An introduction to 0200 HOURS: a game of stealthy night raids in World War II. In this battle report the viewers and participants alike (re)learn how to play this skirmish game involving a firefight between British SAS troopers and German Heer sentries. Models used are a mixture of 28mm Wargames Atlantic, Italeri and Warlord Games.
The "butcher and bolt" tactics envisioned by Winston Churchill in 1940 referred to a strategy of raiding and attacking German forces in occupied Europe. These tactics were implemented by the British special forces, especially the SAS and the commandos.

Derp alert! It seems we've been playing this game wrong (as far as reserves go) for months. It has come to my attention that when the defender's reserves enter the battle they advance either toward the objective, or if there is no objective, the centre of the table. Thanks to @raphaeloudsen7826 for the heads up!

Your cinematic style battle reports are some of the most entertaining battle reports on RUclips. I don't know if you have a patreon or something, but I'd like to help support the production of more in that style.

Thanks, that's awesome of you! I was thinking of setting up a Patreon account once I publish a few more videos and get a few more subscribers.

Theres an game SAS: Rogue Heroes that just made a successful KS. I think you guys would love it. It asymmetrical infiltration commando game. Runs very smooth and fast. But its hard to win. I think you should check it.

When the defenders enter from reserves, they move towards the center of the table, or, if these are available, towards objectives. So you don't follow chevrons like roving patrol. Enjoyable battle report though!

Wow, thanks! I was thinking that once the reserves get on the rules get a bit janky. Need to reread the rules more carefully, I guess.

@@cinematictabletopHappy to help. It's on page 45 of the rulebook. In the errata / FAQ are optional rules to make the sentries perform even better/more intelligent.
