      Did you end up keeping it the way it is, bro? I ended up doing 12% all around instead of the 5%! Looks sick. I just felt 5% was too dark to see at night, especially since I don’t have backup cameras in my car. It’s actually better off, I think-so don’t second-guess yourself. That look is dope and honestly-while 5% looks good, the car looks more elegant and sleek the way yours does. You can always redo it when the time comes. God bless.

    First of all great video sir. I have had 5% on my Grand Marquis, my Jetta for over 2 decades. As long as you are driving with sense and if you get pulled over let your windows down. Very rarely will you get ticketed. It does depend on your location, the officer, and luck of the draw but after 20 yrs I never got a ticket or asked to take off my tint. I lived in Charleston SC and currently Atlanta GA. Last I am 50 yrs old and if you are familiar with your truck then you will quickly become comfortable with the 5% in a matter of a couple days especially if you already had tint for some time. I only put down my window i hard rain, snow, or pitch black roads or parking areas. I’m about to put 5% on an Acura TLX and 50% front. Do it and enjoy. Last if you want to see what its like where some light sunglasses at night or day to get the 5% feeling and you can see first hand. Great job! New subscriber here!!

    Upgrade to 35 on the windshield. I had 35 on the windshield and 15 all around on a Scion tC and you couldn't see anything but basic shapes at the most unless the sunroof was uncovered or the windshield was facing towards the sun/bright part of a cloudy sky. Before you say "That's still not enough," just remember that your truck has the extra advantage of being tall and therefore harder to look into, anyway.
    Also, most trucks come with bare glass on the rear and rear sides that's already 20-25%, so when you add 15 to it, it becomes 15% OF 20-25%, which is 3-4%. If you wanted the rears to match the 15% front perfectly, you'd have to put 70% on them, or you could've put 50% on the rears to get them a bit darker without being the ridiculous 3-4%.
    *EDIT:* Seems you already knew about the privacy glass, nice. I still recommend 35/15, and if you want to, consider darkening the sunroof with ceramic, as well. I stupidly put 15% on my tC's sunroof and couldn't see shit out of it at night(I still wanted to see the night sky/stars), so watch out for that. I'd probably do the sunroof either 35, 50, or even 70 nowadays. A hidden benefit is that the lighter you do the sunroof, the more you can fool the cops if you leave the shade open while riding down the road during the day.

    • @TFBJFord
      @TFBJFord  6 месяцев назад

      Good tip on the sunroof cause I’m actually considering tinting my sunroof and was going to do 20%. But I think I may do 35% or 50 maybe. Probably 35. But I’m still more than likely going to do 5% all around and maybe 35 on the shield.

      @Drunken_Hamster 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@TFBJFord If you're going that dark, then I definitely recommend the 50 on the sunroof. At least the front section, and you can do the back at 35 to keep the theme of "back row is darker" since there you'll still have 15 on 20/25 (effectively) and it's like 4% total.

    Could just tint the windshield darker and see from there, I had 35% on my car because cops love pulling people over for tint and when it was nice outside and I had to drive in my town I put my sunroof down and let all the light in and my car didn’t even look tinted lol. Less light inside the vehicle the darker the tint appears. Might be screwing yourself getting a darker windshield plus darker tint.

      @@TFBJFord 35% on the windshield is cool 😎. Would've done it on mine, but I'm in NYC. NYPD is annoying with these tint laws. Some of these cops get excited when they see dark tints on front windows. Especially front windshields!! Smh 😒 So I did the 5% 🌞 Strip instead. I went just a lil bit lower than the legal limit, but not too low, so let's see how that goes 😆.

      @@TFBJFord No, it’s not hard at all to use, brother. And, you’d be amazed at how many cool things you can add to your truck with Forscan, like actual temperature numbers over the engine and transmission gauges. Plus, you can add Lincoln style folding mirrors and so much more. Once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy and adds a lot of extra features to your truck.

    I hate 5 %in front i hate giving law a reason and i like to see when driving. Pulling out in middle lanes passing people and using mirrors are gonna be way easier with nothing on front do whatever in back but most places leagle is gonna be above 35% so why would you give the cops a reason to fuck with you ?
