Great looking garlic holder, definitely going to make one for myself after watching this awesome example. It's great to see your beautiful smile again!
I wouldn’t call them mistakes, it’s alternating it to have a different look than the original, or new learning curves. Great work, it’s a beautiful piece!
Winners never quit, and quitters never win. You are certainly a winner after all you’ve been through keep on doing what you do. That was another beautiful utilitarian piece.
Good morning, Kim. A very enjoyable video and project. I am glad the mortise stayed together. Your choice of wood for the lid and the design was both beautiful and practical. A piece that will used and passed down to other generations. Peace be with you.
Isn’t great to get back to turning!!!🎉🥳 You weathered a long and stressful storm! We are all proud of you and your family! God is Great!!! KB 🐸🔱⚓️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Dear Kim, IMHO though you were forced to stop turning due to circumstances out of your control, your current work shows a remarkable "growth" in "maturity" that is phenomenal. Consider yourself BLESSED 😊❤ and most important is 2 Cor 5:17 You are a witness to this ❤
Hello Kim. I was introduced to your channel by Doug Moore. I have been following you for a couple of years. Waiting to see you tuning skills. I am impressed, to say the least. I am glad to see you back doing what you love to do.
Really beautiful figure in the lid! It's interesting that you posted this because Richard Raffan and the other guys in the Four Ways group posted their own garlic boxes.I encourage you to watch them if you haven't already.
So nice to see you back at the lathe.( hope it's working well) Really nice piece, useful and beautiful what more can you ask for. As always thanks for the video. ( it's official the climb is over breath) LOL
❤❤ Kim, this makes #4 that I have watched you make beautifully. Never cut yourself short. You mentioned you didn't want to drill holes in the lid and take away from the feathering of the wood. I have an idea, why not drill the hole on the underside of the lid and put a pin like you did with the magnet closerure box you made. Either way, it's a beautiful piece. I can't wait to see your next piece of art.
Thanks for sharing, I learned how to turn watching videos here on RUclips but only a few are good explaining and you are one of them. Thanks again for sharing and good to see you back at it.
Absolutely beautiful container, take care stay sage and God bless. I have to get things buckle down cause the Hurricane going to hit us Wednesday night the eye of the storm should be at least 30 miles just west of us. Louisiana could use some prayers and in advance thanks and God bless.
Another lovely piece. ("add that to the list Steve") I have made a few of your salt cellars, love the design and now something new to work on. “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.”- Oscar Wilde. Hope you don't mind.
Excellent work. The size and shape of this den is spot on. Your decision on the lid is perfect. That feather figure is gorgeous and it would have been a crime to drill through it. The overhanging rim is a great design element for this lid to be the perfect topper. Such great work. Thank you for sharing it Kim.
Looks great, Kim. It was worth the wait to see you come back.
Bill
Mmm, love me some rich walnut. I do appreciate the wonderful clean artistry of the medallion lid.
