Parker is such a supportive husband, if I told my man we were going to Target to look for a pillow he'd be like "really? another one? we don't need that!!"

Watermelons should feel heavy for their size, sound hollow when you smack them, and have a large yellow spot on the bottom. It means they sat in the sun a ripened a while. Also the brown scratches are from animals trying to eat it which is a good sign 👌🏼

I love that Parker’s impulse buy is s fire extinguisher.😂 Side note, the best way to pick a watermelon is to look for a dark green with a yellow belly. I’ve been picking them that way for years and they’re always delish! And the brown marks indicate juiciness. 🤔🙃🍉

For your watermelon discussion- the yellow spot is the "sun spot", it's the side that was on the ground when it was growing and the bigger the sun spot, the longer time it spent on the ground growing before being picked (if that makes sense?) Lol. The brown lines or "spiderwebs" is developing sugars, more brown= more sweet but I've found it also means almost too ripe. So I usually choose one with a medium size sun spot and a couple of brown spiderwebby markings.

How to pick the perfect Watermelon:
-When you thump it, it should sound hollow
-The lines on the side should be thick and broken up/not solid
-It should have a large yellow spot on one side. This is the side it sat on while grew the darker/larger it is the more juice it has
-it should have dark brown splotches or lines. These spots are where sugar is trying to seep through the rine, the more they have the sweeter it should be

With watermelons, you want the one with the biggest yellow spot OR with the most scratches on it because those are the sweetest. Kinda the same with jalapeños but just the little scratches/web looking things.

I was told with watermelons look for one that sounds kinda hollow and only have one resting spot (yellow color). Bananas are the ones that will get brown spots :)

HOW TO PICK A WATERMELON 🍉😍:
-A yellow spot means it had time to naturally ripen
- the brown lines/scratches are if any bugs or small animals tried to get into it because they could smell the sugar
-if you put your hand on one end and on the opposite end gently tap a finger. If you can clearly feel the tap through the watermelon with your stationary hand then it means it has lots of juice!
With all these throw pillows I’m foreseeing a throw pillow collection video in he future 😂.

You should look up the app thrift books. They have basically any book you’re looking for that are in pretty good condition for about $4
I’ve heard when you pick watermelons, the best ones are when they have yellow spots because that means the sat in the patch a good amount of time. Also when they have flaws like scrapes in them, because that means that insects tried to eat them which means they are sweet! Hope that helps next time 😘
