I'll be running my first marathon in May in Calgary. I just picked up a pair of Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 yesterday, and they'll be my race shoe.

The Deviate Nitro 2 is probably the best, most versatile shoes I own. Absolutely loving it as well. Bold statement: I think it’s better than the Endorphin Speed.

I found the “shoe tubers” that were and are pushing other shoes such as the nova blast three as shoe of the year and Saucony endorphin Speed three are working and collaborating with those shoe companies at running events. That’s why I trust Seth so much. No collaboration, just straight honest reviews. We may not always agree, but most of the time he is spot on. I know he was about the NB3, just seemed lot a lot of shoe on foot when running. I returned them and got the PDN2, definitely no regrets.There are some good shoes out there but the PDN2 just works better for me.
QOD: Signing up for the Singapore Marathon! Just moved to Singapore and needing to get used to running in the heat and humidity and signing up for a Marathon seemed like the perfect way to help me turn that door knob and get out there!

Welcome to Singapore. 2XU half marathon on 16 April if you want to ease into the conditions.
I've just run a Half last weekend in the ASICS EDGE+, it was great and I think I'm going to go full distance in it for Paris Marathon in April. Also booked London (3 weeks after Paris, so take it easy) and Berlin Marathon and will have to see about shoes for that closer to the time.

I'm 6'6" 195 and I love this shoe after 22 miles. To me it's easily better than the EP3 mostly due to fit, stacks up nicely with the AF2 at $275, and is easily worth the extra $25 to upgrade from the VF2.
The looks will be polarizing but I think it looks great from the top down view which is what I see when wearing it so thus the most important imo.

I can't imagine buying a pair of Pro 3s while legitimately pinching pennies. Good quality food or super shoes? Clear choice. Something like the Atreyu Artist would be about top shelf on a truly tight budget. But, who knows, maybe we'll all see a great discount on these eventually.
The Manchester 🇬🇧 marathon will be my first marathon of 2023, and trying to go one better than last year.
So far, I like what I have seen about the Endorphin pro 3. I am about to start testing them pretty soon.
I don’t think it’s an upgrade compared to the endorphin pro 3, but the price is way up there. It also looks a little too wonky, so unless you really need the breathability (which is what I care least about in a running shoe), this is a pass
Hello there! Yes, Seth, I do have a halfmarathon and marathon coming soon! Halfmarathon is in town called Omagh, here in Northern Ireland, where I live. It's March 26th. Then I go back to my home country, Poland 🇵🇱, to race in Krakow marathon on April 23rd! My race day shoe is going to be the endorphine Pro 3!
QOD registered to do the Chicago and NYC marathons this fall. Can’t wait, there’s nothing more exciting than running a major! The Next%2 is the gold standard for me so far as they’re very hard to beat but always looking for alternatives so maybe this year I’ll try something new
QOD: signed up for Edinburgh Half in May and then Frankfurt Marathon in October (only done virtual London before - first international race). Got big year making sure i’m ready fir the big one.
I think price should be removed from rating. Everyone has their own budget. Plus overtime they become discounted down making it less relevant.
Running the Pittsburgh Marathon in May. As an avid Saucony user (Triumph 20's are amazing!) I was excited to see these Saucony Elite's and planned to use them for that race but after seeing the layout and technology I'm not really too impressed especially from the $275.00 price point (These prices are getting absolutely ridiculous). The tech really reminds me a ton of the Adidas Adios Pro lineup. The "Fingers" on the Elite are the same idea as the "Rods" from the Adios, not to mention the outsole is almost identical to the Adios. I'll wait for the Vaporfly 3's and Adios Pro 4's before buying the elites.
Just makes me sick how expensive shoes are getting. It doesn’t cost these companies much to make these shoes but their mark up is astronomical

UK Boston Marathon and the Berlin Marathon! I am also registered here in the UK for the Milton Keynes 20 mile race in March as a little warm-up.
QOD: Signed up for the Paris and Hamburg marathons in April. Then in the fall Berlin followed by Dublin. I haven’t decided on the shoes as of yet but I’m leaning towards Hoka/Saucony.

Interestingly, the Saucony rep said on running warehouse's channel that the new foam is a softer compound than that of the Pro 3
Most reviewers are saying it is a firmer ride.
San Fran Marathon and Brooklyn Half! Thinking of running in the Endorphin Pro 3. But honestly, so many shoes to pick from...
Excellent shoe and review Seth!!! I did not think I was going to like this shoe after receiving it, but boy oh boy was I surprised. Ended up winning my 60-65 AG in (6) 5K races and set new PRs in 3 of them with the Saucony Elite. Previous PR last year was wearing the Nike Alphafly. Very good bounce and responsiveness for me. Definitely only for racing. To me, these feel stiff and like bricks on my feet when running at slower speeds, aka 8 - 9 m/m.
Spring - Barcelona Marathon but injury has disrupted my training block. Autumn - Great North Run (biggest half marathon in Europe) in Newcastle, UK followed by Chicago Marathon in October
Huntington Beach Marathon and I'll be happily running in my Saucony endorphin pro 3's
I can see just by looking at the rubber coverage on both shoes, that the Endorphin Pro 3 seems a much better option for runners that overpronate. The buyer of this Elite shoes better be sure that they run in perfect neutral form. Otherwise, the shoe might not contain your pronation and you will not run as fast as you thought you would ,the shoe will last even last time and with a chance of injury in the ankles.
QOD I’ve got my first half coming up in may the Oak Bay Half followed by the Victoria Full Marathon, also a first for me in October. Both on Vancouver island. Currently planning to use the Endorphin Speed 3 for the half and leaning towards the Endorphin Pro 3 for the full. From what I’m gathering the new Ellite is better suited for sud 3 hours runners while the pro has a more forgiving ride for those of us aiming to go sub 4.
Round the Bay Road Race -30km. Going to rock Endorphin Speed 3's. Might pick up the Pro 3's instead.

