I don't agree with making a special loophole that gets tax exempt. This just encourages companies and workers to try to force customers to pay 1 way instead of another, makes companies pay in stock options instead of wages which hides how much millions they're throwing away at overpaid C-suiters, etc. Ideally, all earned income gets taxed the exact same amount. And that amount is close as possible to zero.
