Yes it was proven in a recent study that Israel has one of the lowest or lowest peant allergies in the world The study believes this is because babies eat food with peanuts at a very early age - like Bamba (which I don't like) - babies love this product not because of the peanut but as they can suck on it and it helps them with their gum ackes

One day I want to try a Scottish MRE, the heater is radioactive and it comes with a little bottle of Scotch whiskey.
You're lucky you got Cigarettes with your Rations. We don't get them in MRE's the Corpsman comes by and conviscates them along with your Monster & Rip It Stash . They check your Ruck Sack's but allot of people started getting High Blood pressure myself included so i can't be too mad Doc was doing us a favor looking out for us .
They sell Bamba Peanut Butter Snacks at TARGET 🎯 it's a Blue Bag with a Baby on it kicking a Soccer ⚽ Ball. Sabon is like a Kit Kat Bar & The Cow Chocolate Bar can be found at Tomb Thumb if you look in the Kosher Section.

A lot of English Teachers in Israeli schools are Americans that moved to Israel, so they have American accents and the kids pick it up. They also pick up American accents when speaking English if they watch a lot of TV :)

Doesn't the IDF do halva any more? Sesame, tahina, honey or sugar. I used to live off it in my youth. So did the IDF in the 70s. Much better than these 'made up' snacks. Halva is very ancient.
The idf doesn't really serve these snacks outside the 'Shekem' (military kiosk we have in every base) you'd be happy to know that they still serve halva and tchina in the dining room :)
In times of National Emergency, we eat loof (kosher spam in a can), stale bread, tuna, washed down with unidentified hot beverage known as ca'tea (coffee-tea). It'll grow hairs on your chest.

It was only Rovai (fusilier) 2, but they trained us hard night marching, lots of range shooting with M16 and Uzi, 2 weeks of sadaut bush camping, marching with full gear. Then between 13th and 14th grade, we did one month of reserve service in the middle of the Gaze Strip, securing the main route Nr.4 and nightly foot partoles in Al Bureig and another camp (lots of rats and dead donkeys).
I was stationed in siani Egypt back in 1989 and took RnR to Israel. Our first stop was at the Dead Sea. I saw women and men in plain clothes with Uzi's strapped over their backs... found out it was IDF patrolling lol

Respectfully, I think that is a myth. The largest allergy in the IDF is to sesame seeds and in Israel, we start eating Tehina at a very young age.
