For behind your couch you could get a long skinny table like a piece someone would put in their entry way and you can decorate it all cute! My parents had a similar problem and that’s what they did!

Lovesac!!! It has amazing couches. You can add extra seats. Change the color and change the shape. They are amazing!!!
By the stairs you could put a table with like a pot for keys and a mirror/ painting above it so when you are going out all your stuff is there and maybe you could also put a shoe box under that for your everyday shoes

I honestly love IKEA couches. I have had my kivik sectional for 4 years and it's still just as good as the day I got it, minus the stains from a toddler now 5 year old. They come with a 10 year warranty so if they were to break down you could get that part replaced. I also enjoy the different, washable covers so if my design style changes I can change the cover to match.

Try restoration hardware! Or even the basic furniture stores like Ashley! My boyfriends family has a couch from RH for 10 years now. they even had 3 young kids jumping everywhere and it still looks brand new.

You should get a love sac couch (it’s called a sactional) it is a couch where you could really make what ever style and shape you want! You can also pick the arms of the couch and if you don’t really like that shape you have or you move you can take pieces off and on. I think a sactional would be a great idea for your family room cause you can customize it and make it any size/shape!! P.S there is so many fabric choices and they are some really cool ones

If you want a custom one that is a great option if you want to invest or if you do not want completely custom couch due to cost than luvsac is also a great option. Something that will allow you to have the couch for 10+ year is getting them professionally sprayed with waterproof spray. We have a couple large couches and chairs that needed to be sprayed and if anything spills there is no stain. Just a suggestion. Hope y’all have an amazing week
