Doreen love your blessing sampler, the frame turned out great. Best wishes for your Mom's recovery. Leonardo is so cute, thanks for sharing your family pics.
Just found your flosstube through watching your cabin remodel updates which I really enjoyed. Love your prim stitching! You have inspired me to do more prim stitching to display in my early 1800’s farmhouse in PA. Thank you!
I'm so happy you're inspired! Thanks for watching. I just started stitching in November of 2022. I would go to the cross stitch store to buy floss for punchneedle, and I kept saying how I loved the prim designs on the dark fabric. It made me want to stitch, but I didn't think I ever would. Now here I am addicted to it.
Loved seeing all of your finishes, finds, & adventures. Prayers for a better day today with whatever you are going through! My blessing sampler this year is complete🎉 I chose The Harder the Conflict by Kitty Me Designs b/c last year seemed to have just as many conflicts/challenges as it did blessings. Not primitive, but I do have an “inspirational” wall I’m adding it to in my bedroom. Happy stitching❤️🪡🧵
Leonardo is so handsome, too bad he doesn’t care for his bow tie. 😊 Thanks for sharing all of your stitching and finishes. I appreciate the suggestions and ideas you share. I need to make a list of the designers that have a more prim style so I can lose my self browsing for patterns. Have a good day and stay warm. Our current temperature is 15 degrees and that’s actually considered a ‘warmer’ temperature than normal for January. ❄️♥️❄️
Doreen, I just absolutely love your design choices, stitching + finishes! Thank you so very much for sharing! What a true inspiration you are! Bless you + happy stitching!
Wow! Doreen your array of prim finishes really spoke to my primitive heart. I can’t even pick a favorite because I liked them all so much. Hope your mom is feeling better. It must be reassuring to her to have you so close by. Leonardo is a cute little guy. I really liked the family pic with Christmas tree and fireplace. Happy New year and I hope personal things that have come up will resolve to your liking soon. Take care.🪡🪡
I collect inexpensive sampler charts for a variety of alphabet fonts. Large samplers have a variety of alphabets charted. I find many at 1884 Stitchery. Wishing your Mom all the best. Love your creative finishing!
Hello, It's fun to individualize patterns. I keep a tablet of grid paper handy so I can change out a bit of a design. The idea of one big and one small sounds excellent. Happy New Year in your cozy cabin.
I'm similar to you on the framing, unless it's a big piece. I often just iron stiff interfacing onto the back of the piece then cut it to the same size as the frame. I only lace large pieces. Good video 😊
I liked all your finishes. I always learn a little something from your videos. I'm doing Proverbs 31 by Plum Street as my blessing sampler for this year. It's also my verse for the year. Praying that all the situations in your life work out according to God's will.
Hi Doreen, you can turn acrylic paint into a dye by adding a textile medium to it. You may need to thin it with water also. The medium helps the dye adhere to the fabric. In addition you will need to heat set the fabric with an iron afterwards.
Hi Doreen, the maker and mender cross stitch calls for so much fabric because you are to leave a lot of border. This is because it's done with the hem stitch in the model. I have done this stitch and love it.
Another great video. Still stitching Christmas as I have so many I want to do. Prayers to your mom. Great pictures at the end. I'm like you, as my project bags are all zip lock. Need to try to make some.
Love your projects! I'dbe afraid to use paint to dye linen with because what if the paint gets crunchy? Or maybe the paint will just stain the fabric? Let us know if you try it! Thanks!!!
I will. I'm not sure when it will happen, but I do want to try it. I used to do some stuff with paint on fabric, and if you add just a tiny bit of fabric softener, it makes it softer on the fabric.
Lovely finishes as always. Did you mount the piece on the grater with batting behind it? Just curious. It looked padded. The Christmas finish on the barnwood was my favorite. I was just watching Rhonda yesterday and she was talking about your suggested change. Leonardo of course always steals the show.❤
Love all your projects Doreen! Keep up the great work!
I love the HOME FINISH ! Fancy frame made really prim , it just works !❤
Wow, the Chinese lantern festival looked amazing. Thanks for sharing!❤
Doreen love your blessing sampler, the frame turned out great. Best wishes for your Mom's recovery. Leonardo is so cute, thanks for sharing your family pics.
Prayers sent for whatever you are facing. Thank you for sharing your time with all of us.
Thank you for the prayers!

Another fun video!! I love all your stitches!!
Prayers for you and your mom. I am going through the same thing with my mom. It's hard! I absolutely love your stitching and wool applique.
Thank you so much for the prayers. It's a tough time. Hugs to you.
I have grand doggies too! No grand babies but that’s okay. You have made me a prim lover. I want to stitch it all.
It is fun to stitch the prim patterns. 😊. I don't have any grandchildren either, and I'm totally fine with it. Thanks for watching.
Your needle is on fire!!! Your finishes are great as always. The Christmas photos were beautiful. Ill bet you had a great time.
We had a good time, and Leonardo snuggled right up with me on the couch. 🐕
Another great video! Prayers that your mama is resting and recovering!
Thank you. We're enjoying staying home this snowy weekend.

Well I really enjoyed your floss tube, (but I always do ◡̈ ), Your pieces are so sweet and you encourage me to fine more time to stitch! Thank you.

It sounds like you have a great system! I love the cozy cabin, too. I'm looking out the window at a snowy woods scene. ❄️
I love your little cabinet for the bathroom 😊
Thanks. Now I just need to finish it.

Great idea! Never thought of this!!

That is a beautiful verse. I hope your year is blessed! I'll have to check out that pattern.
Always so much good stuff.
Thank you!

Hi, what is a textile medium? Thx, Jill🪡🪡
@@karenevans6978 that makes sense. Mine will probably be framed.
@@j.a.devanney7523 it's sold with the craft paint. It makes the paint dry softer, and not wash off. You mix it with the paint.
Hope you are feeling better about things. Loved your projects.
Thank you so much! I just have to remind myself to trust God in everything.
Another great video. Still stitching Christmas as I have so many I want to do. Prayers to your mom. Great pictures at the end. I'm like you, as my project bags are all zip lock. Need to try to make some.
Thanks for the prayers, I appreciate it. The bags aren't too hard to make, but I have a little trouble keeping my top stitching lines straight.
Enjoyed your video, especially the finishes! 🌻
Thanks! I'm happy you enjoyed the finishes. I'll have some more soon.
@ Look forward to them!
Love ALL your finishes!! So fun yo watch!! Great ideas!!!!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Good job finding your cabinet.
Thanks. It wasn't nearby, but a friend that lives in that area picked it up for me.
Great video. Hope your mom is doing ok.
Great video Great projects Love the penny mat Nicely Done TYFS Stay Warm (Pauline S)
Thank you, Pauline!
Happy New Year Doreen. Beautiful projects.
Thanks, I'm so glad you liked the projects!
⛄⛄⛄
That's what's happening today! At least somewhere. It won't be me outside building a snowman. :-). I'll stay inside and stitch.
🙏
Thanks for watching and for the prayers.

Another ' wonderful video, I’m currently stitching on my Hometown SAL by Teresa Kogut 💗
Her patterns are beautiful.

I love that color of blue on the Winter Journal.
What type of camper do you have? I have my eyes set on a Little Guy Max.
Cute puppy! ❤❤❤

Yes I did. It has warm and natural behind it. Leonardo is adorable.
Hi , I have tried to use paint before but I find the paint can separate when diluted and and you end up with speaks or spots. Not successful. 🫤 Jan.xx
