Thank you for spreading the word, Mortismal. Combat is definitely on our radar, especially RTwP. Let’s face it: at the moment, it feels a bit rough, but I’m sure we’ll improve it with your feedback!
I remember playing an indie rpg with a similar vibe, was pretty rough too, mort even reviewed it, called Divine Divinity. I hear the devs went on to make some more popular games later. This certainly looks much better than Divine Divinity.
I tried the demo some months ago, and what i can say is that i really like it. I think that the developers are in the right way to achieve a great indie game. We need more of this kind of games made with passion.
Honestly started playing yesterday and was quite surprised with the choices in dialogues. Was happy to see that as a Noble, most of my dialogue choices sounded like a noble. I can insult people, treating them like shitty peasant. I also had multiple opportunity to intimidate peasants by requesting special treatment. It worked for the most part. It feels good to have a smaller game world but with lots to experience and explore. Hand crafted world ftw
ATOM was so good that I'm interested in this. Hopefully it'll be as good as to warrant the kind of attention it deserves. The cRPG genre went from dead, to niche, to now being the hottest thing around and I cannot help but think that some of the smaller studios are getting ignored (but at the same time, those studios are growing fast! Thanks in part to you). May you wander in wisdom.
Not gonna buy it in EA, but this looks really good from the initial system's standpoint. A meaty crpg with all the systems that come with it. Also the scope of the graphics, style, etc. all seem well thought out, so I'm really optimistic about this one!
Thanks for the video. I think I'm becoming increasingly in the minority with this, but I think RPGs should, by the final act, be a demi-god. Magic works for this, but but it seems harder to do with melee. Even if you become juggernaut, you are still just hitting characters with a weapon. Onward to 400k. All glory to the algorithm.
I'm already enjoying tyhe choices in dialogue that I get, but it seems beanpole or nothing is the way to go for traits. lol. You're always losing too much in a skill you are investing in. lol. Beanpole for anyone who doesn't want to be persuasive or whatever. lol. I love being persuasive, and trying to convince my enemies to not kill me outright. lol.
Looks neat, enjoy the aesthetic, but I just can't buy into an RPG that is in Early Access, I want to be able to just play the whole story not stop and potentially have to start over.
I have been looking for a good CRPG that has an open world where you can actually grind and get a high level character early on, I tried Baldur’s Gate and Divinity 2 but neither fit the bill. Does anyone have any suggestions?
What turned me off in the demo was the fact that wolves would follow you and ignore nearby sheeps, who apparently didn't feat wolves running into their midst at all. This ment the world had few or no systems to react to what you were doing. I wonder if they fixed that somehow? The demo looked like it was scripted A LOT, which kind of takes away the interest of having a map that you can move through.

i love you atom rpg im playing your game now and trudograd is next
This game popped up on my Steam Queue today and I saw CRPG and thought ‘I bet Mortismal is going to cover this!’
That thumbnail REALLY took me down a different path. I saw a dinosaur in one of those fancy people neck things and my mind took that and ran.
Same. I thought you played as a dinosaur knight in a medieval prehistoric setting.
Nice that you have the option to switch between real time with pause and turn based, one of my favorite features of Pathfinder: WotR.
I loved Atom RPG. I will be keeping a close eye on this. Right up my street.
I love the lady by the well that mentions the whole rain day ritual thing. I got a good chuckle out of that.
ATOM RPG and its expansion had some of the funniest and unhinged dialogue I've seen in a game. Hopefully the devs kept that for this game too.
Sometimes I need to remind myself that Trudograd is kind of an expansion. Truly the fleshed out ATOM experience.
i just finished ea today and its still there
@@TwoSouthFarm yeah its league above in every department

Very classic in many aspects.
Interesting, wishlisted (GOG+Steam).
Thanks for your videos!
Got it on my wishlist. Thank you for covering this sir
The font really got me. I love the old BG vibe.
ATOM RPG is incredibly underrated
Always up for an Iron conspiracy in a mock Baldur Gate setting. This might be the first like that. No matter. I'll take it!

Proud to say I'm one of the backers! 😭🙏 Let's support this developer guys!
I received a norification about this game. But , i thought, I will wait the review from mortismal. :) and here I am.
So happy this is available on GOG.
dear mr. gaming,
here's a free comment in hopes that it will help boost your channel's visibility.
best regards,
Looks very interesting, def gonna follow and wishlist this. I'll probably wait till after early access
Loved Atom RPG and Trudograd so much that Kickstarting this was a no brainer, even though I rarely KS anything.
I bought the game and am waiting for it to finish. I love games like these.
This game is definitely on my list, looking foward to it ^^ !!! thanks Mortisgal and Atom Team.
0100 here in kiwi land - shift over, yay video!
same man same

This has a familiar looks and feels of older game. I dig it.
Wonder if there's special interaction for character with low intel.
A Shipwreck AND a jewelry McGuffin? Why, I haven't been spoiled like that since Arcanum!
ATOM Rpg and Trudograd are fantastic.
It looks interesting, whislisted it.
3 hours in already having a blast a swarm of bugs attacked a village killed some chickens then got squashed by villagers 💯
1fps moment

Thanks for sharing.
unarmed animation looks sick 😂😂
Definitely checking this one out but waiting for 1.0
Love the Mortismal format & glad people are copying the 100% review
Swordhaven RUclips Jazz 🎶
Wishlisting at least to see how it improves through ea.
Please try Tunguska thé visitation. Vanity project of 1 hardworking Guy.

Gronk!

BG1 can do that. The Ankeg farm just south of Baldurs Gate can get you all the way up with tons of money to boot.
A tiny bit of combat polish and this looks like it could be genuinely great
no magic for the mc, no buy. but doesn't look bad. keep at it.
Is the game expected to have voice acting?
I doubt it, pretty small studio and there is a lot of text here
I dunno man since BG3 & Rouge Tader I can't jive with most other Crpg's anymore. Only recent exception I've enjoyed a lot was Colony ship
I really hated Atom but the demo for Swordhaven was impressive enough that I can overlook Atom’s crappy writing and long arduous maps.
Weird picture for this game.
Pathfinder, BG3 and pillars have spoiled me. I might check it out on full launch tho
Noice

Hopefully they branch out from their inspirations. I really liked Atom but it felt like a worse Fallout than anything else
