I remember when stickers started showing up at Hallmark shops and now that I am going through stuff I'm finding some I didn't use because I was hoarding them! I immediately put them in my journal so they are used!! Thanks for sharing the pens etc. because when I go through mine I wonder why do I have so many??? Mine are art pens etc. My plan is to bundle them all and donate them to the school or find some kids who could use them. I also have a ton of empty sketchbooks, I could make bundles to give away or sell. I always told my kids a mess gets worse before it gets better. Keep going...it does get to be less. It took me a year to clear my house out many years ago. I need to redo it but I've given myself 2 years so I have no pressure. Plus I am 30 years older LOL.
Just keep sorting. With them all together now, you are more likely to use them up.Rather than just find a different one to use each and every time. We collated all the everyday stationary into one spot in the house. Now we can find everything we need when we want it and have not bought anything new either - we have received gifts though.
We have been doing car boots and now my front room is crammed with stuff people have donated, Will do car boots until we get fed up ,I will then donate to try to keep stuff from landfill , Had cleared it of my dads things but now back to square one , still we are making money , Well done on your clearing ,x
I too love stationary! All the colors and different feels of pens, pencils & felt tips. Don’t get me started on note pads, books and file folders. I absolutely couldn’t wait for school in the fall because we got all new supplies. Packing my book bag and writing my name on all my notebooks & folders was so fun. I loved to do it for my girls when they were little too! When I downsized I gave a lot of it away to a local nursing home. I was happy to know that it was all going to get used and appreciated. Good job on letting so much go. Each pass through will get easier and easier. Great video, keep up the good work! 😊
Although I did not appreciate the parts of the Olympics like you, I agree with your husband that you are supporting the athletes. So happy you are making sure your daughter knows how to use an analog clock. As a former teacher, this skill and counting back change are two things I worked with my students on because young people struggle with them. I had to laugh when you mentioned which stores your daughter wanted to visit since you are purging so many of those things. But I love new stationery as well!
I call what you're speaking about with the tidying domino effect for each room the "if you give a mouse a cookie" tidying issue. Sometimes it feels a lot more dependent on other rooms or things to finish one room.
Hi Emma, You worked wonders on the hall! It’s great to see you fired up with enthusiasm😊 a holiday will do that to you I think, you suddenly see all the stuff you’ve got and don’t really need. Happens to me still,you’re right too that it’s an ongoing ever increasing journey to declutter and vastly reduce inventory. My granddaughter is having to be sedated next month to have several of her second teeth out, her enamel on all of her teeth is very,very poor but she was very ill at birth and was immediately put on intravenous antibiotics for the first seven days of her life, then 8/9 months later she developed sepsis and again on it antibiotics for almost 3 weeks, the dentist thinks those events have a lot to do with it. Poor little girly. 😢 Wonderful to see you as always. 🥰xx
Emma... You are working so smart now. Just think you wont have to pick up those decluttered pens, etc. EVER again. And... You are absolutely correct. Keep only what makes you joyful... Only keep things you will use. The more you get rid of things, the easier your house will be to keep tidy. Take pictures of things if you feel the pull to keep them because of a memory.... then donate to someone that will use the item. The less time you spend looking for things or having to clean up.... the more time you can spend making more memories with your daughter and husband. That's the best gift!

But i loved a lot of the artistry, costumes and choreography. A lot of which was performed in the pouring rain. Very dangerous. The performers experience and professionalism shone for me . i grew up in the theatre so do see the hours of work behind the final product 🎭 im quite dilly & free spirited. I also love history. I do think theres no one that can do pomp and ceremony like the English but theres also no one who can do theatre like the french. Albeit, drawn out - so very french 😂I am gald your husband gave you that perspective of the devil winning in the end. So very very true! For me it was art. The heavy metal band portraying Marie Antoinette and the storming of the palace of Versailles during the french revolution was outstanding ! I went to art school for ballet 🩰 but many of my friends are musicians and play in bands. Whom i often listened to play, practise, perform. My love for music ranges from Tchaikovsky to Korn 😂 and do recognise and appreciate how steeped in classical, rock and heavy metal are. That performance was underrated in my humble opinion 🤘 the crowd cheering even added to the fact of the angry crowd about to storm the palace. The fire 🔥 oh man i could see the pitchforks. It was such a great moment for heavy metal that often carries a bad rap. Love being part of your journey and your approach to life. You do make me feel quite like you especially when it comes to dealing with family, work and the outside world of wonderful personalities and you inspire to approach or see things differently sometimes. Glad you had a brill holiday and home back safe and sound xxx Less is more ! ❤
Phenomenal amount of stationery. Amazed at how many memories you have of pencils from your youth. Very patient sorting through so much stuff!! I was a little disappointed that after all your sorting you dumped all the writing implements into one big box. I wrap each type in elastic bands--smile
The other lady could be sitting alone and sad cause shes got nothing left to do! My goodness.. I'm just listening about the man with his tidy partner.... she perhaps stays at home..... whereas you are a very very busy working mum . Look at you go.... after all this time you're still making time in your busy schedule to tidy and sort your home. You do fantastically well. Don't worry about others ways... I have favorite pens,markers,etc. I have a pen that was my mother’s,I still keep it in my bag. It’s 40 years old.
