i've had this happen to me, twice. i live in a high rise in chicago, and a month after i moved in, i was waiting in the lobby for a grocery order, and a white lady (maybe mid 30s/early 40s) asks me if I live here. Told her yes. She just says "oh" and stands there for a few minutes. Long story short, she followed me up to my apartment with my groceries to make sure I was a resident there. I asked her name, and turned it into my leasing office with what happened, and they literally started posting signs next to every elevator saying "Please do not disturb other residents. Keep to yourselves." My leasing manager is also black. Glad she had my back.

i've had this happen to me, twice. i live in a high rise in chicago, and a month after i moved in, i was waiting in the lobby for a grocery order, and a white lady (maybe mid 30s/early 40s) asks me if I live here. Told her yes. She just says "oh" and stands there for a few minutes. Long story short, she followed me up to my apartment with my groceries to make sure I was a resident there. I asked her name, and turned it into my leasing office with what happened, and they literally started posting signs next to every elevator saying "Please do not disturb other residents. Keep to yourselves." My leasing manager is also black. Glad she had my back.
