'Africa' was recorded by the rock band Toto. Written by band members David Paich & Jeff Porcaro, it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart & number three on the UK Singles Chart in February 1983.
Wow das spielen sie sehr gut muss ich ihnen sagen gefällt mir ganz gut?. Bitte mach weiter so und besten Dank dafür. Mit besten Grüßen Ihre Anita Leibetseder von Austria.
There is dancing fingers, and then there is Carlton. This very modest man plays down his obvious talent. Midi file it may be, but to achieve this unbelievable sound takes a skill many keyboard players can only dream of achieving. I could listen to this guy all day
I was born and half raised in South Africa. This was very close to home and beautiful. It reminds me of going to the Game reserves and seeing the lions, buck, elephants, etc in their natural habitat while staying at the Krugar National Park and watching the sun set over the velt. I know it's not your song, but thank you for this version for that. :)
its gonna take a lot to drag me away from you. There's nothing that 100 men or more could ever do. I cast the rains down in Africa. Gonna take some time to do the things we never have. I love it
Carlton, I have to tell you that I have probably listened to this video over a hundred times and it still gives me chills. Thank you for all the great videos you have done over the years!
Thanks Carlton, is a sublime interpretation of this theme, brings me back to my golden age of 80s. I love sound Tyros Congratulations and greetings from spain
magic fingers, how proud you must feel creating these beautiful melodies out of famous songs, like this one....dear Carlton you give so much enjoyment to us to listen to your arrangements you create to make master pieces... there is no further stage to an art which is already perfected...your talent to create such performance is appreciated.
Nice work on the David Paich keyboard playing. I don't no why,but this is the most prominent part of the song that stands out like Kilimanjaro over the Serengeti. Some say the song make no sense, but the meaning is hidden deep in a metaphor, Africa is a girl. The beauty of her is so invigorating it is hard to leave her behind. Listening to your rendition made me wish I could own a Yamaha Tyros just to play this song. I guess some of us must wait for the next life, maybe our luck will change. Good playing.
Eu ja era fã dessa música agora sou mais ainda, você é puro talento Parabéns.

Awesome cover with also wonderful video underplays that include animals but should not be forgotten about what this masterpiece is really about: In 2015, David Paich explained that the song is about a man's love of a continent, Africa, rather than just a personal romance. "At the beginning of the '80s I watched a late night doc about the terrible death and suffering of the people in Africa. It moved and appalled me, and the pictures just wouldn't leave my head. I tried to imagine how I'd feel if I was there."
