Thanks once again for sharing your business, knowledge and experience with us. You are one of the very few. That responds to comments. Some just want the following, but never take the time to interact with us. I love seeing how you bring on new business owners and train them on site. Big praises! Each one Teach one! Some people feel threatened by just sharing knowledge with new PW owners. The pie is BIG enough for everyone. It's why your business will always thrive and be BLESSED!!!
I agree 100% brother. I just had a conversation with a fellow washer a couple days ago and it really made open my eyes that the fact he was downing me doing this and claimed that I was giving away knowledge for FREE. I felt a little disgusted honestly. I'll never be too big to help someone out.
I love watching your videos so much! I actually went out and purchased a big pressure cleaner from Lowes, the 4400 PSI one. I purchased the Whisper 20 inch surface cleaner, I have yet to buy a ball valve, the original pressure hose that comes with the machine is total GARBAGE! I wanted to mimic your videos at my home for fun, my house came out excellent. Now I have my neighbors asking me how much I would charge them to do theirs. I will be honest, you make it look so easy, the SH is expensive, the time and equipment is not cheap. The sun in Florida is unforgivng for those that work in front of a desk. I have a full time job, and I had to take an extra day off to recover from my Sunburn.😂 after pressure cleaning my house on my day off. My wife found it hilarious. I'm going to buy all the best equipment you advise for a soft wash system. Keep up the fun videos, my wife and I really enjoy them.
Thanks for sharing. That is so awesome! To do this job 1st one must truly enjoy it because it is very taxing on the body. As far a soft wash system I would with this one. Only downside is you will obviously need a tank and hose reel.

Love your vidjas sir. My lil tip I’d like to add, is when you’re brushing sand near those drains, I put painters tape on them, keeps sand from getting in and later causing flooding. Keep up the good work and stay safe. ✌🏽
Thanks ✌️
Nice cart. It’s all about being efficient.

Thank you brother. Yea thats one thing I didn't think to get. I sure realized it quick lmao. I'm gon a get a pair for the tool box for sure
Cliff great job my friend. I clean my first pool screen today watching your videos help big time. I recall you saying when spraying your sh spray it from the side not direct. It had a lot of algae once I finish the client was satisfied. Now they have contracted me to clean and seal the pool deck.
I have to ask you again what was the name of the sealant. I’m going to keep the info in my note from now on. Thanks again for all your help.
Goof job. Yes when rinsing its best to rinse it sideways I use deco products silicast sealer.
Excellent job as usual I just had one question How do you charge, by the square foot and if so, how do you measure odd shapes like that I never took geometry lol....
Thank you 😊 if its odd shape like that best thing to do is measure it in sections then add it all up. Paver sealing stars at $1. If its a small job you could change a little more per sq ft
Good job love the pump set up.
Thanks! Yea man it'd much faster than the pump up sprayer and the wider fan pattern is pretty sweet
Back at it again bro.. I’m gonna holla at you soon concerning commercial job. How long is your hose for the sealer set up?? Great job as always…
Hey brother yea let me know. The hose was 25ft. It's 1/4 inch air hose by Goodyear.
I feel like every video you do has a screened in pool lol. I use to clean pools and even then, I’ve never seen so many screened in pools. Maybe 1 in 40 pools here have a screen. Must be a Florida thing. Edit: you’re getting huge Clifford. That chest bro, dang. Where do you get the energy to work, make videos, record, take phone calls, raise a family & hit the gym so hard. Share the secret to your high energy with us mortals lol.
Yea it must be a Florida thing cause it's very rare to find a pool without an enclosure. Lol I gotta hire the weights 🤣 I also play minor league football. It's my 16th year playing so I gotta stay up to date to chase these young guys.
Excellent video bud. Fantastic descriptions. I am having a home built in Sarasota and will be my first pavers around the pool very similar to this house. Great explanation. How often, in the Florida sun, would you suggest doing this process on the pavers?
Thank you very much. I lived in Sarasota for 2 years back in 2002-2004. But as far as how often to reseal I'd say about 2-3 years depending on weather. I always tell my customers about 2 years.
Amazing job and process
Thank you very much
Making it pop! What sealant/sand combo you working with? Also how do you know what color sand to use I know there’s a couple options out there, do you go over it with the customer to see what they prefer? Appreciate the good content man!
Hey brother. I use deco products silicast paver sealer and I use silica sand from Florida silica company. I like that sand cause it's very easy to manage oppose to the sand from lowes or home depot. Actually I tell them that's what I use and show them pictures from previous jobs to see if they like it. I haven't had any requests to tint pavers, maybe one day
You remember that scene from pineapple express...."Hands down dopest dope I've ever smoked" thats how I feel about your videos 🤣🤣 I read you said 16 yrs in minor leagues? Daaaaamn bro lol I knew u played but didn't know that long. Let us find out you got that Devin white speed 💨💨

