Watching you and Amanda reorganize your booths made me realize what a hard job you have. Gosh, you have to be physically fit and strong to manhandle all the furniture. I would enjoy picking out all the items and styling them but not the rest! Ha! I have a real appreciation for what you do.
I love Amanda's channel. I had a beautiful breakfront that I was trying to donate. It wasn't antique but I couldn't give it away. No one wanted furniture with glass. Finally I got a hospital charity shop to take it. I had it for over 30 years and was just tired to it and the matching table and server.
We had a thrift store to open in my small town(there was only one other, and that one was truly a junk shop - majority of things either broken or damaged) Anyway, we finally get a thrift store, and it was great. Then the management changed. The new manager began looking up comps. I don't know if she understood to look for *sold* prices. But over time, the store got fuller and fuller, because nothing was moving, because it was all overpriced. And they finally closed the doors - it shut down. It was NOT the customers to blame. It was that particular manager. I saw it progress and go downhill with my own eyes. It's counterintuitive... but, price high, and you don't sell as much. Price lower, you move more product and you make more money. It aggravated me to see the pricing at the first Goodwill in this video.
My favorite thrift store in town probably does triple of what my store does because their prices are low and because of that they have a loyal following!
Hi, the glass fronted cabinet in Amandas booth was cool because of that tramp art lamp. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Your Goodwill wants 40.00 on that ugly plate 😮😂 Oh Goodwill. Who prices this stuff? Its pricing like here in Phoenix. Crazy. I'm with you, I love the hat display what wasn't for sale ❤Those kitch lamps were so fun, but not your style 😀 I love blow mold candlesticks. 🕯 The cabinet looks early 90s 🤔 Anyone could use their imagination to spruce that up. The little footed dishes are cute. Fun video. Merry merry ❤
Abby-Gail😊. Neat fact, at the Virginia Lucketts show they have hired guys with furniture dollies to move your large furniture. (If only). Anyway you go girl , love the info. Elizabeth
Hi Abby who ever is pricing some of the GWs is not in tune with what GW is maybe they think they are an antique shop.lol Love the cabinet looks really good. I have seen other resellers that have bought wicker and I think it is doing pretty good. Maybe it does for one and not to good for others.Wish you the best Christmas. See you later
You must have so much fun going here and yonder looking for neat stuff, vintage, and antiques .. l know l would .. lol Btw, when we were shown the Video on the books you picked up in BC the second last one read Graham Green the author of the book .. He is an Canadian Indigenous actor who starred in “ Dances With Wolves “ with Kevin Costner .. he played one of the main indigenous roles next to Kevin Costner .. he’s the one with his hair styled like it’s standing up .. just thought maybe you’d like to know .. 😊🇨🇦🎄
I love that jewelry dresser! I'll keep checking your Etsy shop for it. I live in Seattle and hope to visit your booth at Lander Street Vintage soon. Are those pedestal bowls going to your booth? They're really nice. Love your style!
Abby, did you stop doing Boho? I thought I heard you say something about that regarding that gorgeous boho cabinet. Could you elaborate because I closed my boho booth. I have a booth now but I’m mainly concentrating on vintage books (my top sellers) art, brass, copper and ironstone. But I do love the boho stuff. Is that trend gone?
Let’s just say marketing and mass public consumers have moved on from boho but there will always be those who love what they love regardless of trends. I personally still pick up bohemian items like brass, rattan, bamboo, wood and textiles because there will always be those who live and love the look.

Yes, it’s a sad thing. So hard to get rid of beautiful pieces. Especially in my area of the country.

Right!! And she had two of them. They must be rather spendy because she’s had them for awhile. Yeah shocked at some of those prices.

I need the candle holders, how $$??
$115. Just email me abby@abigailsconcierge.com
I have often wondered if thrift places have increased prices because they’ve learned that thrifters resell items for profit.
I think that’s a part of it for sure.
