How long is the cord tie in length when completed please?

Make it what size you like but long enough to tie. I think I made it 12 inches from memory.

About 7 inches is best. 12 is far too long

They had to boil it first then freeze it. It worked out ok for them. Which ever wool you use it does need to form a proper knot that doesn’t come loose.