Thank you. It worked great!
Awesome! I love the sealant "machine" you made! Works great💪💪
Yes it does. I need to put a bungee cord to strap the 5 gallon lol I almost tipped it over
Awesome pro tip with the roller man, definitely going to help me with the pool decks. It’s the little things that can separate you from a competitor.
Yessuh. Got a tip on a big ticket and a 5 star review.
Hey Clifford, you set the standard in the home cleaning industry. I love the up-sale sealing pavers.
I have a couple questions.
Does the sealer make the surface slick?
Is the sealer permanent, If not how often should it be re-applied?
Thanks brother. No the sealer isn't slick at all. That's a major plus for it. Also it's not permanent typically it last 2-3 years. Another great thing about this sealer is it doesn't need to be stripped. Next time I seal it I can just clean and add another layer on top.
Great job pool is looking a lot better once you applied sealer question I was wondering how do you clean out the sprayer after you used it or no cleaning needed afterwards ?
Thank you. I ran 5 gallons of water through it. Remember it's a water based sealer so it's much easier to clean the sprayer. If it was solvent based sealer it would take more
That’s awsome that makes since thanks for the reply keep up the great work and videos lots of great information and help
Good stuff man as usual. Glad we finally got to check out the card. With Silacast, did you have to wipe down the walls and pool enclosure frame from the overspray?
Yea I keep a rag. The pool enclosure just gets shiny if the sealer gets on it. It's clear sealer so it doesn't change the color. But I wipe them down anyway.
Great work
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey Cliff, awesome job man! Your continent is very well-made. I’d like to make a little cart like that for the sealing. Do you have any information where I could learn how to make one

Hey my brother great job. What sealer would you recommend for a marble type pool paver that wont leave a shiny stain?
Deco20 clear sealer. It's more like a waterproofing sealer.

Not a bad idea 🤔🤔🤔

Hey Cliff, appreciate your videos. How long do you recommend waiting to seal new paver job. If so do you wait the 30-60 days or is that not needed typically with deco with efflorescence?
I typically tell my customers to wait 4 to 8 weeks after installation to seal pavers. Just to avoid if efflorescence starts to grow on the pavers. Typically that's the time period that happens.
Thanks for the video and education on sealing pavers where did you get the cart from .
Thanks. I built it myself actually 🙏🏽🤙
As always appreciate the videos! I learned so much from you!
What size pump is on the cart?
Thank you for supporting. Thats a little 1gpm pump
Subscribed! Do you do the entire job in a day? What do you charge per square ft? and what product are you using? You are the man thank you so much!
Yes all in 1 day. At $1-2 a sq ft. Depending on size. And I use deco products silicast paver sealer.
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash how can i find the exact product? is it good to use on brick, concrete, exposed agrogate, pavers. and stamped concrete?
@@thatswhatshesaid142 call them to find a supplier/distributor near your town. Deco Peoducts is the name (their logo is a fishbone) . That idk I only use it on pavers. They do make other sealers for different surfaces. I've yet to see this one used on concrete driveways, brick and those other surfaces you mentioned. They would be more knowledgeable in that department.
I've used their travacast sealer before which is for travertine decks.
Great job. Love the videos. Question on this project- did you have to wipe the excess sealer off the bottom of the aluminum frame from the screen enclosure? If no, did it leave any noticeable marks on the aluminum from spraying the sealer (like overspray)?
Thanks, Yes I normally wipe it off. on the white ones its not noticeable since the sealer goes on clear but sometimes if theres dirt and dust that flies on it then it hardens that stuff in. When that happens i just take a wet rag or brush to remove the dirt, sand, and dust.
Excellent job as always bro!!!💯👍🏾 What is the name of the paver seal you use?
Thanks. I use deco products silicast. It's a water based sealer.
What solution did you use for the pretreatment?
Just a SH mix to get rid of Any algae and mold off the pavers
Do you not have to worry about getting sealer and sand in the pool?
I dont blatantly spray or blow sand in the pools. The tiny amount that gets in there doesn't affect it. Keep in mind I use silica sand. Not polymeric sand
Hey great work what sealer did you use
Deco products Silicast
Hey!! Nice work... that sealer doesn't get stuck on the house, drain or screens? I see there's no protection up so just wondering if we're doing something wrong on our end. We usually tape and/or board things off... but we're using URESEAL h20
Hey thanks. I keep a damp rag with me and wipe those off. Being that it's a water based sealer it wipes off easily. I usually use a paint shield (check out my other sealing videos). No you're not doing anything wrong, taping is totally fine also.
Great video Cliff very educational thanks again for sharing the knowledge I have my first paver job this week a bit uncomfortable about it being my first time. if I am not going to sand the pavers, can I use my surface to cleaner? are should I use Sh and ball valve wash them off? thank you
Good luck! Yea just soft wash them with a hot mix and ball valve rinse them
How much did it cost to build your sprayer you used to lay on the sealant?
Under $150 bucks
I seen the video you had no worries about where you were spraying if that stuff gets on the windows the plastic the wood doors screen cage .. is it okay .. to let the mist get on everything. I've been wasting time paper and tape and stuff off I want to do it like you just did but I'm scared the overspray is going to get on everything thk love watching your videos I've used all your knowledge to get my business up and going
Just wipe it off. It's water based sealer. I use a wet rag and wipe any overspray.
Thank you that was a perfect easy answer .
Great video as usual, quick question. Do you have customers sign any contracts or agreements before work? I’m just starting out and wondering if its necessary.
Hey thanks brother. I normally don't unless I see something outrageous at the property or if it's a huge project. I'm not gonna have have them sign stuff for a driveway cleaning. But to each their own, some companies does make them sign something every job.
After you finish sand and seal how long the Costomer have to wait before they can drive on it
For driveways 72hrs after sealing
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash thank uou
What's up my boy great job great work I had a question why does it sound sticky when you're walking through it when you were done and does that go away?
Thanks. It's because it's not fully dried. Yes it does go away once it gets a good couple days of sun.

