I love this number! I saw the show years ago with Lauren Bacall as Ruth. She was sensational. This choreography is MUCH better! Wait, are you sure that's Donna Murphy? She looks like Bebe Neuwirth!
More likely the Broadway transfer of the Encores production -- which I saw in the theater. Donna Murphy and evryone in the cast were terrific: a great show!

Saw this in San Francisco back in the late Seventies with the late great Nannette Fabray as Ruth. She was terrific.

The musical was written for Russell (and around her vocal limitations). Donna Murphy was terrific in the role of Ruth -- I saw this revival onstage.
