I definitely recommend it! In my opinion it’s the best place in the country to see narrow gauge geared steam locomotives doing exactly what they were built to do.
I miss Tuolumne's old whistle she sounded a lot more like Dixiana. I hope they never replace Dixi's whistle she's got the most beautiful whistle of them all.
Does anyone know when #2 got hack it's original whistle? I hit heard it cracked. For many years now it had a whistle nearly identical to #1. Now it sounds like it did when I was a kid!
Awesome shots. Can't wait to see the 4K versions. Thanks for the invitation!
First time I rode this was shortly after opening in early 60’s!
Did the Engineer for the Day 2 X in the last 5 yrs up in the cab of Dixianna !
Watching this I was thinking just how close the fire came.. but it's ok! Great video, thanks!
Well done! Excellent footage. I hope to some day visit as those curves, grades and trestles would be amazing to see in person!

this past Sunday was the whistle's first day back on the engine.
@@kevin2472 Thanks! I found another video after my post of the place that repaired it. It really had some major rebuilding done. Glad it is back.
@@arnold894 I remember hearing and seeing that whistle from America By Rail from Railway Productions.
It was overhauled by Rizzoli Locomotive works last year.
One of the Engineers sent it in to be repaired. I'm sure it was a collective effort.
Hey do you get perrrmision to film on their property, just wondering