@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash Thank you Cliff. You the man!
What would you use on a marble paver?
Either deco 20 or deco travacast.
I am using HC solvent based paver sealers. I used the same roundup sprayer that you used in previous jobs. It will not spray, is the solvent to thick to spray? The sprayer works with water Thanks in advance
Yep can't use that pump sprayer with those other sealers. I use a water based sealer so that's why it works for me.
Hey Cliff, do you ever use your surface cleaner on pavestone, or is it better just to spray and rinse?
Yes I do. They can handle surface cleaning just fine. But they can also be softwashed (stones like travertine)
Yeah Man!
💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥 thanks
So I have to give a quote this week. Customer wants sand and seal and I’m at least going to charge $1 like you told me. My question is what sand should I use ?
Any sand will do. I personally like the silica sand cause it's easier to manage. The lowes and home depot sand always seems mushy like playground sand.
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash I’m in west palm beach FLORIDA is there a place you recommend to get the sand . I was thinking Home Depot.
Wish you were in Fort Myers!
We have paver ants 🐜
Need a good wash and seal - does it prevent ants after it’s done?
Also - does the solution affect the pool water?
Bummer thats about 2hrs+ away from me. No it will not prevent ants, that would be more so on the pest control side. Ant will make mounds in any tiny crevasse.
Nah the solution wont do anything to the pool water, its wayyyyyy to much chlorinated water in the pool for that to happen.
Do you have a video on washing patios with rougher pavers with about 1/2 inch gaps with hard grout in between?
Hard grout? Meaning polymeric sand? I've washed quite a few rough looking pavers with big gaps and loose pavers yes.
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash Sorry for the confusion, its not sand but more of an epoxy grout.
@@christianbrassington2224 oohhh yea. I think on this video is what you're describing. ruclips.net/video/pXpdefRNQIQ/видео.html
Awesome video as always. Quick question on all of your pool deck paver videos you don't seal the coping but if you have over spray it gets wiped off. In this video you used a tiny roller on the coping, why? Or, are you supposed to seal the coping?
Good eye my man. I did it on this job because the customer requested and paid for it. As you see its a very tedious process lol so time is money therefore theres a fee for that. Most customers do not want to add that to the job.
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash Definitely hard on the back. Thank you for the fastest reply and for your content knowledge. You should create a course!!!!
How do you avoid getting sand in the pool
Thats impossible. Thats the same as customers asking if dirty water will get in the pool when cleaning a pool cage lol Its not that serious to be worrying about stuff like that when the pool has a vacuum to clean it when debris and sand get in there. Or a pool cleaning service can also be scheduled for cheap.
hey cliff i just check the price of pool shock her in new york $5.98 from 3.64 A galoon and that s at lowes
Yikes. Try a pool apply store. Pool chlorine down here is cheap. Tell them you're a business they may give you a slight discount especially buying in bulk.
How critical is it to avoid blowing sand into the pool? Will it gunk up or just dissipate? Thanks
Silica sand will not harm the pool. I would advise not getting polymeric sand in the pool as it hardens when it comes in contact with water.
Hey cliff, great job bro. Where did you learn how to seal ?
Learned from an owner of a paver sealer company 😃
Lol nice
How do you figure how much sand it will take to re sand the pavers after you clean? Is there a formula you use per square foot?
There is but I just always bring more than I need to be safe cause each job is different. Some pavers have bigger joints and require more sand that others. so i bring an extra bag than I need to be safe. I dont need to be right on point when it comes to that.
I’m a pool guy and I was wondering I was wanting to offer the service to my customers here in the near future what’s the name of that sprayer? Where do I buy one and how do you estimate how much the job is going to be in what you’re going to charge the customer
On this video I had made that sprayer myself. But that was years ago. Nowadays I use this sprayer below. In the description there's the info to order one.
Paver sealing is estimated by square footage. And your price per sq ft will include the cost for materials and labor. That price can range from $1-5 a sq ft depending on your market or even the details of the job.

