- Hey guys! In this new video series we take a look at each of the TTD Team players equipment setup, why they use it and get an insight into each players game. In this first episode we've got Tom The Frog.
Tom's setup is a STIGA Cybershape Carbon, with the DNA Hybrid Hard rubbers on both sides of his bat.

Frogs improved a lot with these rubbers for sure. He is a lot more aggressive than before. Nice vid guys
It's crazy how much better Founder has gotten since he started doing reviews!
I mean that guy plays table tennis all the time and got literally pro player resources for training.
5:17 and now What happened guy is in the TTD video! Legend! 🔥🤣
this is adam's property 🙂
Fantastic new series! I’m sure many people (including me) have wanted this for a long time. Great job guys!
What Tom said about having a little slower equipment is absolutely true. It gives you confidence in your game, what can make you create even faster balls, since you really move through the ball and gives you security in your passive shots, which is necessary, since we can not play attack all day long.
Finally! I'm the guy who's been asking for the whole TTD team equipment review since February.
I actually rewatched your livestream to find out what equipment everyone was using. Thanks a lot for listening to our questions and making a video about it :)
Love this series idea, and props to Editor! Obvs the rubbers are the main thing to talk about, but can Frog drop some text about the cyber shape and the interplay with the rubbers and his game?
Great idea for a video series! I would have loved to see more discussion of the cybershape blade. It seemed like the focus was predominantly on the rubbers, and the blade got completely overshadowed. It would be nice if future videos spent time on discussing the blade as well.
Great vid! Interesting to hear the insights into each player's preferences. Would be keen to see a comparison vid between DNA Hybrid, Dignics 09C, Tibhar K3, Razka, and Hurricane 3
Not like they literally made videos rating most of those rubbers in their opinion already
@@XIplupIX sure but not really against each other. Since each rubber are competitors of each other, would be interesting to see how which one suits which TTD player more and why
@@HungryIsh They had a litteral table rating their spin, speed, control, and etc. Why should it matter what ttd player prefer which ones more the ttd players have the rubbers they prefer no? Since tom has dna hybrid, he seems to prefer it over the other choices, since he tested all of those in the past
The Danes equipment brakedown: *any bat with a handle* 😂
the Frog my man ! spin first, get it on the table consistently and then speed when you get the window ! that's my play style too. i just have a tad more power on my backhand but i'm more of a spin and block control freak on the forehand side. because of my bad back, i can't commit hard on forehand shots. so i developed a solid forehand to control and place. but i will poke a hole through your guts with my backhand. that's the only difference between us.
i play DNA Hybrid hard too on a XIOM Hayabusa HX pro. which is the equivalent of Primorac carbon but slightly softer feeling. that's why i fell in love with it. the feeling is just as clean and predictable as can be. with those rubbers, it calms down the high bounce nature of the blade. it just has the perfect balance between speed/spin and control to me. i feel at home.
Would love to see a tournament after this series where you all use each other's bats, Draw someone else name use their bat and tournament to see who wins.
Frog plays really well now , he is a really strong player but still has his goofyness around 😊 😃
Great!
I actually been asking a lot about all TTD player's setup.
This video I'm considering a part 1, and waiting for the resr🎉
Great video! When will see The Beast's equipment?
Lovley I think every ttd fan was waiting for this
Toms Energy is legendary
Tom has become a force now. Dan - keep on training.
I'm using this rubber on BH and I completely happy with it) On a Stiga clipper cr blade and Rakza Z on FH
Great video concept ! Is it possible to mention the thickness of the rubbers at the start ?
Do the Dane's setup i really like this type of videos
The Dane doesn't need rubbers, just the handle!
The dane
Blade: Butterfly carbon blade
Forehand: Blade handle
Backhand: Blade handle
I'd really like to see a blind test of 70's Butterfly Tackiness Drive on the fastest looping high-quality blade available vs the best Chinese-style spinny rubbers on good, conventional blade, and see if there's any distinction that makes a difference for Dan, who is so used to testing rubbers that he doesn't have any problem with whatever flavor of blade/rubber-of-the-week.
I will love this series!!
Man, Tom’s a real tough guy.
any chance you may review different brands of glue to see if they have influnce on racket performance, or they are all the same?
Great idea for a series!
Great video! Why didn’t you get the rubbers into the ttd ratings?
What a banger of a series idea
Would be nice to also show the ratings you gave the equipment like you usually do when testing new products even if you already reviewed it in the past
I have the same experience with XIOM J&H V52.5 but only on my forehand. On backhand Vega X is my rubber of choice
Oh nice. The J&H is a pretty new rubber. I've just bought Xiom Omega VII China Guang for my forehand, but haven't glued it yet. Similar idea - 55 degree hardness, hybrid. Forces you to play with good technique and play actively. We'll see how it turns out.
@@perthpongtt Yes, you have to commit to your strokes. Otherwise you get punished right away. It's challenging but I like it
Tom will be part of the Riverdance Show next.
Frog on fire 🐸🔥
How is it compared to Rakza Z and Rakza Z EH ? Faster? And how durable it is?
Love the idea!
I am wondering how is that compared with Butterfly’s Dignics
I have played with Stiga Hybrid M and H for a few months and Dignics are way better. I use Dignics 80 which is amazing.
@@KM-ss1if I disagree, I changed from Dignigcs to Hybrid for the exame same reason. I have been playing with Butterfly for almost ten years, and liked it, even though I do think they are overpriced. Anyway, I think STIGA have developed something really special with the DNA series, therefore I decided to test the Hybrids, and man. They are the same beast as Dignics, but for a fraction of the price. The durability is also up there with Dignics. In my opinion, the only reason to buy butterfly over stiga these days is if your a fan boy. The quality and performance is same for rubbers. For blades, the quality of stiga is unmatched.
Will there be other team members setup video's?
No TTD Ratings for the review of the rubber???? 😢
Honestly numbers aren’t the best way to quantify it
What's the Joola version of a grippy rubber?
Dan should switch to this, looked on point in this video! Frog doing frog things as well. Watching this instead of the football!
@TableTennisDaily Will be continue of the series?
The DNA rubber is good however unless you have unlimited funds they wear out too quickly. After 2 months there is no tack left and the rubber is useless.
I used Butterfly Tackiness in the latter part of the 1970's. It would last at least a year, with little significant loss of tack. Partly I suppose because I kept it regularly cleaned, and never, _ever_ wiped with the hand. Even when you clean a rubber, those micrograms of skin secretions are going to infuse and harden in the top microns of rubber and stay there.
You see the pros wipe with their hands, which is actually _good_ for the grip, between points . But they have an unlimited sponsor supply.
@@-danR funny how the newer rubbers seem to wear out much faster than the old stuff. Same with Hurricane now. They are not as tacky as the old ones.
I agree. My son uses Platinum M and it lasts 6 weeks for him.
True actually, I got a new H3 Provincial Blue Sponge and it barely held the ball. I the grip is still good though.@@rockys7726
You Forgot to mention the TTD Rubber Ratings For DNA HYBRID Rubbers 😢😢😢😢
Where Captain?
can we still buy TTD shirt ? if yes i can't find where
Какой резиной от ДNA играет Трулз ?
Great series. 1 episode and over… what’s wrong?
Great episode but the video quality is a but meh even at 1080, something with the focus and colors
Most flexible frog in the world
It doesn't look like it matches Tom's technique tbh. The throw is quite shallow and extra effort is needed to hit winners. I think Tom'll switch back tbh.
Where’s chairman
