Good on you Andy. So many people would just bin it and order a new one.

Thanks Fred. I may have located an element but it is rated 220V. I think it should still work on 120V but I am getting confirmation now.

@SNAKE RADIO CUSTOMS Yep, I can only find 220V elements so far. The actual element is available at Alibaba but I need to buy 1000 pieces. Another place I would need to order 100.

Congrats on the repair. Did the element fail or was it a connection issue?

How did you remove the top, the digital controls and display panel?

I cannot recall but if you study th eunit closely and slowly, you'll figure it out. I am so sorry I cannot recall. It has been a while my friend. I still have the unit. If need be, I will revisit the unit. Let me know if you get stumped on this.

they don’t split because there is a nut in the center of the fan to attach it to the shaft of the motor

If your referring too the panel with the control panel it just pops off. Literally just watched it to find that out so I could clean the intake. Thank you good sir.

Andy I need to replace my fan as 2 of the blade edge looks like little needles instead of a blade tip which is causing a slight wispy noise. However after trying stores like screw fix and even eBay I cannot for the life of me find a teal precision fan or even a compatible fan to replace mine. Any ideas? TY

I would think that any fan that will mount and clear the housing would work. I suspect your blades are plastic...
My blade is a solid piece of tin metal. I am thinking that you might be able to rmove the fan section and carefully use metal snips and cut a new fan out with good measurement and cutting. It would be difficult to balance I guess but I am not sure where you'd find a replacement fan.

@@Tobinindustrial thanks m8 but my fan is metal, standard. I doubt you could have a plastic fan 1cm from an oven element!

I don't understand what caused your blades to turn to needles so I assumed it was just plastic. Can the metal blade be reconditioned?

Dunno. It’s on the end of 2 blades, metal is 1mm of jet black then the little pins sticking out of what should be just a sharp end of a fan blade.
      Really odd.
