Love how he avoided the question about "peaking," pretending like it had something to do with whether or not a performance _can_ get better: duh, all performances can be better. The question is, how do you avoid situations where your performance as a line _DOESN'T_ get better -- i.e., it has "peaked" -- despite the continuing investment (waste?) of time & effort? Would've appreciated an answer to that question, for sure.
Her name is Deanna Stockwell. I forgot what ensemble she plays for when competing in indoor percussion, but I know she broke her leg or something during WGI this year. Your best bet is to try searching her name on Instagram.
hard...to...do anyone that says otherwise has no voice. precision drumming...arcs so consistent...dynamics...a few observations related to unity; 1. why a drummer wearing blue jeans when the color is black? 2. after the performance while listening, all body movements need to be the same (when you are not playing you are still performing, one guy has hands at side, the next arms down, one head is straight, another leaning right,,,yes, this matters),
He said he was burnt out after ‘16 but near the beginning of ‘17 season he realized he made a huge mistake but it was too late. He was set to be an injury replacement though in case anyone had to leave from tour on snare
you can always learn! i play trumpet and i got a vic firth pad and a pair of sticks and learned an okay traditional grip in about 8 months from playing in my school's pep band and watching videos online! anyone can play and instrument, it just takes commitment
Drum Corp. style doesn't lend itself to "soul". It's very regimented because it originated with military cadences. For "soul", look to drum set playing.
Line is always talented but Never been a fan of this bobing articulate movement every corps does now because its all the same like school figures need some innovation body movement and drilling.
"Right on the 50. For the rest of the show" *subtly reminding us that he was center snare*
Parker Stockford 😂
This is the most together ive ever heard a crowd clap, typically its all hella out of time lmao
this will always be the og line
Samarth Vohra nope 2011-2013 was
I went to this clinic and I was very tempted to ask scojo why east coast lines are the best. Just for the lolz.
2:38 all the basses are so in time, that there basses are wobbling at the same exact time :D
Hayden M. Their*

TENORS ROCK!!!!
Sounds like my fingers tapping while I am thinking
13:25 guy on the right… relatable😂
At 4:00 he makes a good point saying don’t clap for 8 a hand my school does that
is that miles kennobie on tenors??
ISSSAC Gonzalez yep
Coz this was the 2017 line
he phat dude
he definitely gained some weight thats for sure, he looked so different when he marched academy
legoj14 LOL
ISSSAC Gonzalez bruh 😂😂😂
Tenors. The hardest line instrument.
FanaticalDrummer I play snare but I agree
FanaticalDrummer But the most badass and funnest of them all.
depends on what you mean by hardest
I play snare but bass drum might be hardest because you're relying on other people to play their part right LOL
@@yes-rn5sk honestly I agree with u, bass 1 and 2 got a lot of responsibility
I think obie one kennobie ate the death star
Very skill blue devils because marching percussion 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What age do you enter a drum core? Like I'm deciding on it, but I'm just not sure when in my life I should.
17-21
Daniel Kim 16-21 for most
literally whenever, just go for it
Why isnt this the whole line? They are missing 2 snares and a quad
Because it’s out of season and some people couldn’t make it
They got tall snares 😮
I'm a wind player
Warm chili turns me in to a wind player.
Scojo: What are u doin here!?!
Bro screw the drums. Who was the girl on base 1 and where can I find her
asian with a nice ass....good luck finding her
He said her name was Deeana.
Her name is Deanna Stockwell. I forgot what ensemble she plays for when competing in indoor percussion, but I know she broke her leg or something during WGI this year. Your best bet is to try searching her name on Instagram.
She is with Broken City.
She's with Justin Carpenter (tenor player for Broken City 16,17) good luck on that one... Probably not gonna happen.
What happened to Brandon
Andrew Games Hard he dead
Andrew Games Hard didn’t march that year.
My theory is that the Illuminati took him and put robot parts in him to make him "peak"
I don't see Olander on this 2018 line whats the deal here ?????#BrandonGate2018
Derek Denton don’t worry he’s on the line this year maybe not in this video
I was at that clinic. Scojo basically said that he was busy with school or something. One guy on their bass line came from Italy.
Maybe cause it's the 2017 line, not 18.
Derek Denton this was the 2017 line not the 2018 line
josh d I mean BD was facing future in ‘17...

Dat coolie on bass 1 player tho... :x
iamZahnder her name is Deanna stockwell
I wouldn't mind her being Mrs. Smelly Web.
you guys are weird
The only bad thing is they use system blue drums
They sound and look good to me
Sadly only one female in the entire line.
Is Brandon here? Or am I just blind
He didn’t March in 2017
Literally the one year Brandon didn't march
He said he was burnt out after ‘16 but near the beginning of ‘17 season he realized he made a huge mistake but it was too late. He was set to be an injury replacement though in case anyone had to leave from tour on snare
I've never drummed. But watch this stuff all the time. Would love to learn from them.
you can always learn! i play trumpet and i got a vic firth pad and a pair of sticks and learned an okay traditional grip in about 8 months from playing in my school's pep band and watching videos online! anyone can play and instrument, it just takes commitment
I went from sax from 6th-11th grade and started during senior year and played nonstop now im on snare for senior year
Where's the soul?
Drum Corp. style doesn't lend itself to "soul". It's very regimented because it originated with military cadences. For "soul", look to drum set playing.
Rip steven
Sebastian Gutierrez Tru without him, the tenor line ain't as loud
Did he age out?
Chris McClincey Nah man school issues but I think he is aging out this year
Chris McClincey I mean, that too. He’s just not in the video.
this was a while back but i heard from someone that steven was gonna march this year. i could be totally wrong though
8:30

T San Its for time. Nothing else lol. If you dont do it your knees lock up.
If it’s not broken, why fix it?
No seasoning 🧂 😒
Zzzzzzzzzz
OMG THIS AUDIENCE ARE OBVIOUSLY TERRIBLE DRUMMERS!!! COUNT FOUR COUNTS BEFORE CLAPPING
I think drum lines shouldn’t be dancing around. Looks dumb let the horns and flags dance. Drummers are supposed to be cool. This is not. IMO.
Whatever you do, don't look up indoor percussion loll
Lmao look at this dude
Yeah try win DCI with that
