  • Hello friends, today I am sharing 6 thrifty fall kitchen decorating ideas that I hope are an inspiration to you as we head into fall! There are so many beautiful, affordable decor options out there that I am sharing today, but what better way to start this video than with a delicious cup of tea?
I am so thankful to Buydeem for this amazing 6 in 1 tea maker! Recently I shared on Instagram that I have been trying to enjoy tea more and I was so thankful for all of your recommendations! Many of you recommended using a tea maker, so when Buydeem reached out with this easy to use, high end tea maker I was SO excited about this partnership!
I share a lot more about this incredible tea maker in the video of course, but as a busy momma, some of my favorite things about it are that it keeps tea warm for over an hour and it has 5 different cooking modes! #buydeem #buydeemteamaker #buydeemfoodie

This is not specifically for fall, but incorporates fall. A number of years ago, after Christmas, I purchased a large, artificial, evergreen wreath. It hangs on my front door. Then I have seasonal picks. Obviously at Christmas time I add red berries. For winter I add white berries and some twigs, Spring, I pop in some artificial tulips and daffodils. Summer I arrange small sunflowers throughout. Fall is time for some brightly coloured leaves in red, yellow and orange. I keep each season in a separate, large zip-lock bag. To these artificial picks I often add fresh flowers or variegated greenery from my garden. The sky is the limit in how creative you want to be. Although I am not a bow person, if you wish you can buy ribbon and make bows that coordinate with your theme.

Loose tea does make all the difference! Always remove the tea when the timer tells you it is finished or it may make it bitter. I owned a tea shop and jokingly consider myself a "tea snob " lol 😆

Beautiful ,calming decor. I love a real burning candle in a small chamberstick like your thrifted brass one. I have them in copper, brass, antique silver and bronze. I am always on the lookout for chambersticks when I am thrifting. And I do find boxes and bags of tapers that people donate. I also love the little emergency candles that are white. I burn the wick for a few seconds and display them in a small white pitcher like the one on your sink. Pretty and practical if the lights go out .

Great tips as always! I completely agree that DG can have some very affordable, pretty decor items. I purchased these cement birds that were half painted in crazy neon colors for $1 each. With some black paint and a little distressing these sweet birds are a favorite of mine. Love the diffuser in the crock - going to have to steal that great idea as I never would have thought of it! Love copper! I've found most of mine at estate sales. Yes, do make sure to remove your tea when the timer goes off or you will have very bitter tea. 💝 Also, Andrea, look for soy or beeswax candles. They are better for you than the ones made of paraffin.

I am going to jump in and comment about tea! I have always been a huge coffee drinker but over the last year it has began to burn my tummy and affect my blood pressure so I VERY reluctantly began my tea journey. Yorkshire Gold is the only tea on the market that is a suitable coffee replacement for me. It is so rich and holds milk/creamer without making it weak!! I love many wonderful flavors but Yorkshire Gold is, by far, my favorite! I love this maker so much! I hate having to fish my tea bag out! And keeping it warm is so handy. I feel bad to abandon my water kettle though. Thanks for sharing it.🧡🍂🧡

Last year I used a branch with maroon leaves that had dropped off a tree in my yard. It became the focal point in my living room. I plan on looking in my yard and down the street to find it's replacement. I also bought a white wired acorn filled with dried roses, scorns, and bark. This year I'm going to add essential oils to it, per your suggestion. ;)

I have such a hard time with vision and knowing how to put things together but I know my style when I see it and I just love your home! Curious if you could pick your countertops (I think they were that when you bought the house), if you would stay with the darker countertops or do something different in that kitchen. Our kitchen is a very similar galley kitchen and the laminate countertops are falling apart. I just cant decide whether to go with a lighter color or black but I cant imagine your kitchen without the black 😅

I live in Ireland and we have Deals and Mr Price which is similar to your Dollar Store, and as you say, if you think creatively, you could incorporate some of their products in a tasteful way in your home.

Yes we have £ shops in the UK too but they aren’t as good as what I see in some of the us RUclipsrs videos. We also have £ stretcher which isn’t £1 but it’s under £5 or £10… if you ask me, they are not that impressive. I’m fascinated by your dollar stores. I suppose we always love what we don’t have but in this case our £ shops aren’t as good as your $ stores lol 😂

Mrs Dan Dare here. Also from the UK and totally agree. Also feel I'd like a good nose around the target dollar spot. Infact I'd love a look around target full stop!