QOD: 2XU Compression Run 21km (Singapore) in April. Chicago Marathon in October. Looking to squeeze another couple of 21km races in between 2XU and Chicago. Possibly Gold Coast (Australia) in July and something in the UK late August/early September. Aiming for a half marathon good for age qualifying time for NY and a Boston qualifying time in Chicago. Bring it on DGR!
After the first 10 miles on them the hill part that has no outsole was damaged real bad that’s sad cause it’s a good shoe!

Little Colorado River Trail Half Marathon in the Grand Canyon region of the great Navajo Nation on February 4th! Racing in either the Naked Innovations T/r or the Salomon S/Lab Genesis depending on conditions. Then it’s on to the Badwater-Cape Fear 50 M the next month.

Curious if it's common for most people to go a half size up in their running shoes vs. TTS to account for any swelling and added room in the toe box? I've always bought TTS but seem to always get some beat up toes.
QOD: Registered for Toronto Spring Marathon
TTS in a running shoe is .5 size up from foot size (brannock length or scan)… shoes and shapes tend to be all over the place, but what’s more important is having at least a thumbnail width of room in front of your longest toe while standing and putting weight on the foot. That’s how the shoes are meant to fit for flex points, cushioning, stability elements etc.

I love how this guy says he's going to pull companies accountable for an elite shoe with carbon fiber supercritical foam and all of this technology in it. Yet he's going to charge nearly $70 for a singlet 🤔

Seth at 9:28 the weight you listed is wrong. Nike Vaporfly Next% 2's weight is 6.9oz, not 7.9oz as you listed.
I can't imagine a world in which I pay £280 ($336, wtf?) for a running shoe.

I really enjoyed the Pro 3's in my marathon early this month. Saucony Speed and Pro series though the past few years have just been incredible. Next Race up is Feb 11 the Florida Half Marathon
QOD: Rio de Janeiro Marathon (I am racing the half marathon) in June using the Endorphin Pro 2 and hopefully New York Marathon in November (depending on the lottery).

I run my half marathon and marathon races in Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 or 3 (my favorite shoes of all times). I will run the Cowtown half marathon, this time, in Saucony Endorphin Pro 2 as a test.

Oklahoma City Memorial half on April 30th. It will be my first half.
I had just the opposite experience with wet or even damp pavement. Did ok on concrete (sidewalks) but on pavement I got lots of slippage especially when pushing the pace (> 6:30 mile)

Racing Delaware Marathon in April in Wilmington, and Dawn2 Dusk 2 Dawn Track Ultra 50k in May in Sharon Hill, PA outside of Philadelphia. I race in the Hoka Bondi and Bondi X. Need the extra cushion for my left knee. Don’t underestimate the Bondi. I run marathons under 3 hours. So you can run fast in them. 😊 🏃🏽♂️

I have an upcoming PT test that consist of a 1.5mile run and a 300 meter sprint. I currently run east and long runs in the Asics Superblast and love it, but looking for something a little faster for this PT test. Any recommendations?

Derby (UK) Half Marathon in June. Deferred from last year. Running in either Nike VF v2 or Puma Deviate Nitro Elite. No Marathon for me in 2023. I suffered a serious DVT last year. Just trying to get back consistency throughout this year and aim for a marathon in 2024.

Seth (and anyone else with insight), I am having trouble finding a true marathon racing shoe. I have flat and wide feet. I love training in the Hoka Mach 4 and 5 (6 marathons in them). The Endorphin pro 3 and speed 2/3 as well as the alphafly hurt my arches as soon as I lace them on. Help me out! What carbon fiber plated shoe would you recommend for me?
I’m doing the UK Cambridge Half-Marathon on 5th March in the Endorphin Pro 3s. I’ve trained in the original Speeds for my intervals and used those for a 5k pb. I’ve only just got my Pro 3s and not used them yet.
I’m hoping for 1:35 in Cambridge as my A goal of sub 1:30 is not possible now due to illness and work interrupting training.
QD: Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, MN!! I won a pair of ASICS Metaspeed Sky+ and got a 10k PR in my first run in them, so I’m excited to take them for 26.2!
QD: Gopher Attack Marathon and I have a fresh pair of the OG Next%'s. I still think the Pro 3 may be just as good as the Next% 2's but not the OG. I have been using the Pro 3's for all my workouts and really like them. I would buy another pair.
QOD: The Liverpool half marathon 26 March. Prob wearing Next %. Consistently use Endorphin Speed 2 for tempo and speed work 👍🏼
Registered for the Banff HM in May then Victoria Marathon in October! I’m planning to race with the Endorphin Pro 3 and train in the Speed 3 and Triumph 19/20
QOD: Berlin Marathon in September. Live in Australia so have a half marathon in Geelong in April and a half marathon in Melbourne in July. Just before departing for Germany in September there is Athletics Victoria half marathon as part of winter season so will run this AV half marathon also as a tune up for the marathon.
Running the Archie 55k @ Mt Buller, Victoria Australia. Second Ultra in my Norda 001’s and loving them! Great review of the Elite 👍
Alphafly 2 is $275 and a lot of people argue that the first Alphafly is faster. Endorphin Elite looks legit! Saucony holding it down & making a big statement.

The fact that initially you can’t pick between this and the vaporfly next% 2 is quite dameing really
You can get the vapourfly for less then half the price of the elite what a rip off
Hopefully it doesn’t sell out because that will only encourage them to keep raising the prices
It Doesn’t bother me if it do sell out either because I won’t be buying them at that price
