I saw your video and decided to watch it. After watching this video, I decided to go back and watch all your previous videos. I really love all of your projects, because you are one of the few outliers in the stitching community. I enjoy the fact that your choice of patterns are from designers that are not usually represented in the cross stitch community or maybe they don't usually show up in my you tube feed.

My favorite of your WIPS is still the lovely circus piece. I also gravitate towards dark/spooky patterns.
It would be great to finish 2 or 3 of the oldest projects. You could start others to celebrate!

You have some really beautiful pieces going, and honestly, you do need to finish a couple of those old kit pieces that are almost done!! The butterfly one and the geisha in particular, look like you could easily get them done. Also, the dyed fabric you showed from your shop is amazing. Really beautiful!!!

Your fabric is beautiful. Great job!! I love seeing all the full coverage projects, but I am beyond (age wise) that kind of challenge. I am mentoring my granddaughter for her to get into full coverage pieces. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your progress. If you decide to "put to rest" some of your started pieces, there might be art teachers who might appreciate receiving a gift of stitching to use in the classroom. That being said, I have tossed out several projects that I either made a huge mistake on or just got sick of. Ah, well, the joys of stitching and life.

Loved seeing all your WIPs. I am intrigued by the idea of 3 over 1 tent stitch for full coverage - might consider that for my next one. I agree - fabric dyeing is a lot of fun. So far, I've done some experimenting with fruit teas and red cabbage. Next I plan to try with avocado skins.

RIT dye, but one day I'd like to try using the good dye that fabric dyers use.

There’s nothing to fear, other than how much it can cost if you really get into it! 🤣
I still struggle a little with feeling like I am “wasting” fabric when I try new colors and don’t end up liking them, but my plan is to some day go back and add another color to see if I can still turn it into something I end up liking. It’s a lot of trial and error but so fulfilling when I get a color I really like!

I love to dye my own fabric too. I feel like I can make good blues, grays, and purples, but I can't get neutral colors that I like for samplers. My neutral attemps always skew too far to pinkish and reddish. I will keep trying, but I do love the look of your Darling David with the yellow tones. I loved seeing all your wips. I am working on Aimee Stewart's Once Upon a Fairytale shelf. I love it, but I have the regular size max color and the confetti is real. You are making such good progress on your stitching shelves!
I feel you with the confetti. The Grand Library I am doing is regular size max color and I don’t think I will ever do another max color again! It’s turning out really beautiful but it’s a struggle with all the color changes sometimes!!!

On your Dimensions with the stain, since it’s stitched in DMC on Aida- no over dying- you can simply wash it in a bowl with Dawn and warm water. The stain will probably come out and this way you won’t have to re-start 😊
