Yeah the dude tended to act like complete loser at times. Whether it was lack of training, responsibility, and general diligence/eagerness to learn Kung Fu in general.. which is what MADE him in the first movie.
Even on occasional moments he was a straight-up asshole or was utterly consumed by his ego, which was well demonstrated in the Enter the Dragon two-episode arc. Definitely not the Po we all know and love.
