I enjoyed it more than Fallen Kingdom. For me I mostly think the third act is a mess. I think when the two groups of heroes are on their separate journeys it is a pretty fun adventure movie. When they come together it's way too many characters, there is a ridiculous amount of Deus Ex Machina, the action does not really make a lot of sense and I think they should have killed off at least one of the characters. Also the dinos feel really side-lined in large portions of the last act. I don't think they build up the Giganotosaurus enough, despite the characters constantly saying it's the biggest carnivore ever, so the last fight kinda falls flat.
But I legitimately enjoyed most of the first two acts. Great dino variety. The Therizinosaurus introduction scene is the best tension in the movie. I enjoyed the use of animatronics. I don't think they do quite as much with the "dinosaurs on the main land" than I would have liked. But I would love them to do a spin-off TV Series that follows the U.S. Fish and Wildlife guys tackling dino of the week problems.
Did anyone else find it odd how long Ramsey stared at Dodgson in their final conversation before saying a word? Lmao
Also Maisie screaming inside the ladder cage was legit acting, she seemed terrified
It for sure seemed like they cut a lot with Ramsey and Dodgson. The way Dodgson talks about him, makes it sound like Ramsey could have been a clone of himself that was supposed to be his successor and think the exact same way and then at the end didn't

Cameron Thor who played ''Dodgson'' from the first film did not return for the new movie, due to kidnapping a 13 year old girl and being listed as a convicted sex offender. To which he is currently in prison serving a six year sentence. Campbell Scott took over the roll for ''Dominion''.

Why did they insist on having so many side characters and not giving them anything to do? Justice Smith and Daniela Piñeda are gone within the first 15 minutes. Sidlining Blue was a weird move. The two mercenaries are just there to pad out the runtime with chase sequences. Kayla is basically ONLY just a pilot and nothing else useful. Ramsey doesn't do anything that Ian Malcolm wasn't already doing. That final dino fight seemed pretty unnecessary. This basically feels like a semi-competent action movie with dinosaurs crammed in it.
They could've at least killed one of them. As bad as the Lost World was, it at least killed one of the protagonists. It was the only one who reasonably should've survived the movie because he was the only one to show common sense, but it was better than this movie.

I had big problems with how fallen kingdom ended so my expectations were super low for this one. It managed to be better than fallen kingdom in my mind. Definitely feel this movie would have been way better if they cut it down by 26 minutes

I'm surprised no one mentioned that they caught a live locust at the beginning of the movie, yet needed to break in to a secret lab, to get a sample of a living locust?
To prove that it's the same locust, and that they were in fact created in the secret lab. The implication here being that Monsant-ehh I mean Biosyn would, if confronted with accusations of genetically creating the locust to avoid their crops and target competitors, simply claim that they're naturally occuring locust and that their crops are just more hardy and resistant to these locust on account of their superior genetic modification that people should totally invest in, while simultaneously destroying all evidence of wrongdoing inb4 any government investigation. However, if dino greenpeace can show that biosyn have these locusts in a lab, and they're genetically identical to the ones conveniently avoiding biosyn crops, then that excuse won't hold water.
You could tell me that an early experimental machine learning algorithm wrote this movie and I would believe it.
Maybe I'm just having trouble finding it, but has the KF crew reviewed the Rocky/Creed series? They'll definitely have to, with Creed III coming out later this year.

I think it says a lot about Dominion that I still don't understand what happened in the movie after listening to this.
Saw the circle structure when they first got to the lab and leaned over to my gf and said the trex was going to ealk behind it making the logo and I was not disappointed.

This is the first time my wife and I left early from a movie. Not getting me "sunk cost fallacy". So bad! On the plus side, I realize I only need the original in 4k instead of the fancy 6 pack! ... Maybe Lost World too. Ha! Nostalgia!
I don't know if or when we'll see that intro, but it will always be in our hearts.
Dominion is my favorite of the World trilogy and I think its a solid "good" unlike World and Fallen Kingdom.

I know this is late, but was the sound bad for anyone else that saw the movie in theaters? It was so painful to my ears that I left the movie midway through.
Just going to reiterate what other people have been saying in the comments for a while now, Aliens, Predator, and AVP movies in review please. Those movies are a rollercoaster of quality, and it would make a glorious in review. And don't skip any of the bad ones like you did with Terminator. The unwatchably bad movies make some of the best reviews.

I have awarded Colin Trevorow with the esteemed “Michael Bay Award” which means whenever I see his name attached to anything I will avoid that project like the plague. Abysmal director and writer.
Thank you for giving Jurassic Park 3 the third place. It is totally misunderstood and is the most under-appreciated movie of the franchise.

There were several moments where I rolled my eyes or sucked my teeth. I'll accept this as a conclusion to the franchise. I'm okay with it being last or second to last.
Remember the prequel?
It's so strange, because I hated Fallen Kingdom. Thought it was utter trash garbage. And I have to admit that this movie was not good, BUT I thought it was fun, and not bad necessarily.
The 45 minutes, pretty terrible, but from then on, it's pretty fun, it's pretty ridiculous, it wasn't anything amazing, but it was different, and it was entertaining. Tons of plot holes/strange plot points. But I enjoyed the old characters and felt that they were written more in the old style that I prefer. Overall, this whole "Jurassic World" trilogy is pretty bad in my opinion, but this did better than my expectations and I actually walked out of the theater pretty happy and entertained.
It's really interesting to see a different perspective here and see what you guys thought.

