soon, nothing worse than being ill when you are travelling. My husband got sick too when he was in India, but not as bad as when he ate street food in Bangkok… fascinating place Jaipur love all the greenery and the architecture is fantastic. Thank you for persevering especially as you were not feeling well , to give a great insight into life in India. Take care on your return journey to Delhi… look forward to seeing you bouncing back in your next adventure, Chris 😊
Thanks for the well wishes Chris! There is no question that India and South Asia / South East Asia in general are challenging environments for travellers. Ironically I was always always fine in Thailand food wise, even after eating insects and scorpions. I don't even know for certain if it was the food that got me, it might be the general lack of hygiene and rubbish that cannot be good for you. Appreciate all your support, engagement and encouragement!
Baie dankie vir die saam reis en kyk! Dit is 'n groot voorreg om my reise met mense soos jy te deel. Dankie ook vir die goeie wense, 'n boer maak 'n plan! Groete
Wow, what contrasts there are where you are, and lots of interesting things to see! Actually, my favorites are the free-range cows and goats! ... Hope you are feeling better. Know how much worse it is to get sick away from home! I always had a rule not to drink "local water" even if it wasn't suspect. It was still different than what my gut was used to ... stuck to bottled water, Coke, beer, wine, bottled juice. In areas that were suspect, didn't eat anything that wasn't pretty well cooked, too. I remember vividly violating that policy (lettuce on a hamburger) and paying dearly. Safe travels, Mr Willie ... always enjoy going along with you, this time with tea and Marie biscuits close by.
Hi Jim, it is always so great hearing from you! Hope all is well in Tucson. Those cows on the street add such a unique touch to the India experience. I am a bit worried for their health though, as they seem to be snacking on some rubbish and discarded items along the roads. As for the food poisoning, yes it is unfortunately something many if not most travellers will encounter. I've heard from an Indian friend that some of the vendors scam people by selling tap water in refilled bottles, so you need to check the seals very, very carefully. Lettuce is something I avoid in general but yes the fruit and veg need to be properly washed and, where appropriate, peeled! I never say no to a cuppa and a Marie, enjoy! Thanks as always for watching and engaging :)
Im sorry to hear you're not feeling well🤢,I hope you recover soon. Wow those gardens 🏞️ and the lake is spectacular. I also love the stories behing the pink buildings, very informative. You had a terrific guide to show you around. Thanks for taking us along on your travels. Stay safe🙏😘
Thanks Elladine! Never nice to get sick or feel unwell on travels but it is part of the game. After some honest introspection I think I've learned a few lessons, which is important for the long run. Yes, Babu was an excellent guide and I would have no hesitation recommending him for others visiting Jaipur. Have a good weekend!
Loved this. As always, no fancy editing or music. Just good old fashioned raw material showing us the real India. It is like I am there with you. Look after yourself, food poisoning sucks.
Hi Willie sorry that you got that dreaded Delhi belly. Well done to that Technician for fixing your laptop. Who feeds all the cows and bulls that wonder around the city streets? Your Driver speaks very well English. The greenery and Jaipur fort is very impressive. Lovely textile stores in India and the suit looked well made😮 what was the cost?
@@marygird7715 Hi Mary, yes it was a matter of when, rather than if, I got the Delhi belly. Great question regarding the cows, I actually don't know, but they seem to be snacking on the rubbish and discarded food. I didn't ask the cost of the suit but I'm pretty sure they would have gone in with a high offer and then it would be up to the buyer to drive the price down. Some very scenic parts in Jaipur, that is for sure!
Very nice city with rather unique architecture. I must iterate, your India trip is a real eye opener for me. The trash is unsightly, but there are a lot of nice things to see and experience though. Jammer om te hoor van die ongesteldheid. Hoop dit gaan gou beter. Dankie soos altyd. 😊
Cheers Errol, definitely a city with a lot to offer. I've heard good reviews of Rajasthan just before I went, so it was great to finally experience a part of its magic. Circumstances notwithstanding, of course. Dankie vir die mooi wense, ek waardeer groot! Groete

But inspite of having such per capita income that amount is enough for Indians to live a decent life in India. That lower per capita income is not considered poor im India because you can literally rent apartment with electricity, running water and afford electrical household appliances with it. Probably inevitable you were going to be ill at some stage. At least it passed quickly but you lost two days to it.
