Djokovic’s strokes are perfectly...textbook. If you had to give a technical lesson you’d use him. Federer has an elegant touch and Rafa electric. No matter the type of forehand he pretty sets himself up the exact same way. A freeze gram of his “ready” moment right before hitting is the same almost each time.
He gets incredible torque on the shot! He strings are parallel to the ground during the racquet lag, then he rotates the wrist sharply while bringing the racquet forward on contact with the ball. This must result in phenomenal spin. Amazing.
Main reason he’s become greatest match player of all time- extraordinary capacity of building on great natural talent and ever improve on his shots and game. Forehand for example, initially not as great as backhand (his most natural and intuitive shot) but he put his mind into it and developed into another superb weapon, same level as the BH: SOLID AS A ROCK. His serve almost the same thing! Novak isn’t just a great player and champion; he’s very VERY intelligent.
@@LoveTennisOfficial he is not a heavy hitter but because of his elasticity, he reached number 1. a topspin forehand and heavy flat backhand is a killer

the swing begins at the height of the trajectory of the ball that would be a flat hit. if you start the swing from below the trajectory, wrap the ball giving it more top spin
Interesting. The arm is bent a bit, somewhere between Federer's straight arm and Kyrgios's bent one, but it's essentially quite similar in terms of the front stance, the torso twisting for the windup. It's more similar to Nadal and Kyrgios, with the racquet doing a swivel-and-whip action to hit the ball, something that generates a lot of acceleration. Nadal and Kyrgios's racquet faces are very different however - Nadal's being bolt upright, Kyrgios's being flat and level with the ground. Djokovic's is in between, about 45 degrees. Nadal, Federer, Kyrgios and Djokovic all hold the racquet by the throat with their other hand for the backswing. Nadal does a fair length. Not sure if that makes a difference, but it means less stress on the arm over time.
Novak (on 22 may 2021 34 years old) shows the next gen forehand like Sinner, Shapovavlov, Sonego, Musetti and other young players. When he stays fit he can continue worlds best player for years.
The most replayed section of this video doesn't have anything to actually do with djokovic. It's actually when the cheesy music ends and the good music begins.
I think it's too underrated. He has a simple whith a simple follow through but it's effective and can cause a lot of damage. Also unlike Rafa he doesn't overspin the ball
HE doesn't drop the racket and go up to the ball for contact...his racket is parallel to the level of the ball but he generates spin from the wrist windshield wiping the hell out of that ball.....Also, I have such a hard time relaxing my arm like he does...You could tell from the recoil how loose he stays ...
Actually, they are all good and it depends on their footwork. We have to consider the footwork to get in position, striking the ball with power/speed, and accuracy. This will represent the forehand side of a tennis player and Agassi won't even make the top 10. Just as I type, I can think of a few players. Del Potro, Soldering, Berdych, Marat Safin, and of course, Rafa, Roger, and Novak are the all-around best. Dominic Thiem has the best forehand now. Racket technology has a lot to do with speed and power.
He doesn't have the best looking slomo forehand. But it's beautifully fluid in live timing, and the dwell time of the ball on his racket strings is so long
the coach is right. if the player hits in the air, it's the result of the powerful swing motion that elevates them to the air. In most cases, the feet stays on the ground

His forehead is so underrated. It is not most powerful but the most consistent and accurate.
He is using his left hand to also measure where his feet should be when hitting every shot.
Well it's hard to see exactly how great his forehead is in this video, due to his cap.
