I don’t understand why everyone is going to bigger wheels and less sidewall on the tires. That combo can leave you stranded on the side of the road with a popped tire along with a bent wheel. To me it looks like a Civic fitted with wagon wheels.
Looks nice but with that MSRP on the fully loaded trim? You could also buy a Camry with a few options instead. Makes you wonder if the value proposition is worth it, but it depends on what your needs are and if you can find a dealer willing to co-operate on giving you a good price. Unfortunately, if you need a cheaper hybrid option you'll have to settle for the Corolla.
This is my ideal first car, at this moment in time the best compact car is probably the Corolla Hybrid, but it’s slow and boring while the Civic has a soul and is mid generation while the Corolla is most likely going to get a refresh next year.
The voice recognition problems are common in Quebec for folks who want their car systems in English. All the destinations, and road names are in French and the voice recognition library when in English won't recognize them. Switch the car to French and it works, so the language words are in the computer, but it won't access another language from the one it is set too. Lots of people around the world live in bilingual areas so this should be allowed with a software update. In Montreal, Ie ask for "de Maisonneuve" and the software set to English tries to match it with "maze on off".

All they need is Electric Steering to take out another fluid. That too would UP the reliability.
Amazing Review Chill and Funny, Nice this might be my new daily commute car😊, 49mpg and it’s not ugly or weird , Wish it had an e-boost button, get the hatch for sure, and $35k US is reasonable,
Lol the LeClerc selfie was great.
The bottom part of the front grill aka fish mouth makes it more in line with CRV from the international market (no useless silver box trims on the front - like the ones found in the US sport touring).
Honda Civics are the best compact sedans to drive. And now they have a hybrid version...Just pure awesomeness!
That makes the price range from $30k CAD base best case scenario to $45K CAD top trim worst case scenario. $30k 'acceptable' for a hybrid base, but still difficult pill to swallow when a base Rav4 hybrid just 3 years ago was $32k. Prices are crazy.
This is a compelling option, looks highly polished, and hits a lot of sweet spots.
Put a set of Muchelin CrossClimate 2s on it and you'll be good in the snow. No real need for AWD unless you live out in the boonies and drive in snowstorms.
Honda Civic is one of the best cars ever made in the automobile industry 💯
Maybe it’s just the way the mic recorded, but the hum when y’all put it in reverse has an almost harmonic quality, like a church choir
i absolutely hate the body color headlight panel but love everything else about this car. i wish they kept it as the black cladding. if i get this car i’d 100% repaint it
Kinda looks like the m340i in the front
I really like how the front looks. Rear is meh
The prior schnozz looks better. But this is a much better powertrain.
From Beluga to vacuum cleaner design inspiration.. The Beluga one will be iconic like Civic FD.
The first hybrid I've ever wanted
Great car. Price point too high with no spare. What is that all about? Wish the center monitor was a bit more built-in into the dash.
Literally the Crimson Chin!!
oh man this makes it a lot tougher to choose the SI. I love manual transmission...but more torque, quieter cabin and 50mpg?!? SI speaks to my heart, but hybrid speaks to my brain.
Anyone else in this predicament now that the 25 hybrid is out? What are your thoughts?
I’m leaving my SI for this, it just makes more sense
The reverse tone sounds like a freight train blowing its horn off in the distance. 😆
Honda can paint an entire scene with just a mere backup noise.
Yuri and Jakub meeting charles is just the Rosberg curse in 2024
thank you for testing the flip down visor! fingers crossed for the plug-in version...
I don’t understand why everyone is going to bigger wheels and less sidewall on the tires. That combo can leave you stranded on the side of the road with a popped tire along with a bent wheel. To me it looks like a Civic fitted with wagon wheels.
Thanks for reviewing in Montreal. We need review with all the potholes to test car reliability
The last thing I want is google tracking everywhere I go. Is there any way to block google?
Yea I believe so
I like that big bug catcher in the front.
Honda engineers are the best.
When a criticism is “too much low end torque” you know you have a winner.
Love the look of the sedan. One of the better looking modern Civics, shame there is no manual option.
I have the 2024 crv hybrid sport L and we luv it. Cant wait to pick up the civic hybrid
Never heard any reviews say front bumper is from 2022 nsx....it's awesome
The voice recognition problems are common in Quebec for folks who want their car systems in English. All the destinations, and road names are in French and the voice recognition library when in English won't recognize them. Switch the car to French and it works, so the language words are in the computer, but it won't access another language from the one it is set too. Lots of people around the world live in bilingual areas so this should be allowed with a software update. In Montreal, Ie ask for "de Maisonneuve" and the software set to English tries to match it with "maze on off".
Love that light blue color on the normal model! Can't wait they sell this in Japan!
As a Toyota guy I’ve always fancied the Civic
I would take the hatchback over the bigger Camry or the Prius because I want the better handling daily driver.
thanks guys for the review im from down town Montreal and looking for that car
We have this hybrid Civic in Brazil for over 1 year now. Sales have been really low, but it’s probably because Honda is asking the equivalent to $ 47,300 for one here.
The navigation does work in the gage cluster with CarPlay, at least it does in my 2024 Ridgeline, but you have to use Apple Maps which sucks.
Yes sorry that’s what we meant to say
@@TheStraightPipesit happens a lot on your minds when making this.
sO happy to see fiiiiiinally Honda civic in hatchback! AND hybrid! thank you for the video.
stop telling me I don’t need AWD. Have you ever seen “chains or AWD required” at mountain passes in the winter? I had a civic before with winter tires and for a person going snowboarding it’s NOT it.
Hmm I don’t think I’d take this up a mountain pass even with “awd” unless it’s a subie
The average, everyday driver does not need awd.
$43,900 I was just quoted almost 5K above Honda MSRP.
Love the MPG, love the HP/TQ, but I am disappointed that it's no longer compact. So huge! That said, the Hybrid Hatchback is best one for sure and it's not a CRV so it has that going for it too.
That intro hits hard!
