  • Here is my review of my Flipbelt. Been using this nifty guy for about two years and I couldn't have been more satisfied to find something that works to hold all my stuff while I'm running. It really is a runner's best friend.

    Video is over 2 years old and is still one of the most informative videos on this product. Kept it short and to the point while still keeping the viewer entertained. Well done thank you.

      Thanks! Now it's actually 4 years, some of the stitches got a bit looser in some areas, but still works as well as day 1 :)

    usually you can fit 2 cards (ID and Debit card) inside of your phone case on the back of your phone. That way you dont have to have them loose or carry a wallet

    Nice review , love the belt . Hand washing it after each use and air drying it is recommend if you live in hot climates. I would also add that need to keep your phone on lock and in some kind of a light case whilst running . I use Spotify and blue tooth head phones and have de activated my phone a few times and called people while running from phone rubbing against body . Belt also gets a little heavy from sweat if you run in extreme heat .

    • @KyleCWong
      @KyleCWong  3 года назад

      Nice tips! I had the iPhone 6S when I made this video, and my iPhone XR is a bit more chunky so won't fit in the flipbelt if I have a case on/it would be an extremely tight fit. I haven't had issues with the screen turning on if I have a case on and touch to power on is off. I definitely accidentally deactivated my phone before and found it annoying - but it's normally because the screen is still receiving touch inputs from your body through the fabric, I've had no issues if the screen faces outwards.
      Cheers!

    I'm a simple guy. Don't like wearing any arm bands, head phones, water packs etc. I'm a sub elite runner though and this looks perfect to store all the running gels I need without having anything stick out on the outside. Plus I can throw in ibuprofen if I need. This looks perfect thank you

    PRO TIP: Yeah, I have this anxiety of losing my cards too so I bought a Ridge wallet clone on Amazon for like $15 and slip my cards in there before slipping the whole thing in the belt. If that thing falls out, you'd know, unlike cards themselves.

    you mean it gets so cold some places that phones stop working??😅 I have the opposite problem in Houston🔥lol but thanks for the review! I usually just run with my Garmin watch and thats it but Snagging this so I don't have to carry my phone in my hand next marathon!

    • @KyleCWong
      @KyleCWong  2 года назад

      Haha yes, unfortunately once it gets too cold the phone battery does not like that and would power off until warmed up again. Great to hear, I imagine this would be great for a marathon because it's out of your way and could store a bit of water. Cheers!

    Love the vid great info, was just wondering what your waist size is ( I saw you said 36” but that seems way to big for your body shape, did u mean 26”?) and if you could would u get a bigger or smaller size?

    • @KyleCWong
      @KyleCWong  4 года назад +1

      Aegon Thank you! 🙏 oh yeah I meant 26”, my bad! I was on the smaller end on the small size since it’s 26”-29”, this is a good size for me, but if your on around 29” I might bump up to a medium so it’s not too tight.

    • @KyleCWong
      @KyleCWong  6 лет назад

      Eric Gignac Hi Eric, yeah it's just a regular flip belt. They also sell the flipbelt water bottles individually if you're interested I think it's $10-15 depending on where you're from!

    It looks like maybe you solved the riding up issue by wearing it up around your waist instead of hips? Did you get a smaller one for that reason? If you wanted it around the top of your pants would it stay there? I’m shopping for a runner in my life and he has mentioned the “ride up” problem of other belts.

    • @KyleCWong
      @KyleCWong  4 года назад

      I tried wearing it around my hips, but I found that it wasn't comfortable because it restricted my movement, and it would ride up to my waist anyways. I have a fairly skinny waist, so I got small so it would fit more snug. With other solutions I was always worried about chafing on the skin, but I've had this for about 3 years now and have had no issues.

    Is the zipper one better or classic? Theyre pretty much the same, but zipper seems better

    • @KyleCWong
      @KyleCWong  4 года назад +1

      John Smith I found that the original is just fine, I don't worry about my things falling out, but if you want the extra security, can go for the zipper. Also helps if you want to carry change!

    Is there any issue with the phone bouncing around during long runs? Also is it moisture proof on the inside?

    • @KyleCWong
      @KyleCWong  5 лет назад +1

      If you get the right size, the phone should stay right up against your body - no bouncing! It's not moisture proof inside, which is not ideal for long hot runs, cause your phone can get soaked in sweat, but I haven't found any issues with my phone.

    • @KyleCWong

      No, its just the fabric, I can relate to pulling out my phone and being soaked in sweat, but I just flip it so the screen faces away from my body. Hope this helps!

    It being against the body might be good for freezing temperatures, but it would be horrible for hot temperatures!! DX Other than that and maybe be annoying getting on and off, it seems good. I would just put my cards and loose flat things in a light flip wallet thing and maybe also bring a small pouch for loose tiny items like change.

    • @KyleCWong
      @KyleCWong  4 года назад +1

      Yeah you're absolutely right, can get uncomfortable in the heat because its double layered it's not as breathable - especially if you have some stuff in the flipbelt. But I find that if I'm running in the heat, the trade off is worth it to not have to hold my phone and be able to bring water.
