Malcolm Pugh has become one of my absolute favorite guitarists in the game these days. I'll never forget when I first heard The Path Of Apotheosis. Revenant is a great follow up album. Simply an incredible band!
@@joelh870 Absolutely! All of them are fantastic. I'm a huge guitar guy and Pugh just really caters to my personal style. Definitely no disrespect to anyone outside of him.
Yeah I actually found A Loathing Requiem first, years ago now I guess (when the first album was released). It took me a long time to come around to Path of Apotheosis, which is kind of embarrassing, but it takes me a while to “get” music sometimes. I was like a super purist tech death nerd at the time still. Well I ended up buying and it just letting it play for a long time, and needless to say that was that. Then I found Vektor more recently, and basically I’m not a pure tech death elitist anymore.
I can’t believe I didn’t see it. My brother went, and I said “that’s how much of a hermit I am, that I won’t drive up to the city even for THAT show”. To be fair it was a weekday, and I’m a grown ass man (IM A GROWN ASS MAN) now, so I knew I wouldn’t get up if I went the next day. Sucks, that’s the best show lineup I’ve ever seen, tbh. Wish they played in NJ.
@@hobojungle1 Yes that was great too, along with other great releases from Augury, Gorod, Obscura, Beyond Creation and Alkaloid. However personally I found Revenant topping them all. To those who adore metal 2018 will be remembered as the year of quality tech death releases.
Been sharing technical death metal bands with my father, especially this just now, since he introduced me to heavy metal when I was 6 years old to even bands like Gojira when I was around 20. Great Stuff !!
Very weird when older dad's like this type of stuff. Mines alot older I'm almost 40 and he'll listen to a band like inferi and say the music is great but the voacals are weird and I say would you like them to sing like Elvis or something? Idk
finally,a music video woohoo ...I am hoping that you guys are planning to shoot some live DVD footage soon :3 that would be the best present ever for every tech melo prog deathmetalhead :3 INFERI
Incredible job to those involved in creating the video. Nice footage and editing. The song’s composition and performance = yes. Haha. The recording spotlights pretty well each instrument and member’s purpose quite well. ¡Gracias por esta belleza!
My friend recommended this band last year and I can not thank him enough. This is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Hope the bands gets economic remuneration and the praise they deserve!
Wuuuuuut I had no idea the lead singer was black. That's fucking awesome and so rare to see in metal like this especially! Makes me like them even more, if that's even possible this band is already legendary
@@b00tch3r they both have astounding lyrics too. A very interesting collaboration. Especially the world building of both bands. I would buy anything that those two bands touched.
@@yexolth Completely agree with you. Both bands are absolutely phenomenal and have been a huge influence on me as a muso, and both have helped me through some pretty rough shit. A lot of love and respect for these gentlemen
I took enough dabs this afternoon to slow me down just enough to check my YT notifications and I see the notification for this video! Cannabis concentrates + New Inferi = Great day!
Just FYI for all the "attention to detail" types: I am aware that this song isn't new, but the video is. The video is what I'm referring to in my initial comment.
Just came here from "Cursed Unholy", and I was worried the guitarists had no lead phrasing. This vid proved me wrong. Not really my kinda genre, but they're definitely competent at what they do.
While Rebirth was released after Revenant, the material was written years ago. All of those songs are merely rerecorded versions of their original compositions from back in 2009. Songs like this were written much more recently. Just wait until you hear what we're cooking up next ;)
When tech and melodeath combines perfectly and creates the definitive band.
IKR Technical Melodeath is honestly the best genre ever and Inferi does it perfectly
@@zachpeters4253 Allegaeon is another great example of this.
@@joyshaitan Agreeed! Seeing them this week :) so hyped!

Bloodshot Dawn "Demons" is up there as well. I so hoped they'd continue in that vein.

So much awesomesauce!

Just saw these dudes with Exist, Beyond Creation, Archspire, and Obscura! Dream concert to die for! It was fantastic!
That tour was lit. Perfect lineup ~

Every single band on this label has such astonishing music quality. For me, Inferi's Revenant was the best album of 2018. Love from India!
Did you listen to Rivers of Nihil's album?

Finally...another Indian Inferi fan! Should meet in the next few days at BOA.
Hi from Playa del Carmen
Former Vale of Pnath singer and former Enfold Darkness guitarist... Bound to be great!
And that Artificial Brain shirt to boot - Malcolm is a man of skill and taste.
Must be CGI, its the only explanation. I refuse to believe that humans could created such incredible music!
Favorite track from this beast of an album Revenant!
TAE is simply the best label for us tech heads
What about season of mist ?
I'm glad that these guys appeared on my recommended videos
The bassist is fucking next level

Lucky. My dad likes Black Sabbath but that's about it when it comes to metal, absolutely no way he'd enjoy death metal.

An ad on Instagram popped up with this song on it. Sounded really good so here I am

this day super energetic, with this great song! What a promising future this band has. Super Brutal...
Holy fuck. I didn’t expect those bass taps to happen. Shit is epic
They were amazing on this tour!
Seeing Mike and Mac's lead guitar work live rules so hard
Black Dahlia, step yo game up. These dudes are sick af
