My local bus company have announced that from the 1st September they won't be operating the route that I go on every week and instead another bus company with be taking over that route. Great video by the way mate
A B7L off fleet!? It seems like just yesterday when they were the new kid replacing aging buses in every city of the UK. Crazy to see them now the ones being disposed off and won't lie I'll miss them. Hopefully they'll still be running around for smaller companies, great content as always :D
We have some of these on 04 plates. Just like this one you’re driving, they certainly have ‘character’ what with all the bangs and rattles and the overly loud beep of the indicators! Good video as always.
Lovely buses, Shaun. We've got 10 in Eastern Counties at the moment along with a surviving Scania L94 Solar! The Eclipses are way better to drive though. 66344 is MENTAL!!!
Hey!, me and my friend saw your earlier, we was on the X78 and i saw you switching drivers!!! If i wasnt on the bus i would of asked for a photo! It was at the Interchange Rotherham
I think think the main issue with these is the corrosion i had one on the 38 between meadowhall and Hillsborough where I had to stop in shirecliffe after a passenger reported a hole in the wheel arch but I did get 69247 as a replacement so I caught up quite a bit
Another great video Shaun 👍🏻, Like you say shame these 02 plate beasts are going, Before you know it the alx 400's will be going and the plaxton presidents too in the next year or 2 so i'm sure you'll want a few more video's of them before they go off fleet, Hope your well though mate and i'll catch you soon buddy 👍🏻
Steven Cartlidge First Kernow down in Cornwall still have a fair few 51-52 plate tridents running, mostly on school routes to Truro College. They got a load of new E400MMCs brand new in late 2016/early 2017 and late 2018 which reduced the average age of the fleet significantly though. First ran a sizeable fleet of late 1970s Bristol VRTs in Cornwall up until December 2006, and more recently had a few 1993 Volvo Olympians running until late 2017.
I do like riding on older buses. It will be a shame to see a large number of the 51-52 plate Dennis Trident/Plaxton President buses down in First Kernow leaving in April 2020. Some of them are older than me!
Always like the Volvo B7L, we had them at Larbert when I worked with First and a couple for a few years at stagecoach Tain, all been replaced with scania sand god awful enviro 200, 300 and 400
Stoke on trent have loads of these buses left. They are on loads of routes. 4/4A. 6/6A. 101. 11. 12B. 3/3A. 32. And some times on route 5. So they place a decent role here in stoke on trent.
Beautiful and very scenic run! First would probably save quite a lot of money if, they are buses placed on the withdrawn/disposal list, asked staff beforehand if they wanted to own them for personal use or for preservation. Does it cost a lot to dispose of a bus or send it to the scrap yard?
@Chiltern Transport Productions I’m not too sure. The only one I’m aware of being sold on is 66314. 66304 and 66311 are currently in service in Worcester though.
I dont understand why furst never gave the old volvo and scania wrights a full reburd chassis as well , i used to love going to school and home in the B10bles and the N113CRL's where just plain awesome flying machines , first just couldnt be bothered looking after there equipment and so they scrap it
I havent driven a single deck volvo eclipse for around 10 years now...!!! I remember the older ones had more of a kickdown in 7.3 litre capacity compared to the newer 9 litres!
Hi Shaun from Singapore, Can you please put the VOLVO B7L Bus in a Ship and send it to Singapore so that Singapore bus driver can try the VOLVO B7L Bus please? And please don't scrap the VOLVO B7L Bus Please? Singapore got the VOLVO B8L Double Decker Bus.
Great video mate. I love b7l’s and b10ble’s. Keep up the good work. 👍
Im proud of your driving

I love this video!
Epic video as always Shaun. Hope you ok & having a good week 🚌👍🏻😃😊
Thabks, I'm fine how you doing this week
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver no worries Shaun. It good you ok. I'm ok today 😀😀
Nice to hear the old ZF Ecomat, shame the new ZF buses don’t really make any sounds now
Bobby the bird isn’t that in Glasgow or Livingston or something
Bobby the bird probbaly until recently due to new city centre emission standard
Ecolifes can also make sounds, just not the distinctive howl. For example here in Helsinki we have some 2020 VDL Citeas with loud Ecolife.

Sad to see them go. We're losing all the good buses now

Nice!

great video i be glad to see the back of these as i once got trapped on one and had to climb out of the firer exit

I imagine they get paid for it, can't see it being much thou
Nice video mate, any chance of some more B7RLE videos? I know you already done one :-)
Yeah no worries can't get a few more
For an Eclipse, its rather quiet. Not too much rattling
It really wasn't that bad this one
I can't believe streetlites are replacing these
Lovely bus and awesome video! Have a great day Shaun :)
Also quick question, what's your intro music called?
Thanks mate n god I really can't remember maybe try Shazam ??
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver That's fine mate don't worry, I'll see if I can find it on that :)
*What a beautiful British roads! By the way, I want to ask you a question. Are you working on the bus during the COVID-19?*
What’s your intro song called
Leicester’s 22 B7L’s are also being scrapped/sold on very quickly. It’s a shame as they are nice buses to travel on despite the rattling.

Yeah definitely a Volvo fan

Wow 10 years really bet it would make a nice change to you to get behind the wheel of a few older buses
What music is that at the. Start of video
I'm not 100% sure what it is
Do you ever drive the X78 route?
Very rarely but when I do I absolutely enjoy it
Yeah it is a lovely route and has been going many years. Mainline operated the X78 route before first.
That's some bone shaker !!
But I miss those buses a lot.
where was the old girl being taken to?
The rail enthusiast of today hart hill for a 29a
Where is this now? parked in the depot withdrawn?
Yes parked at the depot now
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver Have they started taking parts off it?
@@subscriberswithoutanyvid-ew4mo a few yes but most are intact
Why is it for disposal?
I'm going to guess there getting ready for Sheffield's clean air thing

What is it like being a bus driver.
Its great
Shell prob end up down with us in cymru lol
There marked for disposal but tbh I really like these buses there's always bags of power when you need it