Do you ever seal concrete pool decks? Is it the same process?
I've only done pavers. Concrete pool deck is the same process but you'll have to use a roller on it cause you'll have some puddles. Pretty easy still. Just work in section, spray then roll, and move to the next section.
Are you responsible for the inside nose of the coping edge as part of your cleaning
No I'm not. I've done that before as an upcharge though.
will SH react to a salted pool deck when surface cleaning?
Never done of those, I cant honestly say.
Cliff, I’m in my first year still, but I feel like every job something goes wrong. Did you have that issue when you first started ?
Minor things. Like o rings, running out of gas, broken pull cord, clogged tips on my surface cleaner, broken cheap surface cleaners lol. But once I got better equipment all of that ceased.
I know you asked Clifford but I just wanted to say, it happens to us all man. A lot of “on the job” training in this field. Here are some tips. 1. If you’re having a hard time with normal stains & down streaming, start putting your down stream hose directly into the SH & draw 2%. Don’t be scared of SH. Think of it as chlorine, because well, it is. Soak all plants before & after work & you’ll be fine. Clifford’s videos are a prime example. He’s running 3,4,5% all the time and doesn’t even flench. If you find the 2% helps, get a soft wash system asap. You’re work will turn out better, guaranteed, with a soft wash system regulating your chemicals. Plus bleach will destroy your high pressure hoses, fittings, down stream injector, basically everything related to the pressure washer & it’ll do it quickly. 2: With that said, we work with high pressure, plumbing, water, & chemicals. Stuff is going to break (a lot.) If your problem is parts failing then make sure your charging enough to afford spare parts to fix stuff when it breaks. And, once again, get a soft wash system. Only using your pressure washer for concrete & rinsing will save you a lot of money in the long run. 3. Pro tip- Avoid dark hardy board at all cost till you know what to look for. If you put SH on a dark green hardy board home painted with Sherwood Williams paint, you can kiss your business goodbye. If you don’t have insurance you’ll be paying to repaint the home. To add to this, avoid over pleasing people by taking on oxidation removal, paint removal & other miscellaneous jobs & focus on perfecting your house wash instead until you’re comfortable. Don’t get discouraged. Anytime something goes wrong, instead of getting mad, think about how to fix it for next time. Get a CRM, LIKE RIGHT NOW!, if you don’t have one. Lastly, work on marketing. My biggest mistake when starting was trying to learn everything I could about the cleaning process and I didn’t focus on marketing at all. Well it doesn’t matter how good you are, if you don’t have customers, you’re not in business. I learned this the hard way. Think about it like this. If you want $900 days & you’re average job is $300 then you’ll need 3 new customers a day or 72 customers a month!!!! (Based on 24 days.) Take into account closing rate & you basically need 100 leads every month. Now that you understand the importance of marketing in this business, get on it!! Perhaps you’re already doing some of this stuff & I know this is a long post but I want to help. I almost gave up my first year and it was stressful. I didn’t sleep some nights. My problem at the time, marketing. Lead generation, marketing, sales, invoicing, follow ups, how you quote, all of these things are the MOST important thing you can learn as a new business owner. Hope this helps! Believe in yourself & you’ll succeed. & pay attention to Clifford when he talks about SH values! Very few people on RUclips are doing it like Clifford & that’s why he has 250+ 5 star reviews on his business page!
