Wow! Didn’t think I’d like the end product, but you made those shoes beautiful!! What a lucky girl your daughter is! Tell her to keep up the good grades!
Those look amazing! I'd say around $300-500. If its something super expensive like a LV then have them provide it or add expense of materials to it. But just the work and labor of it, I'd say $300 is fair unless excessive material cost.
@@AlexanderWilson-mb4nbnot really man it’s literally leather it’s not some super duper rare leather because it has some company label on it that’s popular a peice of the same quality leather a brand new pair of af1 the job shouldn’t be anywhere near no 300 or 500 or 1200 dollars
It depends how much are the materials. I read leftover LV leather is around $4 a meter. A pair of air force 1 are $115. With your time, between $250-$350 depending on the time and effort you put into them
Well this is not L.V leather, it is LV coated canvas and repurposing LV coated canvas is very popular. There is no way this material is $4 a meter! You would have to find 3-6 completely unrepairable bags to get a meter of the material. The main thing that LV looks at when deciding if they can repair a bag is the coated canvas. It can’t be ripped or anything like that. And you’re telling me that many many bags would only get four dollars? This isn’t even logical!
Just a little bit of a tip when making LV stuff, try not to cut off the LV logo and try to center them/match/line them up, it makes a difference! Congratulations to your smart daughter! May she continue to bring home excellent grades! 🥰
I’m a disabled American combat veteran. I find your work fascinating, I would love to see you do a pair for the Army, maybe a Memorial Day pair. You know a pair that honored my brothers and sisters who didn’t make it home.
I see most people saying 200-300; but honestly I think you could ask more. That is a really niche talent you have. People will pay out the nose for your work.❤❤❤
I do think that there are some that might, but they definitely aren't the majority. It would be wise to start at that lower price point to start interest and after, if it becomes more in demand, raise prices. It will net more money up front as you create a demand.
Amazing job and as a father I can say this what you did for her is priceless. However if you are going to charge someone for custom shoes ahhh I just don’t know I have never had a lot of money and I always try to keep things with in reason depending on the persons finances so I am the last person that should be running a business or giving advice. With all that said if the person is well off I would say custom jobs would start off at $500.00.
There's people that are paying up to (and I can't believe it) $850 for certain Nikes... The way I see it you have a gift, just because someone learns a craft doesn't always mean that they're gifted but you my friend are at the top of your profession, much respect
850 lolol there's collabs going for easily over 20k bro. If this was a clean brand new AF1 with the LV bag on it I'd say an easy 1 to 2k for sale is fair.
@@profligatepassages are you serious?, Jeeeesus Christmas, I know I'm old (53) but I just can't see spending that much on something like a pair of shoes, hell I didn't pay that much for my car 🤣🤣🤣
I have some Air Force ones that’s are worth around 10k right now and there are some that are way more than that now I would probably never even put most of them on my daily shoes are just stockish af1
If I were you daughter, I would never wear these! They would be too precious & priceless for me. I'd have them forever & pass them down the generations as heirlooms, that's how much I'd love a Dad who would do this for me! They look awesome,, great job ❣️

Each time I visited the shop, I enjoyed the fragrance of leather and Barge cement (before Toulene was removed). Thanks for the memories. And thanks for demonstrating your superb craftsmanship!
For custom sneaks, I'd figure around $150-500 max. Figuring the cost of the actual shoe someone has to either send or bring you. Materials aren't crazy unless someone wants something crazy then price it accordingly. But id say average $150-500 pending how much YOU like doing it.
I did one for my Wife on 8 March it took me 3 hours and I stich by my hand saddle stitch she had a throw away bag Im Muscovite Businessman Even though I can easily afford to buy such things I also prefer custom made a lot and and always appreciate efforts since it is so unique.God may Bless you brother take care good luck greetings from Moscow !
Those shoes look awesome. I am not a brand name type person at all. But the fact that you are recycling and making a one of a kind custom item out of the old bag is super cool and that you did it for your daughter makes it extremely special.
They look sick but I would have left the Nike check and tongue all white and instead don't the small heel pull area with LV and some dope brown LV laces.
I'm not normally a fan of how kids personalize their shoes these days. But these are absolutely fantastic! Plus, you add in daddy's love and they are perfect!

$350

Yes!!
Just the fact that it’s genuine LV material and all the attention to detail + taking time into consideration 1 full day per shoe 400-1200
Is customizing up that much compared to purchasing custom made shoes?
How much do you think the LV scrap leather is?

I agree. With something like these LV customs someone would easily pay the 350 and flip them for much much more.
People want stuff for free when they wouldn't even work in a factory for that type of wage after buying the materials😂
