I'm always looking forward to your tutorials when new features are released. The way you teach and explain things seems to mesh well with the way my brain works.
Thank you , that was very helpful. I am eager to watch a tutorials explaning the differences bewtween xparticles and c4d particles . I mean the advantages and disadvantages of both plugins or features. me too I am waiting forthe liquid in c4d .
You can use rigid bodies with particles. For using your own geo as a particle. Create a cloner with the geo you want to be as a child, Set the mode to "object" in the cloner, and use the particle group as the object.
I think Blender really put the pressure on all major 3D software developers----not just C4D. But I'm so glad Maxon is rising to the challenge. The features that have come over the past 2 years have been incredible.
I am curious how they will solve a liquid sim. An entirely particle based system would probably inferiour to FLIP. But FLIP is not really particle based. I hope they add FLIP nevertheless. It would be another step for Cinema 4D to become the full monty.
They do the same with pyro. Released with a "minor" 2023.1 update. But i think this is the correct aproach. I prefer well tested features released when are ready.
If you use the cloner to create geometry that should work. Other than that maybe Arnold has a tag similar to the redshift object tag. I am not familiar with Arnold.

I completely agree 👍🏻
Thanks for the kind words!
Two tutorials in a day! Thanks!
It wasn't planned, but I enjoy working with the new features!
Great explanation to a longly awaited feature set
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the tutorial, how to emit objects instead of particles? There is no "Show objects" option like the old version.
were you able to figure this out?
@@vatop1304 No unfortunately

Another great tutorial, thanks for sharing.
You are very welcome!
Merci
Great!
That's awesome but can we use rigid body in those particles and how can I see my custom particle obj on viewport like before..any idea?

@@BTB3D yea i saw on cineversity. Thanks
looking forward to see more on this 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for the video!
My pleasure!
Excelente!
Exciting!
Do you think it will help with fluid sims?
It would not surprise me at all if those came out soon.

I agree. More competition is better and hopefully they do something about how expensive it is.
Yea true I learned c4d in university and I love it before 1 year and now cuz its very expensive for me I used blender
Thanks great, Tutorial
Glad you liked it!
show object is not showing in basic emitter Cinema 4d 2024

The fact they have a system that can work with so many particles at once and on screen is a huge step towards it.
@@BTB3D I guess you have missed the point of my comment, because I never said it doesn´t
Maxon really spoiled us with this release!
I almost wonder if this was supposed to be the big feature in 2024 and it wasn’t quite ready.

Do I have to use Redshift?
You do not, however there are different render options depending on the renderer you use.
@@BTB3D Great! I just don't have the time or render power for Redshift all the time! :)
How can I show/display a self-designed object/particle shape as a particle?
You can use the cloner (clone onto the particle group and use multi instance mode) or the RS Object tag.
@@Havealot thank you for your answer / idea! I will try
It works :-) Again thank you!

Hi nice tutorial, you don't know how i can render particle with Arnold Render ?)

Why i can't find this on my 2024 3.0
How to emitt from emitter platonic for example?
You need to use the Mesh Emitter
@@BTB3D shoud I use a xpresso?
They should provide an indie version. It's awfully overpriced now compared to Maya or MAX indie which is a full featured btw.
They absolutely should. They have a student version, but its a pain to renew.
