Every guitar player seems to have that kind of "noodling" setting, which makes him go through licks and scales while testing new gear to get an impression of its sound and quality. In your case, Mr. Gardiner, even just trying new equipment, is more entertaining than 3 hours of mainstream radio. Interesting patterns in there, and tbh, this video is more interesting for my personal practise than most instructional stuff. Great music. sound and melodies. Love it.
