Here's a quick 1 minute video on Byleths combo game.

At about 80% on battlefield, you can up b an opponent on the top platform from the floor beneath and the true combo it into a buffered double jump up air for a kill confirm. Also, if you up b them on one of the side platforms at the same percent from the floor, you can true combo into a buffered double jump down air, this one doesn't kill but it's good damage

Yeah. It seems like surprisingly few people realize you can shorthop fastfall nair for combos out of shield as well, which is pretty cool. Landing nair into grab also seems underutilized. I did notice that sometimes the landing hit doesn’t connect. Anyone know why?
At 0-25ish% you can Nair into D-tilt into uptilt if you do it correctly
Decent combo game. Good. Byleth will probably be decent enough on tier lists to get some pro play representation.

Lots of these don’t work with DI, I’ll still try to rep them for a while tho

I found that if you feel the need to approach, neutral special cancel can be hard to challenge and is easy to approach with
That combo with the up B into down aerial attack was awesome!
The up b fstool setup is a really nice idea. Allows for more control when up bing them in the air above stage.
Nairo actually tested the Up-B to reversed Side-B, it's not true (you can DI out of it at almost any percent)
It's sad, but a lot of Byleth's combos are just nullified entirely by good DI, especially ones that rely on the Up-B

If you hit Jump at the apex of your Up B then it will true combo to Side B unless they DI in, so there's a 50/50 mix-up I guess

You can buffer Jump-Bair and that seems to hit everytime after about 10% through like 45%. Before 10% I haven't missed the side b though. Luckily people still don't know that they can DI that combo so I still hit the regular Side B out of it all the time. Especially online.

They aren't true sadly. You can DI in.
@@augustobs24 actually they can be true with you don't use down tilt and use the ground version of up-b.
@@krankees well instead of that being a combo it would just be one move with two parts

I'll be sure to practice these to where I can hit them all 10 times in a row. I feel like my issue with Byleth was that I didn't know what percents to go for what combos and what to follow up with after certain moves.

D tilt Nair drag down, d tilt rising nair, fair, side b - - - > 0-death combo if you get them far enough off the stage and if they have shite recovery
Down Tilt, Up B, Down Air.
Follow ups:
Missed tech, jab lock, to down smash. (Up to you really)
There is a chance that they will just launch back up after the dair. Which can be followed up by your choosing. Nair being one of the best.
Intermediate combos seems more difficult than pro combos
side B after up B isn't always true. Some can escape by DI'ing in towards Byleth

surprised to not see anything linking neutral air into jab combo. granted thats a bit more of an anti-air combo, should probably find a lead-in for it, maybe an up throw?

Not all of them are true. I saw Nairo test out the UpB to SideB combo and he discovered that you can avoid getting hit by the SideB if you DI in
Some of them do seem DI dependant, especially the neutral air ones

Just found that after the 1st combo (down throw to nair) you can finish with a F-tilt
Dude, the combos were cool but almost every single one of the "True combo" ones aren't, u can DI out of them or air dodge, but any way, they were prety cool
The counter is showing the combo rack up. That means that it is true. You can SDI out of most combos but thats true on most "True" combos.

UpB combos don't work btw. You can DI in the direction of Byleth and the angle is literally impossible to combo.

I managed to kill confirm at high % with upb(grounded) sideb because of knock back from the ground after ~150% you need to jump to connect it

ngl, I've used Byleth for so long without any help or tutorials, and all these moves are such beginner combos to me. If anyone is reading this comment for some reason, you guys don't need these little tutorials. Just grind out using the character by yourself and teach yourself your own combos, and you'll be all good. Also, when you make your own combos and go up against nerds who have studied every combo video and smash bros guide video in the world, you'll be able to surprise them with your custom moves.
I am picking up byleth for a tournament I have in about a month because my mains have a really bad MU against one dudes characters so I thought that I would look up some byleth combos and straight up these combos are the kind that I would teach my friends day 1 if they were trying to learn smash

On some heavyweights you can do a true 0-death combo with up B + nair repeating
Only on DK and only if they Airdodge after the first Up B + Nair.
I did get it on a DK once though. haha

The combo at 0:50 can be DI-ed out of if you DI in. It's not true.

How does the up-b > d-air work? Do u jump out of the up-b
Yea, buffer a jump after up B and then drift toward them and d-air. It’ll only work if they don’t DI or if they DI in. On some characters the d-air input might need to be slightly delayed to connect

Characters like sheik need an upgrade, byleth walks into smash doing 50% in two hit combos
@1:04 How do I do this when it wont allow me to go towards the Ryu to downair?
You can jump cancel the up b once you make contact with them in the air allowing you to control your air direction.
