I can imagine that this video is really useful and informative for people going to the uni of notts. I’m going Nottingham Trent but I’m staying at home which is a little different and I honestly can’t wait to vlog it. Also I was thinking it may be useful to some people if you make a campus tour video maybe? X
Ah thank you! Trent looks so fun 🤩 can’t wait to watch your vlogs! Oh definitely that’s such a good idea thank you 🥰 I did a sort of campus tour on the official university of Nottingham channel xx
this was so helpful thank you so much!! I’m going into year 13 this September so need to start thinking about which 5 uni’s I’d like to apply too x hope you enjoy your 2nd year!
Good luck in your last year of college! I’m off to Trent university and will be making so many videos about it so if you like Nottingham maybe you could consider Trent university as well! Xx
thank you for watching, I’m glad you found it useful! Ah I hope you have a fab year 13. There’s so many good unis out there, just go with your gut and I’m sure one of them will be perfect for you. Thank you Ava ❤️
i loved this video!!! so useful as i’ll be starting at nottingham in september to study languages! i was thinking of joining the veggie/vegan society but i need to have another look at what there is to offer ahaha x
Aw thank you Chloe!! Ahh that’s so exciting, I hope you have the best first year! Ooh that sounds cool. Plenty of veggie cafes in notts you’ll be sorted xx
Aw what a good video! I honestly did not know some of this information so this was very helpful! I am not much of a drinker/partier so the fact there are other things to do makes me feel a lot better haha. I am thinking of joining the Kayaking society, ballroom society, and my course society, I cannot think of the others right now haha. Its now literally 4 weeks away until I go! What societies did you join for first year? xxx
Thanks again Hannah, your comments always make me smile 🥰 yeah I’m actually going to do a video soon about all the affordable, non-drinking activities there are to do! Oh wow they sound cool, let me know if you join them and what they’re like. Wow that time will flyyy. I joined geogsoc and cathsoc, but have plans to join more in second year xx
@@MeganMahoney1 aww haha thank you so much 💖, it makes me smile when you post! Oh fabulous! I’ll look forward to that! Aw I will do definitely! And yeah hopefully societies will be a bit more accessible this year! Let me know which ones you join as well! Xx
i’m moving to university of Nottingham but staying in the city for accommodation hopefully it’s not too long to travel too and from so excited to be on the campus looks so good 😌
Ah that will be fun being right in the centre of all the action! Only 20 mins on the tram from the city to the campus, and I think it’s less than £2 :)
I have one question. Loneliness exists everywhere. If a person is coming alone from his country how can he adjust over here according to culture , weather , people in order to avoid loneliness at university of nottingham ?
This is just a general tip but try to be open and authentic because people are nicer than you think and youll make great friends by just being yourself
I saw your video on tips for Personal Statement and it helped. I have an admit from University of Exeter. How is this University rated among the other top schools in UK? Thank you!
Ah I’m glad! Pretty decent I think, it’s a Russell Group university! Have a look on league tables, though they’re not the most important thing when choosing a uni. The modules, campus, variety of things to do etc in my eyes are the main factors to look out for
Heyy, I am going to be an exchange student from Australia next semester! I want a catered college on the uni park campus, any reccs for the most social halls !? Thank youuux
if you’re a first year it’s free and you don’t have to sign up or anything, but if you’re second or third or not part of the subject, then go onto the uon societies webpage and search geogsoc and it’s a fiver x
So much! Mainly a way to interact with people with a similar interest. So if it’s a sport, you do that together, or if it’s a subject society, you might go to events or trips that relate to that. And then you do socials with the society which are fun and a way to make friends. They’re usually about £2 to join not much at all xx

Hi, I'm planning to go to Nottingham this fall and I want to take my car with me. Are they some accommodations that are individual and pet-friendly?
Im starting joining notts in jan as a post doc, you got any recomendations for student housing companys?
Can you make a video on living expense in Notts e.g off accommodation costs, food, entertainment and student jobs etc etc
That’s such a good video idea!! Yes yes 👍 thank you!

@@MeganMahoney1 Cool thanks! Is Russell Group equivalent to Ivy league in US?
Is there a video about Geography at uni of notts?
There is not yet but within the next few weeks there 100% will be!!
Heyy, I am going to be an exchange student from Australia next semester! I want a catered college on the uni park campus, any reccs for the most social halls !? Thank youuux
Can you still cook if you are in catered accommodation
you have a microwave, toaster, kettle and a fridge but that’s it!!
Hey Meg. How can I join the geography society and do I have to pay?

hi i'm gonna be starting at uon in september and i'm gonna be 22 when i start. do you think i'll be seen as too old? X
I don’t think so, I’m also going to UoN in Sept and I’m gonna be 20. Loads of people go to uni at different ages!
Heard the lectures are gonna be online this year
Oh no don’t say that can’t do another year of it 😭😭
