- York City Grab a huge 3 points in the fight against relegation against National League champions Chesterfield with a 2-1 win. York came from behind to win the match. Chesterfield already champions and heading back the the EFL were all ready in the party atmosphere ahead of todays game.
The national league never disappoints and this was a cracking atmosphere in from of a crowd of over 7000.

Absolutely love the National League...Any1 can beat anyone and the standard has risen so much over the last few years...Chesterfield in the last month have lost to Dorking and York both in the lower reaches of the league but are still 20pts clear at the top!!!...Crazy league...😂😉⚽️

I'm an ipswich fan who's second team is Mansfield as I'm from Mansfield but don't have anything against Chesterfield but in a strange way don't want the spirerites to play stags next season as I want the stags in l1 but the connection of ex ipswich manager Paul Cook and ex ipswich player keiran dyer on the coaching staff also ex ipswich player Armanda Dobra in fine form for Chesterfield. Possibly topping every thing off ipswich being promoted to the Premier league. So could be a brilliant triple. Keep up the good work

I think the name of the stadium says it all... it makes clubs value the support of their "community" even more so than teams in the higher divisions. The format of the leagues always gives every club hope of pushing up to higher things. Well done York & Chesterfield supporters, great atmosphere & well done again Lee.

Get yourself a wind shield/external mike for when it's a bit windy though. I started my podcast all about music and arts in Chesterfield a few years back and did my research with Primal Video for all the kit when setting up (no commission, just a really helpful channel!)so check it out sometime. I first started watching Chesterfield FC 79-80 and one of my earliest memories was drawing away at Hillsborough 3-3. If it'd been 3 points for a win that season we'd have gone up instead of Wednesday! Look forward to our local Derbies again soon. Wasted chances in the first half, and a definite penalty denied yesterday. Up the Spireites! Championés!
