Everything you said about being a mom at the beginning and how it can get overwhelming as a stay at home mom resonates with me. I feel the same way at times. Some days are definitely harder than others. I’ve just recently started to reset my routine and wake up before my kids are up so that I can have time to myself and it’s made a huge difference. I have time to get things ready for the day and also have my morning cup of coffee and read. 🤍
I'm manifesting healthy Halle for you as well! One thing that has really helped me (someone who has ADHD tendencies & major anxiety) I have planned out my day almost to the minute on a google calendar. So I say this because you mentioned how hard it is for you to create a routine. I know that each day might look different whether it be a bad self image/mental day, migraines, responsibilities, etc. but it has truly helped me stay organized, accountable, help with self discipline, productivity, time management, etc. I'm only saying this because I have seen such a difference from constantly being overwhelmed to the point where I don't know where to start so then I don't do anything and then I start to feel bad because I didn't do xyz, to feeling much more satisfied and empowered. Either way, you're doing the best you can and I'm proud of you! So glad you're back
I tried that too with my adhd, but my time blindness is so bad that i can't plan ahead. I never know how long i will take for a chore. Any tips on how you do it, if you don't mind me asking ?
@@marinsskii omg hi! So I started with basic things like what time I want to get up, what my work hours are (I work form home so having a schedule is crucial for me), what time I want to start cooking dinner, and what time I want to be in bed and then filling in the smaller things from there (brush my teeth, walk my dog, shower, eat lunch, etc.) Obviously day to day looks a little different but I started with the things that I knew were almost constants and then filled in between. (For my cooking dinner I have slotted for 1 hour and 20 minutes - which could take longer or shorter but knowing "okay around 6:30 pm I need to start thinking about cooking what meal I want".) I hope that helps! I can be more specific but I think starting out with the larger basic things will definitely help start the process! Also, having the notifications on and reminders before the "event" help keep me on track because I have an Apple Watch and it's a good physical and visual reminder. (I also have a day where I focus on laundry and a separate day for deep cleaning - this keeps my apartment from getting out of hand, but you can easily take 20-30 minutes to do a daily clean up depending on your household. It's just me and my fiancé & dog so once a week is perfect for me. :) ) One last thing, not being too hard on myself if I am behind in my "schedule" or don't get to something. We are our biggest critics and I am personally trying to be kinder to myself, so if you do follow this advice, remember to be kind to yourself ❤
I can't say 'oh i relate sm' - i don't have kids, but the fact that i am also struggling with meal planning, taking supplements, laundry and god knows what else with no kids!!! - just proves that you are doing great job, keep it up, you are amazing, and even if sometimes we skip days and stuff - no need to worry. We'll manage, we'll go through this because we have the goal to be healthy and happy for us and for our loved ones. I just want to hug everyone who needs a hug or support. Thank you so much for this content.
I have adhd and autism and I'm a mom of 4. I stopped working when I had my last baby 2 years ago and I really feel you. Routines help me a lot. I need my routines. Take care. Great video
So happy you're back! Thank you for being so honest about your mental health, that takes courage. Just give yourself grace, girl. One day at a time ❤ To your kiddo, hi, I'm Ashli 🥰
I missed having a new video from you! I have been in a book slump but also just a life slump for the past couple months and watching this helped me find the motivation to try and get back on track
its always so good to hear from you Hal! I always love watching your videos and to hear how your reading journey is going. We missed you but we know you are busy and working so hard. Keep slaying mama!
This is so funny I was just thinking while I was watching the last book video how much I would love a regular weekly vlog!!! Yay! This is so exciting! ❤✨
Yessss missed watching a video from you. Do NOT beat yourself up for not uploading! I’ll always patiently wait for a video no matter how long it takes ❤❤
@@HalJones thats great! i just wanted to say that i also really struggle with adhd, but im only 14 and i have no idea how to deal with it! ive only recently been diagnosed so if you have any tips i would love to know xxx
@@obsessedb-h I honestly wish I had more tips!! I feel like I’m still in the beginning stages of actually trying to help myself with it instead of just accepting the struggle lol so I’ll definitely be sharing things I’m trying and that are either working or not working for me as I go! 🫶🏼

i know you got a lot on your head right now but maybe for in the future, perhaps thinking of starting a podcast? i would definitely love hearing you yap about everything there is to talk about!
I’ve been waiting for ur video! Nice to see you again. Btw, what camera do you use? And as an adhd fellow, I was wondering how you’ve decided to have kids, because I feel stressed so much just by myself and I can’t imagine having someone else around all the time
I use the Sony Zv-e10!! and I'm honestly overwhelmed and overstimulated a lot but I have so much support from my husband and family that help so much and also having hobbies to give you an outlet helps so much too!! and just accepting that being a little overwhelmed and overstimulated is just part of your life for a while until they get older because I feel like it is to an extent unavoidable! but so worth it (:
your kids are cute and i only mean this with the best intentions when i say this: please keep them out of the internet. i know y'all don't wanna hear what and how many sick people there are in the world, but they exist and they will use a to us very innocent video for their benefit. as sickening as it is, please watch some documentaries and information videos about this topic, there are a lot on youtube. as i said, i only mean this with the best intentions.
“bro mom… i love you” 😂😍🩷🩷 so sweet
