    I'm an NC State fan (really since 1972) I have been wondering over the recent years how the lack of March Madness success was sitting with UK fans. UK has won just three games at the Final Four since the 1998 ....While UConn, UNC, Duke and Kansas have tallied plenty of Final Four success over the same period. The sport is better when UK and Indiana put powerful teams on the court

    He was a great recruiter, esp of the 1 & done crowd, but that ship had sailed bout 5 yrs ago.

    I live in Ky been a fan my whole life ! He’s not who you think he is !!! He’s a great person ! Great giving person but he didn’t do what we wanted him to do is keep a winning program !!! Keep us on top !!!! It’s a circus ! Please don’t over pay him like we did ! We gave him a life time contract ! Everything changed ! Fat cat !! Lost his way got distracted by money and power ! Would not change his way coaching ! Any other coaches in the nation that had the talent that he had would’ve won three or four championships!

    If Cal would've made necessary adjustments like also drafting players committing to stay so he could develop leaders. Team of 18 yrs olds cannot hang with veteran Sr./Jr. led teams because they lack leadership and development. You'd think a coach might've figured that out several years ago and made critical adjustments, but no. Strange that UK fans figured it out years before Cal which is a big reason why fans wanted him gone. It got annoying watching and hearing the same old excuse from coach windbag every year. I'll bet he finally wakes up and makes that necessary change with Arkansas though.

    Cal will be very motivated for a few years at Arkansas. The first return to Rupp will be Defcon 1 for Cal and the Razorbacks. Hopefully he will beat down Kentucky bad early next season, because as soon as Cal can tell himself he showed those Kentucky fans, he will be back to golf with his billionaire friends and ex-presidents and parties at Drakes place. Ultimately Cal will never change, because it is always about Cal.

    Coach Calipari is going to Arkansas because he’s getting a less money per year but getting more in IL money. I guarantee you he will get them a new facility get some big-time recruits in there make a run and within probably three years he will retire. He’s only going there to fix his ego because he only cares about his image. He’s always been about his image. Fix image and retire.

    • @tdoss00
      @tdoss00 7 месяцев назад +10

      We have some of the best facilities hands down in the nation. With a huge expansion that was completed only a couple years ago. Unlike Kentucky who hasn’t heavily invested in their facilities in over a decade. I agree he will retire by the end of his contract, but he will further set us up for success and make hiring a top quality replacement after his departure that much easier. WPS

    • @krisbrown4761
      @krisbrown4761 7 месяцев назад +1

      We don't need new facilities lmfao. Arkansas facilities are significantly nicer than Kentucky's. They have one of the best athletics facilities in the entire country. I also highly doubt he retires in years. Especially if he starts to see major success again.

      The tension between fans and Cal is potent. I don't think it's a stretch at all. As a UK fan, I fear fans pushing Cal out like they did Tubby Smith will result in another dud like Billy Gillespie. Not many coaches would prefer the pressure of coaching UK over where they currently are.

    I'm just afraid he's not actually coming here and it seems most folks are discussing if he's still any good, what will he do here and such. This is taking way too long to develop in my book and I don't like it one bit! I hope we don't make fools of ourselves with this. I have no questions about his ability but just questions about his intentions. hope I'm wrong.

    It's about the overamplified coach and player stars on the way to the NBA. What is lacking is the team. Team play and the end goal of a team win is not part of the deal. Just my observation here. Wish him the best. He has done a lot for the community. Scott Drew would be a good choice for me.
