I think I have found another guitar idol. This dude is freaking awsome. Catching him here and there and he's really got me burning to pay again. He's definitely got the fire and the attitude to go with it. I can already see that I'm going to be tuning in a lot more
I did a similar vid on the polish version of Roseanna on youtube. I also reached a point of saturation! There is only so much you can transcribe without putting serious time in. As you say it's too fast at times. Breaking his improvised solos down is very rewarding, though, he is a bit of a genius in that respect. If your'e ever stuck in a rut,- get the Luke out! Some of his phrases begin to reveal the VAST amount of playing he has done creatively. When you think about it he must have done three or four quick sessions in a day at times, and then gone out to gig. For years!! The word amazing is used far too often these days, but the depth in Luke's playing is truly amazing.
Great lesson. You're right, his fast stuff baffles me sometimes. I've been trying to work out the fast lick in the "I'll be Over You" Paris 1991 version of that solo, for years.
Great stuff! Just recently found your channel and watched and subscribed because of the great Dan Huff you were doing. Also a huge Luke fan. Your teaching style is fantastic. How about continuing on to show what you said was your own interpretation of the end of the solo starting roughly at 22 seconds? Absolutely killer descending and ascending runs. Would love to have you give the same detailed breakdown of that even if wasn't exactly what Luke played! It fit so nicely! How about a follow up vid with that, pls?! Thx n it's all great!! So glad I found your channel. Hope this vid / comment isn't so old you don't see it!
@@RichardWatson Absolutely! Love the track through and through now that I’m singing and playing it😂 I love to watch the 2013 version of Rosanna on their official channel, so I shall “borrow” more from Steve😂 And see you on Friday!

Absolutely, Mike! Luke's vocabulary and ability to improvise is just insane. He is a well of great phrasing ideas!