I enjoyed it overall. Yes it was bloated, really dumb, and pretty incompetent. Despite that, I still enjoyed the OG cast and seeing some Dino action. It's a cheesy mess. 3/5.
The dialogue in this movie reminds me of how bad the writing is in Old.
For all the shade I gave both World & Fallen Kingdom I actually really liked Dominion, it was fun. I don’t ultimately buy the Coexist-bumper-sticker ending but it makes sense with the story they set up.

This movie is just pure dumb fun. It's full of nostalgia and fan service. There was a lot of cool cinematography and the vfx were great. It's sooo much better than Fallen Kingdom. It's not trying to be smart or sophisticated. It's just good old summer pop corn flick. Sometimes all you need is dumb action movie.
First, I am watching this a month after it came put and totally forgot about Tim's mustache! Amazing!
Second, yall are crazy for putting lost world under 3, three is a irredeemable piece of crap.
Third, hell naw Dominion wasn't that bad! Certainly better than fallen kingdom and 3, come on now.
Three things: Y’all were way too hard on The Lost World. Dominion absolutely sucked. I’m now miraculously thankful for Rise of Skywalker knowing Colin Trevorow almost made episode IX.

You know, I hate the World movies, but if they go the Monsterverse direction where the T-Rex basically becomes the ruler of the Dinosaurs like Godzilla basically is to the Titans it will redeem every stupid choice these movies have made. Except all the stupidity involving Owen and Blue. Nothing will ever redeem that stupidity except Blue killing him because it was just screwing with him the whole time.
I Think This One was good better then the second half of Fallen Kingodm it had some issues

Honestly I don’t know why critics are hating this film so much. Yes the villain isn’t properly written and there were a few times where the plot was fairly muddled, but it was still a fun movie. I mean the chase scene with the Raptors in Malta was exciting as hell. Also this movie did something VERY few movies do nowadays which is use actual animatronics! And they made the new dinosaurs look very accurate to how they looked, like how the Raptors have feathers finally! And this movie actually did something Star Wars failed to do with its sequel trilogy, reunite the 3 original cast members.
Plus SPOILER ALERT: They solved the problem of the dinosaurs running amok by taking the large carnivores and other “problem” dinosaurs and putting them in the preserve in the ruins of Biosyn. Not only will they not suffer from lack of resources like on the islands but they finally have a habitat of their own.
Finally saw it on a plane last night. Not too bad. I liked seeing the old crew and the new crew. Just trying to answer the questions of the last movie is tall, tall order and they managed to make something entertaining, if not super shallow.

Actually quite enjoyed it and preferred it to Fallen Kingdom. Second half is far better than the first, I liked how the 2 plots finally met and the interactions, and that it fulfilled my wish for lots of dinosaur chases (Which Fallen Kingdom missed). Villain was terrible and strangely acted, and I’m not sure how you can have snow covered mountains overlooking a tropical rainforest? Still liked it though and a solid 7/10
Just started the vid, I loved the movie way better than Fallen Kingdom but what was up with the theme not being used in full these past movies, they use the first bar or so then leave it like they didn't have the rights to John Williams stuff lol.
I had fun with this movie. Sure it has flaws and it's nowhere near the original but I still enjoyed it for what it was. Definitely better than the last movie which I thought was utterly terrible.
Can't wait for Rise of Jurassic World where Beta learns to talk and takes over the world
And somehow we're supposed to empathize with Beta even though it's clearly the villain of the movie.
I finally saw this film on Amazon for a family gathering, and man, god awful. Andy jokes that he thought Dodgson was gonna turn into a dinosaur, and I really wish this film had gone full-on into Resident Evil territory with dinosaur-human hybrids. That would have been way more interesting and bonkers, cuz god, this film was just dumb and boring. At least it could have been dumb and FUN.

I looked at my phone at around the hour and a half mark and saw that it had only been about 45 MINUTES INTO THE MOVIE! I then walked out of the theatre cuz I was SO BORED.
For further context, this was a FREE employee screening where I was watching it with all of my coworkers. And I'm someone that enjoyed the last two for simply being enjoyable to me.

Damn, I thought this was the best Jurassic Park sequel, personally. It wasn't great, but I didn't think it was nearly as bad as y'all made it sound lol.
The movie really wasn't that bad! It was a perfectly "fine" popcorn flick. Had some really dumb dialogue but had fun dinosaurs and actors that weren't given a lot to work with.
Man, I feel like you guys were way off base on this one. Fallen Kingdom was absolutely terrible and aside from Jurassic Park, pretty much all of these movies are bad. However, this was easily one of the strongest in the franchise. I'd say either this or World are second best.

This IS the worst Jurassic Park movie ever, worse than Lost World and III
I think Lost World edges out as worse than this. As bad as the characters in this movie are, none of them are cartoonishly stupid like Sarah or blatantly evil like Nick. And at least Ian had an actual reason to be involved in the plot of this movie, Lost World there was no in universe reason for him to be there.
I have not seen this movie the last movie I saw in this series is world and I don’t like the original Jurassic park so I’m ready to shit on this bad movie.
This movie is dumb as shit. Fallen Kingdom at least was shot better and had better action. Dominion was a fucking mess.
Jurassic Park is my favorite movie, so maybe I’m skewed a bit (even though I really like every other movie in the series outside of FK), but yeah… I think this is my least favorite movie I’ve ever watched. This was soulless, cringy, and boring. The best thing about it is that we can laugh even harder at Trevorrow referring to Giganotosaurus being like the Joker now that we’ve seen what he was talking about.

Obviously none of these guys know much about Dinosaurs, nor do they understand what the Series is about. this movie is neck and neck with the original movie for my favorite Jurassic Park movie. I thought the movie was awesome!
