Despite watching hours and hours of planner videos, I have yet to purchase a printed planner! I am using Field Notes for minimalist weekly spreads plus some blank pages for notes. I like the portability factor with no pressure to decorate. Then I have a rings planner for info that does not need to go everywhere with me, like reading logs, trackers, chore lists, etc. This is the planner I decorate and add in pictures and what not. I get the best of both worlds: function and portability plus something to decorate and flip through! Super affordable, too, because I just use what I have! Very DIY! I still love checking out what everyone else is using, though! Great suggestions from you, as always!
Love this video. I tried a few different planner styles this year. I decided to keep it simple. I will be using the Aura Estelle Catch All for 2025, with an old Hononichi cover, as it was perfect for my needs this year. I will be using the Traveler's Daily horizontal layout for my Gratitude Journal. Simple is what I want for 2025.
I'm in the same main planner...mostly because (for archive purposes) I like my info all in one place. The only system I switched up was my reading journal and that's because the tip ins (by the end of the first quarter) had me questioning whether the binding would be durable all year.
I started using the free planner pages from my Noteshelf app in my Tab S8 last year and continue to use it this year. This works great for me except for my budget planning. I had to get an updated one of that recently because I noticed I wasn't really using the digital ones up purchased. Great video btw
Totally here for the minimal and undated planners. I think, too, this year, people are really looking for ways to simplify and merge their systems. I can’t tell you how many people are now questioning whether or not they actually need more than a few planners. It seems like people are trying to literally downsize to smaller and more “one book”/multi-use systems. The “planner stack” is starting to become untrendy. I will also say the last trend that I seem to be noticing that falls in line with the “minimal” style is that there are less colorful planners. Pink, for instance, is hardly used as a planner cover “staple” color. Now, I see much more neutrals (blacks, browns, tans, soft blues and muted greens) as opposed to brights. Interesting!
This video is very informative. I appreciate it. Also, it is refreshing to see a video that doesn't align with maximalist trends that needs 300 planners ...
Lol, I had an EC year myself after being in a Franklin for years at work, then a Bujo in a Leuchterm for years at work with a combo digital method. After feeling I needed more structure, I got the Hobonichi Cousin, and I like the layout and way to organize, but the colors (Sat/Sun) and each month, plus no extra space, plus every single day dated (and no page numbers) and the darn quote (please…I beg of people, leave the quotes out!) and I stumbled on the Sterling Ink 2025 release video (I’d seen that planner, but not in detail) and was like, “yaaaaassssss!!!!” Very clean, getting the dated A5 (without the dated daily pages, The Common Planner) and either an A6 booklet or compact…can’t decide yet. I agree that having a smaller structured planner to carry around is helpful cause no matter how well intended, I’m not lugging that Cousin to Target with me 🤣 Sometimes I will write things down, then take a picture of it on my phone and refer to that, or I’m out and take a picture of something and then transfer that to my planner later. Saves time to snap a photo and get all the details.
I'm sticking with the same system I've used for 4 years - I landed on it by accident, and it worked. There have been a few minor tweaks along the way but it's basically the same. I get the impression the whole "let's decorate the heck out of it" trend has been and gone, which is a relief. Some of us can't cope with lots of colour and mess but still love to watch other people's ideas.
That's good to hear. Honestly, I don't think that decorating trend is gone. There are a lot of people that still enjoy doing that. You probably don't search or click on those types of videos, so that is why the algorithm is showing them to you less and less. But if you do search, especially for the Happy Planner, I'm sure that you would find a ton of recent videos showing those types of Plan With Me(s). I don't judge them. ~To each his or her own.
Hi! Enjoyed your video! Could you please let me know what is name/brand of the first (undated) planner in the video? It looks like the perfect size and layout for me to try. Thanks!
No, these planners are not on my Amazon list. You can do a quick google search for Hobonichi and Sterling Ink planners. Last year, I had a glass water bottle break in my bag and damage my planner. Everything that was in highlighter or eraseable ink disappeared. I was so heart broken.

I’m still using the same planner that I started with at the beginning of the year
same☺
I'm going to try my best to stick with the same planner for the entire year

Totally agree!

I snap a picture too sometimes. 😅 Or I'll use my IPhone reminders app, where I can make digital lists and have appt reminders.

@PlanYourOneLife Yes, you're probably right about the algorithm thing - I don't click on them, only those the functional planning ones.

It was the b6 common planner. You can find it on the Sterling Ink website.
Can you please link all the planners in this video? Are they all on your Amazon list?

I'm sorry to hear that happened.
What is the first planner you show for undated?
The Sterling Ink Common Planner
I tried undated planners but I didnt like it, but to be fair I think ot was the size of the planner
