    I have to sky diving to shut my mind up I have no friends so I have to compensate for that by taking things to the extreme. I hate doing it but it’s affective.

      Hey, you know, I would think over quite a long period of time, because it feels so good or relieving or whatever to be able to experience that mind quieting, that you might start to discover one or two other things you can do to achieve that also (besides some of the most extreme things), and then you'll just have even more tools. Good for you.

    Excellent advice for dealing with anxiety!! The walking always diffuses my anxiety!! Deep breathing and self talking is very effective too!!! Thank You!!!

    Hol' up.. There's companies out there that would rather pay a person to do nothing for a YEAR than have them continue to work while job hunting? That level of pettiness is so bizarre I can't even.

      I do think that this being college football coaching makes a big difference... I mean, that's a C-suite level competitive job (with the compensation to boot!), the people for whom the employer really takes those non-compete contracts seriously. If they're paying him to not look for another job, I can see why they fired him.

    I like the method of asking your body what’s wrong when anxious, but I personally think that it’s better for me to ask myself, “what’s my body trying to tell me?”
    You talk about asking in the third person, but I think it’s more effective for me in the first person.

    I only listen to the long episodes but so glad you have the short segments. Added the anxiety one to my list of episodes to revisit because it is something I do struggle with occasionally as a result of bullying all the way through school. Love the suggestions and need to work towards making those changes and know I need to make those changes before this episode but you break it down in a way that is easy to understand and easy to relisten to as a reminder.

    Very practical tips. Thank you Dr. D- I’ve heard about the benefits of Earthing/walking barefoot on grass but can you discuss the supplements? It seems like a mystery to me and I’d love to figure out the right assortment to take & what would be best
