I’m still at the beginning of the story, and already my suspicions came up when a “wife” shows up and the deceased can’t say one way or another if it’s true. Let’s see if it’s unfounded or I was on the right trail.
Ludicrous plot ! Typical of later Simenon period. He knew the books would sell so couldn't be bothered spending time or effort on a plot.....his fans on here seen to like it so.maybe he was right !!
I care about justice and that is one of the reasons I love (some) mystery series. However, the outrageous class privileges shown in this story made Maigret a monster. He committed a felony against an innocent man which caused his death. He never turned himself in for grand theft and illegal surveillance, but just pathetic attempts to make comfort himself about it.
Thank you for posting all these chefs-d'œuvre 🙏
I listen to these again and again. Thank you!
Definitely one of me top favorite radio dramas ever!
Stumbled upon this channel and I'm loving it! Really scratching my Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot itch.
Thank you ❤
No cat today
Many thanks 👍👏🇬🇧

What is that fabulous blues playing please???
It is called Blue Mood by Robert Munzinger
Thank u excellent!
I look for these.
Did he say adapted for radio by Betty Davis?
I don't think it's Bette Davis.
Errors exempted it is Betty Davies 😊
@@sheibanineda2488 You may be right. There's a Betty Davies listed as a writer at IMDb. Very few credits, but then IMDb doesn't list radio credits.
Love this music. Can anyone tell me what it is?
It is called Blue Mood by Robert Munzinger
@@joeydell thank you. The music and the voices, I'm off to sleep in no time.
@@susanleishman8422 I get so engrossed in the story I can't go to sleep!

I disliked Maigret in this story immensely. He was a privileged criminal posing as a police man.
Where’s the kitty?
Not going to swear to it but window behind, the one that is on the ground floor, but higher than the others
Behind the man with the suitcase on the top most left windowsill. As far as I can tell...
Thank you 😊
Thought that was a plant
I thought it was on the peak of the roof behind the bowler hat. Hard to say.
